PATENTANSPRÜCHE
Fig. 2 eine Ansicht eines Verschlussdeckels, und

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Tool for inserting and removing a manhole cover that can be inserted into a frame (16), characterized by a spindle (13 with a lever (11) attached at one end for rotating the spindle (1) and an external thread (2) at the other end, which can be screwed into and out of a corresponding thread (10) of a hole leading through the manhole cover and a rotating body (4) mounted on the screw-in end of the spindle (1) which, when the spindle (1) is screwed through, on the bearing surface of the frame (16) can be unrolled.
2. Tool according to claim 1, characterized in that the rotating body (4) is mounted in a wheel head (3) with a pin (9) inserted into a longitudinal bore of the spindle (1).
3. Tool according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the rotating body (4) is a wheel, and that the tread of the wheel is spherical.
The invention relates to a tool for inserting and removing a manhole cover that can be inserted into a frame.
Large manhole covers often have to be used and lifted either by several workers or by using heavy lifting devices such as a crane. After a long period of use, the manhole covers are often clamped in the frame, so that lifting them out is time-consuming and requires great effort. Even lighter lids can often not be lifted with the known simple tools.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a tool with which heavy or jammed manhole covers can be inserted and lifted with little effort. The tool should be inexpensive to manufacture and easy to use. The tool according to the invention is characterized by a spindle with a lever attached at one end for rotating the spindle and an external thread at the other end, which can be screwed into and out of a corresponding thread of a bore through the manhole cover, and one at the screw-in end of the spindle mounted rotating body, which can be rolled on the bearing surface of the frame when the spindle is screwed through. The tool according to the invention has the particular advantage that, when screwed in, it can be used as a handle for carrying, rolling or grinding the manhole cover.
Further advantageous developments result from the dependent claims.
An embodiment of the tool according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a section through a partially shown manhole cover with an inserted tool and shown in view,
Fig. 2 is a view of a cover, and
Fig. 3 is a partially sectioned view of an excavated manhole cover.
1 shows a manhole cover 5 'inserted into a frame 15 and shown in dash-dot lines and a raised manhole cover 5. The manhole cover has two threaded pieces 6 arranged laterally and opposite each other, into each of which a tool can be screwed and screwed.
The tool has a spindle 1 with an external thread 2, which can be screwed into a corresponding internal thread 10 of the threaded piece 6. A lever 11 attached to the spindle 1 serves to rotate the tool and, in the screwed-in position, to carry, roll or grind the manhole cover 5.
At the screw-in end of the spindle 1, a wheel 4 rotatable about a wheel axis 7 is mounted in a wheel head 3. The wheel head 3 has a pin 9 which is inserted into a corresponding opening of the pin 1 and is fixed with a pin 17.
To lift a manhole cover 5 inserted into the frame 15, two tools are screwed into the manhole cover 5 until the wheels rest on the bearing surface 16 of the frame 15. When the tools continue to be turned, the shaft covers 5 'and 5 are lifted out of the frame 15 by the spindle effects of the threads 2 and 10. So that the tools can be rotated easily, the treads of the wheels 4 are spherical. The tool is advantageously designed such that the manhole cover 5 cannot be raised above the upper edge of the frame 15. This prevents the lid from accidentally rolling away. 1, the manhole cover 5 is raised more for the sake of illustration. The raised manhole cover 5 can now be extended up to half its width into the position shown in FIG. 3 with little effort.
To carry, roll or grind the manhole cover 5, the wheels are drawn in by rotating tools and the levers 11 are used as carrying handles.
In order to prevent the threaded pieces 6 from becoming blocked, they can be screwed into these cover caps 12, which are provided with an external thread 13 and a non-circular recess 14 for attaching a drilling tool. The dense bottom of the recess is weakened in such a way that it can be pierced if the recess is closed.
The tool according to the invention is particularly suitable for rectangular manhole covers 5 and 5 ', however, it can also be used to lift and transport manhole covers of other shapes.
