Beschreibung description
The object of the invention is an edge profile for a roof closure of a building according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
For flat roofs, for aesthetic reasons or to retain water, it is necessary to build the masonry or a facade made of metal or wood above the level of the roof. In order to be able to create a watertight build-up with the roof covering made of roofing felt or plastic film, the roofing felt or plastic film is usually pulled up on the inside of the raised wall in brick buildings. In order to prevent water from penetrating from above into the masonry as well as between the roofing felt or plastic film and the masonry, the excessive wall sections are now covered with a U-shaped plate that covers the top edge of the bricked-up edge on both sides. Such cover plates have several disadvantages. On the one hand, in most cases the rainwater running down the sheet metal cover on the outside of the facade is not drained away from the wall and thus causes unsightly, vertical discoloration. On the other hand, in heavy rainfalls, water can rise between the sheet metal cover and the raised roof covering made of roofing felt or plastic film and penetrate into the masonry. In addition, railings can only be attached to the known roof ends with great effort, and new weak points in the roof sealing always arise, which can lead to water damage.
The object of the present invention is to create an edge profile for a flat roof, which on the one hand allows a perfect drainage of dripping water from the facade and on the other hand enables a tight connection under all circumstances between the roof skin and the edge profile. Another object of the invention is to provide the basis for fastening a railing.
The first object is achieved by the features of patent claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the dependent claims.
The edge profile can be easily attached and aligned on the wall head before the roof skin and, if necessary, heat or sound insulation and / or vapor barrier are installed. The edge profile can be aligned by appropriately bending tabs with plastic wedges or by means of set screws, and the edge profile can then be embossed with cement. The two drip edge sections forming the bead guide the water to the drip edge lying at a distance from the wall. The sloping inner drip edge section ensures that no water can get from the drip edge back into the support surface on the wall head. A particularly stiff design of the edge profile can be achieved by an additional section of the end leg running outwards. This takes over part of the roof load and it increases the strength and load-bearing capacity of the section of the wall under the roof above windows or other openings. The inward fold on the upper edge of the forehead prevents rainwater from penetrating directly between the roof skin and the forehead. A U-shaped cover can be placed on the outward fold, which covers the roof skin that extends beyond the fold and at the same time clamps it. The edge profile can be attached to the wall head with simple means and very precisely. By embezzlement, i.e. Filling the cavity between the wall head and the underside of the support leg, the aligned edge profile is definitely stabilized. The roof skin drawn up on the inside of the forehead allows water to never come into contact with the connection point between the roof skin and the forehead when water is backed up, and consequently there are no particular requirements for the adhesive bond. Railing posts can be arranged fixedly or releasably on the edge profile in a simple and secure manner. The fastening of the railing posts does not require any additional anchoring in the wall and consequently no openings through the roof skin, so that no additional weak points with regard to the tightness of the roof structure have to be created. The fastening means for fastening the railing posts to the edge profiles can be screwed or welded onto the outside of the end legs in a simple manner. Water trickling down from the railing posts is drained off via the drip edge of the edge profile and cannot get onto the facade.
With the cover profile made of sheet metal or plastic that surrounds the fold in a clamp-like manner, the roof skin pulled up on the edge profile can be held clamped in a simple manner. This eliminates the need for gluing to the edge profile. Water running out of the edge profile when the roof is overfilled during a major rain event cannot penetrate between the roof skin and the edge profile, since both the edge of the edge profile and the edge of the roof skin are directed downwards at the edge of the fold. A roof equipped with an edge profile according to the invention can consequently be used without any problems for damming up water. The edge profile can also be used to connect a new component attached to an existing building. The drip edge serves as a spacer at the connection and dilation point of the two buildings.

On the wall head 1 of a brick or concrete wall 3 or a structure made of metal or wood of a flat or shed roof building is a made of sheet metal, e.g. Chrome steel sheet, iron sheet, copper sheet or another metal or plastic edge profile 5 placed. The edge profile 5 lies with its horizontally arranged support leg 7 on the surface 2 of the wall head 1. A pressed cork plate 9 can be inserted between the support leg 7 and the surface 2 for thermal insulation. To adjust the edge profile 5 on the wall head 1, a self-tapping adjusting screw 11 is used in the first embodiment in the support leg 7. So that the roof load does not rest on the screw 11 after adjusting the edge profile 5, 7 recesses 13 (see FIG. 3) are punched out in the support leg, through which a filler material, e.g. Mortar or a plastic foam can be inserted between the support leg 7 and the surface of the wall head 1.
On the facade side, a bead 15 is formed on the support leg 7, which consists, for example, of two sections 17 and 19 which run downward at an acute angle to the support leg 7. The drip edge 21 formed by the two sections 17, 19 lies at a distance a from the surface 4 of the wall 3. In the drip edge 21 at intervals of e.g. 1 m holes 22 can be attached through which condensation water formed in the edge profile 5 can escape. The kink 6 between the section 17 and the support leg 7 can serve as a stop for the alignment of the edge profiles 5 to the surface 4 of the wall 3. At the outer drip edge section 19 adjoins an upwardly extending end section 23, which ends in the designs according to part of the figures in a fold 25 directed towards the building. Preferably, the front leg 23 is vertical or approximately vertical, i.e. arranged parallel to the wall surface 4. After the edge profile 5 has been installed and its exact alignment, the desired roof structure is placed and fastened in a conventional manner on the support leg 7. This can consist, for example, of a corrugated or trapezoidal sheet 27, the front edge of which comes close to or completely up to the front leg 23. The corrugated or trapezoidal sheet 27 can be fastened to the wall head 1 by shooting bolts into the support leg 7. Instead of corrugated sheet 27, another suitable roof material can of course also be applied. Roofing paper or a plastic film can be glued on as roof skin 29. An insulation plate 31, which also serves as a base for the roof skin 29, usually comes to lie between the corrugated sheet 27 and the roof skin 29.
1 and 2, the roof skin 29 is pulled up and glued to the front leg 23 of the edge profile 5. The fold 25, which projects beyond the free edge 33 of the roof skin 29, prevents water from penetrating from above between the roof skin 29 and the front leg 23. To protect against direct sunlight and as mechanical protection when walking on the roof, a can over the roof skin 29 Gravel bed 35 must be created, in which - especially in summer - additional water is dammed up.
To increase the strength of the support leg 7, the rear edge 37 can also be bent.
The design of the edge profile 5 according to the invention in FIGS. 2 and 3 differs from that in FIG. 1 in that the front leg 23 has an outwardly bent section 39 in its lower region, through which the rainwater flowing downward from the front leg 23 first of all to the outside, ie is guided away from the facade surface 4. In addition, an adjusting screw is replaced by a tab 41 punched out of the support leg 7 and bent downwards. To adjust the edge profile 5, the distance to the surface 2 of the wall head 1 can be adjusted by bending the tab 41 more or less with a plastic wedge .
In both embodiments of the invention according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the front drip edge section 19 can alternatively also be arranged completely or approximately vertically (forgi, embodiment shown in broken lines in FIG. 2).
Was- In the case of the edge profiles 5 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the fold 25 can also be designed to run outwards (outwards) instead of to the side of the roof (inwards) (FIGS. 4 and 5). The outward fold allows the roof skin 29 not only to be pulled up by the front leg 23 but also to extend beyond the fold 25 to its edge which projects downwards. As before, the roof skin can be glued to the front leg 23; it is also possible to pull the roof skin 29 only loosely beyond the fold 25 and clamp it there with a U-shaped cover part 45 made of sheet metal or plastic. This ensures that even if there is an overflow or overflow of pent-up water

ser kein solches zwischen den Stirnschenkel 23 und die Dachhaut 29 eindringt (Fig. 6). no such water penetrates between the front leg 23 and the roof skin 29 (Fig. 6).
Fig. 8) zu verstärken. Fastening means 47 for fastening railing posts 49 can be attached to the front leg 23. The fasteners 47, e.g. cuboid metal profiles can be attached to the front leg 23 either by screws 51 or by welding. In the embodiment of the invention according to FIG. 7, the railing post 49 is firmly connected to the fastening means 47, wherein the connection can be made by welding. In the embodiment of the invention according to FIG. 9, in which the fold 25 is bent inwards at the edge profile 5, the railing post 49 can also be connected directly to the end leg by a weld 53. If the railing posts 49 are only required for revision work, or if the railing posts 49 need to be temporarily removed for maintenance work, a hole 55 can be made in the fastening means 47, for example, into which the railing post 49 can be inserted and, if necessary or desired, can be locked by a screw 57 . Of course, other types of plug or connection can also be provided for connecting the railing post 49 to the fastening means 47 or directly to the edge profile 5. 7 shows in broken lines on the fastening means 47 an upwardly projecting nose 46 which engages under the fold 25. Forces acting on the railing post 49 can be transmitted directly to the edge profile 5 and absorbed by the nose 46. All fastening variants of the railing posts 49 do not require a breakthrough in the roof skin 29, since no anchoring in the underlying wall is necessary. Penetration of water at the fastening points of the railing posts 49 is thereby absolutely ruled out. If high forces can act on the railing posts 49, it is possible to reinforce the edge profile 5 on the side of the fastening means 47 by welded-in plates 59 (cf. FIG. 8). With appropriate dimensioning of the sheet thickness of the edge profile 5 reinforcements can of course be omitted.
The edge profiles 5 according to the invention can also be used for the watertight connection of an old building 61 with a new building 63 attached to it. 11, the edge profile 5 is placed on the wall head 1 of the new building 63 as in the exemplary embodiments described above. The section 39 projecting outward from the end leg 23 serves as a spacer to the end face 65 of the roof termination on the old building 61.
The space between the front leg (23) of the new building 63 and the front surface 65 of the old building 61 can be foamed. The outward bend 25 covers the roof end 67 of the old building 61, the wall structure 1 of which in the neighboring area also serves as a border for the new building 63.
After installing the edge profiles 5 on the roof, the end faces of the neighboring ones
Randprofile 5 stirnseitig miteinander verschweisst werden. Edge profiles 5 are welded together on the end face.
