Description
The invention relates to a thread-guiding component (e.g. godet, drawing pin) for drawing devices for the production of high-polymer spun threads and to a method for producing such a component.
Die Highly polymeric spun threads get their final properties only through a stretching process, by means of which the thread or the thread cable is plastically stretched to a multiple of its original length under molecular orientation. Usual degrees of stretching are between> 1 and 4. The stretching usually takes place on or between rolls or pairs of rolls equipped with laying rollers, which are wrapped several times by the threads, the ratio of the differences in peripheral speeds to one another determining the stretching ratio. The rolls in question are also regularly referred to as godets. The spatial position of the drawing points is preferably determined, either on special godets or drawing pins, relative to which the threads perform sliding movements. The godets and / or stretching pins in question have thread-guiding properties. The
Sliding movement affects both the surfaces of the thread-guiding components and the threads themselves.
It is already known to design thread-guiding components with surface coatings made of hard chrome, nickel or purely ceramic materials. In the latter case, the surface layers consist, for example, of a mixture of aluminum oxide and titanium dioxide, which is applied by plasma spraying. It is also known to roughen hard chrome layers on godets by sandblasting.
Depending on the nature of the surface layers, there are considerable differences in the running properties. The criteria here are the number and scope of the following processes: thread breaks or cable breaks, capillary breaks, loop formation, winding formation and thread adhesion.
Since the surface properties of the thread-guiding components play a special role, the surface roughness was measured to assess the surface structure and friction coefficients were determined using the usual measurement methods.
The “Perth-O-METER” measuring device, type Universal 34bd / 4, was used to measure the roughness depth. It is an electronic surface measuring device that belongs to the category of stylus cutters. Here, the surface profile is mechanically scanned by a stylus and the movement of the stylus is converted into the writing on a writing strip using an electro-mechanical converter. The probe tip consists of a diamond needle with a tip radius of approximately 10 micrometers.
It was determined by measurements that a highly polished hard chrome surface had a roughness depth of 0.5 mm. Since it is to be expected that the thread will have a large contact surface on the godet surface over its entire width at a low surface roughness, there is inevitably a high static friction or a large sliding friction.
If a hard chrome layer is sandblasted, the roughness increases to about 9 micrometers. In addition, positive and negative peaks increasingly appear at irregular intervals, the positive peaks being of greater importance. For example, maximum peak heights of approximately 5 micrometers were measured, so that with a capillary diameter of the threads of approximately 30 micrometers, damage or deformation of the capillaries cannot be ruled out. The measured sliding friction values depend on the thread take-off speed v. At v = 1 m / min they amount to f = 0.123; at v = 25 m / min at f = 0.166 and at v = 100 m / min at f = 0.227. A large surface roughness results in a low coefficient of friction, which can be explained by the low surface contact the thread experiences.
For a godet with a chemically deposited nickel layer, the surface roughness measurement showed a value of 5 to 6 micrometers. This showed positive and negative peaks, of which the positive peaks had a maximum height of approximately 2 micrometers. The coefficients of friction were between f = 0.210 at v = 1 m / min and f = 0.257 at v = 100 m / min.
A so-called plasma torch is usually used for this purpose, in which an arc is drawn either between a central electrode and a ring electrode, or between a central electrode and the workpiece. By feeding in powdered coating materials using a suitable gas that contributes to plasma formation, the finest droplets of the coating material are generated and applied to the surface to be coated5

spritzt, wo sie unter Wärmeabfuhr an das Werkstück zu einer Oberflächenschicht erstarren. splashes where they solidify to a surface layer while dissipating heat to the workpiece.
Roughness depth measurements on surface layers made of purely ceramic materials produced by plasma spraying have resulted in roughness depths of 4.5 to 5 micrometers. The number of positive peaks is small and is of a magnitude that is negligible.
Adverse interactions between the layers and the threads were found in all known surface layers. For example, a thread that runs over a hard-chromed godet or a hard-chromed drawing pin causes a constant change in the surface, which inevitably changes the thread tension and thread running properties. Clear changes in the surface of a stretching pin were already detected after 10,000 m of thread material had passed over it. With a hard chrome surface roughened by sandblasting, capillary damage to the contact surfaces was shown by adhesive forces.
The chemically deposited surface layer made of nickel showed better properties, but only when used for fixing and outlet godets. When using such a surface layer for stretching and friction godets, however, satisfactory results could not be achieved. The service life was correspondingly short, since clear traces of grinding were already visible after a short time.
The behavior of the ceramic layer applied by plasma spraying has been shown to be relatively cheap. This layer obviously reduces friction and ensures good thread running. Capillary fractures and damage were also not observed as long as the godets in question were used as fixation or outlet godets. When used in the spin-stretch process as a stretching or however, a satisfactory run could not be achieved as a fixing godet.
As a further criterion for the assessment of the surface properties, the effects on the static electrical charging of the threads or thread cables must also be taken into account. A measuring apparatus was used to investigate the influence, which is described in more detail below.
The electrostatic behavior of synthetic fibers is of great importance for all manufacturing and processing processes. The causes and consequences of electrostatic charging are very complex in nature, although it can be said that the lowest possible electrostatic charging of the threads should be aimed for.
In tests with the known surface layers, it was found that when using pure oxide layers, electrical voltages between 560 and 1000 V / cm occurred. Even when using a surface layer made of chemically deposited nickel, voltages between 530 and 730 V / cm were measured.
The invention is based on the object of specifying a thread-guiding component for drawing devices for the production of high-polymer spinning thread and a method for producing such a component which lead to surface properties which result in the lowest possible number of thread breaks, capillary breaks, loops and winders and to one low thread adhesion in connection with a low electrostatic charge.

It is particularly advantageous if a mixture of a nickel-chromium alloy and chromium carbide is sprayed onto the surface as a ceramic component.
All percentages are percentages by weight.
With regard to the coating technology to be used, it is of particular advantage if the starting material of the surface layer is applied by the known methods of plasma spraying or detonation coating.
Plasma spraying is already a widely used coating technology, while the detonation process has only recently become increasingly widespread. In the latter method, a detonation gun is used for the coating, which essentially consists of a tubular elongated reaction chamber which, like a gun, protrudes from a control block for gases, material powder and electronics. Precisely metered mixtures of oxygen, acetylene and powdered spray material are detonated in the reaction chamber by an electrical spark. The hot gas jet generated in this way melts the material particles slightly and accelerates them in the tubular outlet opening to a speed of> 800 m / sec. When these particles hit the surface of the material at supersonic speed, micro-welding occurs, which leads to a tough connection with the base material. This creates extremely wear-resistant layers with above-average adhesive strength and density.
The surface layer obtainable by the process according to the invention advantageously has a structure whose surface is a punctiform, corrugated surface, which can also be referred to as wrinkles or orange peel. The coefficient of friction when a thread slides on the surface in question is between f = 0.148 at v = 1 m / min and f = 0.238 at v = 100 m / min. The roughness is between 21 and 24 micrometers. The thread-guiding components in question could easily be used as stretching and fixing godets and as stretching pins. There were no thread or capillary breaks, loops or wraps. Thread adhesion was also not observed. The measured electrostatic charge was between 330 and 445 V / cm for cords without stabilizer and between 380 and 510 V / min for cords with stabilizer, whereby it must be said that the measured values were subject to fluctuations depending on different preparations (unknown composition). However, in view of the comparative tests carried out with other godet coatings, but with the same preparations, this has no influence on the meaningfulness of the measured values, which are significantly lower in the subject matter of the invention than in the known surface coatings.
About 100,000 m of a thread cable were experimentally pulled over a straightening pin according to the invention without any traces of grinding becoming visible.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to Tables I and II and FIGS. 1 and 2.
Ren layer consists of 20% metallic and 80% ceramic substance, has a surface resistance of 0.12 Q / cm. The surface resistances of the godets coated with it are of the same order of magnitude. Electrostatic charges can drain off well via the metallic surfaces of the godets.
Die keramischen Schichten haben Oberflächenwider-stände von 4,4 x 103 Q/cm bzw. 5 x 105 Q/cm. The ceramic layers have surface resistances of 4.4 x 103 Q / cm or 5 x 105 Q / cm. The surface acts as an insulator, so that electrostatic charges can only be dissipated with difficulty. Table I contains test results obtained on a stretch godet duo on a production scale.
Table II contains test results with the same godets, but which were operated in an experimental arrangement according to FIG. 2, in order to obtain comparable quantitative statements about the electrostatic charge. The test numbers refer to bobbins with the same threads. In the various experiments 1 to 13, both the preparations and the additives were varied. Details regarding the preparations and additives are of minor importance here, since advantages in favor of the surface layer according to the invention are shown in practically all cases.
1 shows a godet 1 according to the invention, which consists of a base body 2 and a surface layer 3 applied according to the invention.
Determination of the electrostatic charge shown. The thread 4 to be examined comes from a spinning bobbin 5 and first runs over a thread brake 6 with a set thread tension of 0.5 cN / dtex onto the godet 1 with a wrap angle of 540 degrees.
After leaving the godet 1, the thread 4 is guided over two thread guides 7 and 8, which have a defined distance from a measuring probe 9 that remains constant during the tests. The distance between the thread guide 7 and the measuring probe 9 was 70 cm and the distance between the measuring probe 9 and the thread guide 8 was 10 cm, the total measuring distance between the two thread guides was therefore 80 cm. The thread 4 was finally taken up by a take-off device 10, which ensures a thread take-off speed of 100 m / min. The measurement duration was 5 minutes for each test.
The measuring probe 9 consisted of an alpha emitter (Ra) with an activity of approx. 80 n Ci, by means of which an electrical field was generated. The thread arriving with different electrostatic charges caused a change in this field, which was recorded as the measurement result (tables).
The thread was passed the probe at a distance of 1 cm. The actual measuring field was the immediate area of an opening with a diameter of 4.5 mm in the probe. The measurement was carried out continuously over the entire thread width.
