Description

When building windows and glass doors, iron profiles are often used to form the load-bearing frame, which are then clad with light metal profiles after the panes have been inserted. To fasten these cladding profiles, clamping elements are generally used, which hold the cladding profiles together on one or both sides.
One of these types of embodiment is shown in Fig. 1, where 1 shows the load-bearing profile, 2 the cladding profiles, 3 the clamping elements and 4 the retaining tabs used to hold the glass. These retaining tabs fix the glass pane 5 within the load-bearing profile 1 during assembly.
Another known design principle is shown in Fig. 2, where a double-acting clamping piece 6 is shown.
Fig. 3 now shows an embodiment of the clamping piece according to the invention, which serves the same purpose. An improvement over the known embodiments consists in the fact that one of the two retaining tabs 7 is firmly connected to the clamping body of the clamping piece, but the other 8 is flexibly connected. This embodiment thus facilitates the insertion of the glass pane 9 to a great extent, since after the fastening of the clamping piece and the insertion of the pane into the frame, the second, flexibly arranged holding tab is also at hand for insertion without hindering the retraction of the pane beforehand would have.
Since the retaining tab 8, which is flexibly connected to the clamping body, is provided with a protruding tooth 10 which easily engages in the recess 11 when it is inserted, the flexible retaining tab can be snapped in under slight pressure or, if necessary, snapped out again.
Fig. 4 shows the clamping piece from the side with fixed 7 and flexible 8 retaining tabs. A thin connection 12 connects the flexible retaining tab 8 to the clamping body.
PATENT CLAIM
Clamping piece for holding a pane of glass in a frame, characterized in that the clamping piece has a clamping body with two retaining tabs (7, 8), one of which (8) is connected to the clamping body by a flexible connection (12).
