la fig. 1 è una vista schematica laterale del corpo di aspirapolvere in posizione operativa;
The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner body.
More particularly, the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner body of the type comprising a suction chamber equipped with a filter for separating the suction flow produced by a motor mounted above said chamber with respect to the impurities sucked, and a material collection tank aspirated, separable from the suction chamber and placed below it.
Notoriously the bodies of vacuum cleaners equipped with a separable suction chamber and tank, are provided with hooks for fixing the tank to the chamber, able to keep the edge of the tank firmly in contact with the edge of the chamber during aspiration and therefore avoid the leakage of powder.
When emptying the tank, it is therefore necessary to loosen the hooks to allow the separation of the tank from the suction chamber.
Another type of vacuum cleaner body differs from the first in that it provides, as an alternative to the fixing hooks, a lever located below the tank with which it is possible to carry out a push and release movement of the tank itself with respect to the suction, therefore keeping the tank respectively in the union position, when the lever is locked in the position of maximum thrust or separation, when the lever is in the position of maximum disengagement with respect to the suction chamber.
The first of the types mentioned, however, has the drawback of requiring the user to carry out numerous release and hooking maneuvers respectively for removing and relocating the tank, generally being provided with at least two hooks to secure the tank to the suction chamber.
In addition, the user is required to lower himself to the level of the tank to reach the attachment points with his hand.
In the second case, in which a lever is provided as an alternative to the hooks, although it is possible to raise and lower the tank with respect to the chamber with a single movement, however it is still necessary for the user to lower himself to reach the lever.
Furthermore, the extraction of the tank is not always easy due to the presence of the lever. The object of the present invention is therefore to make available to users a vacuum cleaner body which facilitates the operations to be performed for emptying the tank containing the aspirated material and which is simple and inexpensive to manufacture.
These and other objects are achieved by the body of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention which comprises a suction chamber, equipped with a suction nozzle, mounted on a frame, in which the filter for separating the suction flow produced by a group is provided with respect to the sucked impurities conveyed by gravity into a collection tank of the suctioned material, separable from the suction chamber and placed below it, characterized by the fact of providing means for hooking the collection tank, controlled by means of tie rods hinged to a crank, with a handle integral with said crank located above the suction chamber, said handle being rotatable between a transport position and a cleaning position, and operating by means of the hooking means, the tie rods and the cranks,
in the passage from the cleaning position to the transport position, the lifting of the tank towards the suction chamber and, in the passage from the transport position to the cleaning position, the lowering of the tank with respect to the suction chamber.
A preferred but not exclusive embodiment of the invention will now be described, with reference to the attached figures in which:
fig. 1 is a schematic side view of the body of the vacuum cleaner in the operating position;
fig. 2 is a schematic side view of the vacuum cleaner body in which the tank is in a lowered position for picking up.
With reference to the attached figures, the vacuum cleaner body comprises a suction chamber 1, internally equipped with a filter for separating the suction flow with respect to the impurities sucked, rigidly fixed to the uprights 2 of a frame 3 provided with a base 4 equipped with wheels 5 and 6, to which the suction unit 7 is coupled above and a collection tank 8 of the sucked material below.
A suction mouth 9, on which a flanged manifold 10 adapted to receive a suction duct, not shown, is mounted, is provided in the suction chamber 1.
On the free ends of each upright 2 a crank 12 is provided, obtained by means of a substantially semicircular element, rotatable around a central pin fixed to the uprights 2, and integral with the ends of a handle 11 bent "U".
The end of a pair of tie rods 13 provided for sliding parallel to the uprights 2 is also pivotally pivoted on the periphery of the cranks 12.
The opposite end of the tie rods 13 is provided with a coupling pin 14, turned towards the inside of the frame 3 through slots 17 made in the uprights 2, suitable for cooperating with diametrically opposite radial protrusions 22, provided on the sides of the tank 8.
Upon the rotary movement of the "U" handle 11, the cranks 12 cause the tie rods 13 connected to the coupling pins 14 to cooperate with the radial projections 22 of the tank 8 to be raised and lowered.
In this way, turning the handle 11 causes the raising and lowering of the tank 8 which is respectively attracted, as shown in fig. 1, and moved away, as illustrated in fig. 2, from the base of the filter chamber 1.
A gasket 18 is interposed between the base of the chamber 1 and the tank 8, suitable for sealing the closure between the chamber and the tank and preventing the escape of dust.
The tank 8 is also provided with wheels 15 and handles 16 which facilitate its movement when it is to be extracted from the body of the vacuum cleaner for emptying.
The user can thus operate by acting exclusively on the handle 11 which acts as a hold for transporting and controlling the release of the tank 8, moving forward and backward to insert and withdraw the tank from the rest of the vacuum cleaner body.
The handle 11 is also equipped with a button 19 with which it is possible to control the axial movement of a pair of pins 20, provided at the union of the ends of the handle 11 with the cranks 12.
The pins 20 couple with notches 21 provided on the end of the uprights 2 in the maximum excursion positions of the handle 11 to firmly lock the handle 11 in its working position and in the position of extraction of the tank 8.
