Control system for an elevator The invention relates to a control system for an elevator with a plurality of stops which, in response to signals, allows the elevator car to move away from any selected stop and stop at any selected stop.
The control system of an elevator, which is usually also referred to as a selector part, serves two purposes. So it scans the stops before approaching the car in order to select the one at which the next stop should be made. After selecting the stop, the selector forms a control signal for controlling the drive motor, whereby the drive motor delays the car depending on the distance from the selected stop to ensure that the car comes to a standstill exactly at the stop position.
Many elevator control systems have been designed and manufactured which will properly perform this function. However, it is mostly heavy and very complicated mechanical Vorrichtun conditions. It was therefore sought to produce controls that are not only lighter and more compact, but. also mechanically easier. The difficulty here is that the devices are either more expensive to manufacture and install than the previous elective parts, and they are mostly unable to perform the functions as flawlessly as the previous elective parts, especially in high buildings.
The invention aims to provide a control system for an elevator which is mechanically simple, in which most of the previously required mechanical parts are omitted, which is comparable in terms of function to the previous control system and can be manufactured and installed at a price which is lower than that of the previous tax systems.

As shown in Fig. 1, a lift cabin 10 with a counterweight 11 is suspended on ropes 12 in the usual manner. The car always moves when the brake 13 is lifted and a motor 14 receives power from a motor and operating mode controller 15 and a cable drum 16 rotates. When the cable drum 16 rotates, the shaft 18 of the motor 14 simultaneously drives a tachometer generator 17 which supplies a voltage proportional to the speed of the car 10 in a line VT ".
A belt 19 connects the car 10 to the counterweight 11. The belt 19 is guided over a chain wheel 21 and drives it when the car moves between any of the stops L1 to LT. The sprocket 21 is used to drive the input shaft of a first transmission GB1. The output shaft of this gear serves at the same time to drive the input shaft of a second gear GB2 and a rotor BR1 contained in a first control device 1, i.e. an electrical sliding contact of a multi-turn first potentiometer P1,
which is used to determine the car position. Depending on the positions of contacts KHl of a holding relay KH and of contacts 1K1, 2K1 and TKl of selector relays 1K, 2K and TK for the floors, the resistance element of the potentiometer P1 is either connected directly to the voltage between a line E2 + and earth or in Bridge circuit with the resistance element of one of the first comparison potentiometers 1RE1, 2RE1 or TREl switched, which are connected to lines E2-,
E2- are connected, the rotor BR1 is connected either via contacts KH3 of the holding relay KH and a resistor R1 to one of the inputs of a summing amplifier ADSUM or via contacts KH2 of the holding relay KH to the input circuit of a function transmitter HSFG for high cabin speeds.
The output of the function generator HSFG is connected to the motor controller 15 via a line HSF and contacts LSE1. Another input of the engine controller 15 is connected to a distance comparison device HXCOM via a line HX.
The comparison device HXCOM has three inputs, of which the first via contacts XD3 of an auxiliary relay XD for the downward direction of travel with a line E4, the second input via contacts XU3 of an auxiliary relay XU for the upward direction of travel with the line E4 + and the third via a resistor R7 is connected to a signaling device responsive to speeds. This signaling device includes a capacitive proximity circuit AC and a clamping circuit VCL with a variable voltage.
The proximity circuit AC is via a resistor R6, contacts XUl of the auxiliary relay XU for the upward direction of travel and a line El with a source for negative voltage and via a resistor R5, contacts XD1 of the auxiliary relay Xd for the downward direction of travel and line E1 + with a source for positive voltage connected.
Depending on the direction of travel, one or the other of these circuits forms a charging circuit for a capacitor QA, which can be discharged via a resistor R4 and contact KH4 of the holding relay KH. The voltage-carrying electrode of the capacitor is connected via a resistor R3 and the resistor R7 to the mentioned input of the distance comparator HXCOM as well as via a resistor R2 to the second input of the summing amplifier ADSUM. The output of the clamping circuit VCL is connected to the junction of the resistors R2 and R3.
This clamping circuit contains a voltage follow-up amplifier VF, diodes D1 and D2 and positive and negative voltage sources, which are shown as batteries VS- 'and VS. The input of the clamping circuit VCL is connected to the tachometer generator 17 via a resistor R8 and the line VTACH.
The output of the summing amplifier ADSUM is connected to one of the inputs of comparison circuits 1COM, 2COM and TCOM for the stops. The other input of each of these comparison circuits leads to the rotor of a corresponding potentiometer 1RE3, 2RE3 or TRE3 for the stop positions. The resistance element of each of these potentiometers has one end connected to ground and the other end connected to a positive voltage line E5 +.
Each of these stop comparison circuits has its own switching delay so that the stop scanning signals output on output lines 1C, 2C or TC a certain time after receipt of the input signals supplied to the two inputs are given a specific ratio to one another.
The output shaft of the second transmission GB2 is coupled to the rotors BRA and BRB contained in a second control device 2 by second rotary potentiometers PA and PB for the car positions, which are, however, designed for only one rotation.
The end terminals of the resistance elements of these second potentiometers PA, PB are connected to lines E3 + and E3 -, so that their resistance elements are connected in a bridge circuit with the resistance elements of second comparison potentiometers 1RE2, 2RE2 and TRE2, whose end terminals are also connected to lines E3 + and E3- are connected.
Contacts 1K2, 2K2 and TK2 of the aforementioned selector relays 1K, 2K and TK connect the rotors of the second comparison potentiometers 1RE2, 2RE2 and TRE2 to earth potential. The rotors BRA and BRB of the second rotary potentiometers PA, PB are connected to the input of a function generator LSFG for low car speed via contacts KAB1 and KAB2.
The output of this function generator is connected to a further input of the motor control 15 via contacts LSE2 and the line LSF.
The winding of each of the stop selector relays 1K, 2K and TK is connected to one logic circuit each via an associated relay circuit RDlK, RD2K and RDTK as shown in FIG. Each of these logic circuits contains six N-AND elements AN1 to AN6, i.e. AND elements with negated outputs, which, as usual, is represented by small circles in the output lines.
The logic circuits according to FIG. 3 similarly contain N-AND elements. Each of the individual N-AND elements LAND9 and TAND9 assigned to the stops in the winding circuit of the selector relay KAB of the second potentiometer for the car positions contains an assigned manually operable changeover switch IAB, 2AB and TAB in one of its input lines. The moving contact of each of these switches is permanently on one of its fixed contacts A or B.
The contact A is always selected when, when stopping the car 10 in a stop, the runner BRA (Fig.l) of the car position potentiometer PA is closer to the center of the resistance element of this potentiometer than the runner BRB at its potentiometer PB and vice versa.
One of the three inputs of a comparison circuit LSECOM for low speed is connected to the function generator HSFG for high speed (Fig. 1) via a line kISF. Another of these inputs is connected to a positive voltage lead E6 + via contacts XD2 of the auxiliary relay XD for the downward direction of travel and the third of these inputs is connected to a negative voltage lead E6- via contacts XU2 of the auxiliary relay XU for the upward direction of travel.
The comparison circuit LSECOM for low speed supplies via a relay drive circuit RDLSE an output signal for energizing the winding of a switch LSE for low speed, always as soon as the signal voltage in the line HSF is less than the voltage of the lines E6 + or E6 -, where the first is for moving up and the second is for moving down.
Before the function of the system is explained in detail, it should be emphasized again that the first potentiometer P1 for the car positions is a rotary potentiometer for several revolutions and that the transmission ratio of the first gear GB1 is selected such that with a full lift of the car the rotor BR1 passes from one end terminal of the resistance element of the potentiometer PI to the other end terminal.
The resistance value of the potentiometer P1 picked up by the rotor BR1 accordingly indicates the respective position of the car 10. Since the voltage maintained between line E2 + and ground is applied to the resistance element of potentiometer P1, the position of the car at any of the stops is distinguished from its position in each of the other stops by a different specific value of the voltage on the rotor BR1.
The contacts 1K1, 2K1 and TKl (FIG. 1) of the stopping point selector relays 1K, 2K and TK connect the rotors of their assigned first comparison potentiometers 1RE1, 2RE1 and TREl to earth potential. In each of these comparison potentiometers, the runner is mechanically fixed in a certain position, namely at a resistance value which has the same ratio to the total resistance of the resistance element as the height of the relevant floor to the total lift of the car.
The resistance value of each first comparison potentiometer determined by the position of its runner is proportional to the resistance value of the first potentiometer P1 which designates that stop and is assigned to the relevant comparison potentiometer. The proportionality factor is determined by the ratio of the total resistance of the resistance element of the first comparison potentiometer to the total resistance of the resistance element of the first potentiometer P1.
The bridge circuit formed by these potentiometers is thus always balanced when the car 10 is stopped on a floor. In the same way, the runners of the potentiometers 1RE3, 2RE3 and TRE3 for the stop positions are mechanically fixed in positions whose resistance values are proportional to the resistance values of the first potentiometer P1 which are assigned to the corresponding stop positions.
In the embodiment described, the second potentiometer PA, PB for the cabin positions are Drehpo tentiometers for a single revolution, the rotor of which can be rotated continuously in each direction into the zero position. The gear ratios of the gears GB1 and GB2 are chosen so that the rotor of each of these potentiometers executes one rotation when the car lifts 2.4 m.
With a full turn, each of the rotors BRA and BRB moves progressively from the end terminal, which corresponds to the zero ohm position on the resistance element of the associated potentiometer, to the end position, which corresponds to the maximum resistance value and from there through an ineffective area back to the first-named end terminal . However, the potentiometers are arranged in such a way that their runners begin the movement through the inactive areas of their potentiometers offset by 180. Thus, while one of the runners is moving through its inactive area, the other is moving through its active area.
At a certain stop, the potentiometer whose runner is closest to the middle position of its resistance element is always used, or in other words, whose runner is furthest away from the ineffective part of the potentiometer when the car is brought to a stop at the relevant stop. In this way, it is ensured that at each stop in which the car is brought to a stop, a sufficiently large area of the resistance element of the selected potentiometer is available on both sides of the rotor.
For each of the second comparison potentiometers 1RE2, 2RE2 or TRE2, a resistance value is determined by mechanical fixation of its runner according to the stop assigned to it, which is proportional to the resistance value determined for the relevant stop by the runner when the car is stopped at the corresponding stop de stop is selected second potentiometer PA or PB. As a result, the bridge circuit formed from these potentiometers is balanced each time the car is stopped at a stop.
In other words, the runner of a certain second comparison potentiometer is set at a resistance value which is in the same ratio to the total resistance of this comparison potentiometer as that when the car is stopped in the stop assigned to the relevant second comparison potentiometer such as the resistance value tapped by the runner at this stop correspondingly selected second potentiometer PA or PB for car positions for the total resistance of this second potentiometer.
It is now assumed that the car 10 is in a stop L1 and receives a signal to travel upwards. The upward travel of the car is prepared by actuating an auxiliary relay XU for the upward direction of travel, the winding of which is not shown, due to a call signal from a Haltestel le that is above the position of the car.
In this system, a travel signal is generated by closing the contacts of a start switch S, the winding of which is not shown, as a result of the actuation of either the auxiliary relay XU for the upward direction of travel or the XD auxiliary relay for the downward direction of travel with a simultaneous dropout of a timing relay NT ( whose winding is not shown). Closing the contacts of the start switch S has the consequence that the engine controller 15 emits a logic L signal into the line SS.
The AND element AND 4 with its associated inverter (FIG. 3) changes its output signal to L in response to this signal. The holding relay KH closes its contacts KHl, KH3 and KH8 from this. By closing the first two pairs of contacts, an input of the summing amplifier ADSUM receives via the rotor BR1,
the contacts KH3 and the resistor R1 are supplied with positive voltage, the size of which corresponds to the actual position of the car 10.
At the same time, the contacts XUI (Fig. 1) are closed and the contacts XU2 (Fig. 3) and XU3 (Fig. 1) are opened by actuating the auxiliary relay XU for upward travel. The closing of the contacts XUl has the consequence that the capacitor QA was connected to the resistance R6 and the previously closed contacts KH8 with the negative voltage line El and begins to charge.
As a result, an increasing negative voltage is fed through the resistors R3 and R2 to the other input of the summing amplifier ADSUM. However, the voltage can only increase to a certain value, since the diode Dl, the voltage source VS and the follow-up amplifier VF of the clamping circuit VCL do not allow the voltage to increase above this certain value.
Initially, however, the voltage limit value is sufficiently high to allow the voltage on capacitor QA to exceed the magnitude of the voltage fed through line E4- to the distance comparator HXCOM via contacts XD3.
If this voltage value is exceeded, the comparison device HXCOM sends a signal via the line HX to the motor controller 15, where the brake 13 lifts the motor and a voltage regulated with regard to the speed is fed to the motor 14, so that the latter drives the cable drum 16 sets in motion.
When the car begins to move, the tachometer generator 17 supplies a voltage proportional to the speed of the car on the line VTACH. This voltage is fed via the resistor R8 to the clamping circuit VCL, which increases the absolute level of the voltage limit value determined by the diode Dl, the voltage source VS and the follow-up amplifier VF, depending on the speed of the car.
In the embodiment described, the approximation circuit AC and the clamping circuit VCL were designed in such a way that an increasing negative voltage, the maximum size of which corresponds to a car lifting distance of 4.5 m, is supplied to the summing amplifier ADSUM before the car even has one has traveled a substantial distance and reached a substantial speed.
The initial voltage limit value, which is determined by the clamping circuit VCL, is large enough to allow the capacitor QA to be charged to a voltage whose size corresponds to the aforementioned 4.5 meters without the line V- :. , H voltage leads. This is necessary in order to be able to indicate the position of the car with light signals on the other floors sufficiently early.
Apart from this shift by 4.5 m, the voltage delivered to the line VTAcu by the tachometer generator 17 has the effect that the clamping circuit VCL regulates the negative output voltage of the capacitor QA in such a way that it is essentially proportional to the actual speed of the car 10.
By means of a suitable reduction, this voltage is made sufficiently proportional to the path length which is required to bring the car to a standstill in a given manner from the speed at which it is moving. As a result of the algebraic summation, the Sununier amplifier ADSUM supplies a variable output voltage, the size of which shows those points of the car with sufficient accuracy, the distance of which, depending on the speed of the car, is not greater than the distance required to stop.
This output voltage is compared with the output voltages of the rotors of the position potentiometers 1RE3, 2RE3 and TRE3 by the comparison circuits 1COM, 2COM and TCOM. In this way, each of the stops is abgeta steadily when the car is in a position that is substantially no further in the direction of travel than the distance required to stop the car at the speed at which the car is moving.
The initial increase in the negative voltage of the capacitor QA has the consequence that the output voltage of the summing amplifier ADSUM decreases to a value which is within a certain range of the size of the voltage that the second comparison circuit 2COM from the rotor of the position potentiometer 2RE3 is supplied for the second stop.
As a result, after the self-delay of the comparison circuit 2COM, the line 2C carries a scanning signal in the form of a logic L, which is used to indicate that the car is in front of the second stop. If at that moment a stop had been requested in front of the second stop, the L signal on line 2C would interact with a Haltsi gnal in order to cause the motor controller 15 to generate a signal which means that the second stop for the next stop should be selected. Assume, however, that there is no such request and that the car continues its upward journey.
As a result, their speed increases to full nominal value. When this speed is reached, the output signal of the tachometer generator 17 delivered in the line VT 1, CH causes the approach circuit AC to generate an output voltage which corresponds to the stopping distance for full speed. The voter now scans the stops, which are located at a distance of the full stopping distance in front of the position of the car.
1 =, s it is now assumed that the car has reached a position in which the sampling output voltage of the summing amplifier ADSUM falls to a value that is within a certain effective range of the voltage supplied to the upper comparison circuit TCOM by the rotor of the position potentiometer TRE3.
As a result, after the delay time of the comparison circuit has elapsed, an L signal is generated in the line. It is also assumed that a signal has been generated in the motor controller 15, by means of which a stop is requested on the top floor. Such a signal is generated on the basis of a call signal from the top floor or a signal from the car. The simultaneous occurrence of such a call signal and the L scanning signal in the line TC means that the top floor is selected as the floor at which the next stop is to be carried out.
The motor controller 15 then actuates the start switch S, opening its previously closed contacts, and causes the line SS (Fig. 3) to carry O signals. The output signal of the AND element AND4 and its inverter is then changed to L, whereby the winding of the holding relay KH is excited by the drive circuit RDKH.
This opens the contacts KH1, KH3 and KH6 and closes the contacts KH2.
By opening the contacts KHl and KI-I3 (Fig. 1) the supply of the output signal of the rotor BRl of the first potentiometer P1 to the summing amplifier ADSUM is interrupted. Despite the resulting interruption of one of the inputs of the comparison circuit TCOM, the L signal in the line TC is maintained until the delay time of the comparison circuit has expired.
As a result of the opening of the contacts KH6 (Fig. 3), the line KHL (Fig. 3) carries an L signal. At the same time, the lines SE and TC are fed to the AND element TAN1 L signal assigned to the top floor (FIG. 2). As a result, an L signal is fed to the AND element TAN4 for the upper floor through the TAP line.
This signal, together with the L signal fed to the circuit TAN4 through the line KHL, has the effect that the element TAN4 and its inverter emit an O signal. This causes the signal in the line TKAP to be changed to 0 and the selector switch TK is excited by the AND element TAN6 and the relay drive circuit RDTK, whereby the upper floor is selected for the execution of the next stop.
When the relay TK is actuated, the contacts TK1 close, whereby the resistance element of the potentiometer P1 is connected in a bridge circuit between the lines E2 + and E2-, together with the resistance element of the first comparison potentiometer TRE1 for the top floor.
The top floor is designated by the earth potential at the rotor of the potentiometer TRE1 and the voltage at the rotor BR1 of the potentiometer P1 indicates the position of the cabin. The output voltage at the rotor BR1 is accordingly proportional to the distance between the car 10 and the top floor. This voltage is fed to the function generator HSFG for high speed through contacts KH2, which creates a signal which is fed to the motor control 15 via the contacts LSE1.
After a stop signal has been formed, the motor controller 15 delays the movement of the car, the delay being a function of the car distance from the top floor.
The output signal of the function generator HSFG for high speed is simultaneously fed to the comparator LSECOM for low speed via the HSF line. If this signal voltage falls below the voltage value of the line E6 +, which means that the car 10 is within a given distance from the top floor, the relay LSE for low speed is excited via the contacts KH7 and the relay drive circuit RDLSE, so that contacts LSE1 are opened and contacts LSE2 are closed.
As a result, the function generator for high speed is separated from the motor control 15 and the function generator LSFG for low speed is connected to the latter.
In the meantime, the L signal in line TKAP, together with the signal from line Vl + supplied via resistor TR11, causes AND element TAND9 on the top floor and its inverter to output a signal O. This O signal actuates the relay KAB by the relay drive circuit RDKAB.
The contacts KAB1 close and connect the resistance element of the second potentiometer PA for the cabin positions in a bridge circuit with the resistance element of the second comparison potentiometer TRE2 for the top floor connected between the lines E3- @ and <B> E3- </B> .
In the embodiment described, the bridge circuit, which is formed by the second potentiometers PA and PB for the car positions and the second comparison potentiometers 1RE2, 2RE2 and TRE2, is effective when the car is within a range that is approximately 0.6 m below to 0.6 m above the selected floor at which a stop is to be made.
Within this given distance, the ground potential on the rotor of the second comparison potentiometer assigned to this floor determines the stop, while the voltage on the rotor of the selected second position potentiometer relative to ground determines the position of the car.
In the present case, if the top floor was selected, the bridge circuit containing the second potentiometer PA and the second comparison potentiometer TRE2 supplies an output voltage at the rotor BRA, which is a function of the distance between the car and the top floor at any position of the car within a distance of approximately 0.6 m from this stop.
This voltage is fed to the function generator LSE2 for low speed via the contacts KABl, which then forms a signal and feeds this via the contacts LSE2 through the line LSF to the motor control 15, whereby the approach of the car and its stopping with sufficient accuracy in the top Floor can be effected.
From the above description of an example it follows that the control system for elevators not only scans stops before the approach of the car in order to select the relevant one at which the next stop is to be carried out, but also generates control signals for the motor control, which a delay of the Allow car depending on its distance from the selected stop, which ensures that the car is brought to a stop precisely at the relevant stop.
The control system described is also mechanically simple. Once it has been set to the current floor distance, it works with the runners of all potentiometer circuits, but the runners of three of these potentiometer circuits are fixed. In addition to the necessary bearings, the mechanical parts that move during operation contain only one chain wheel, which is driven by a belt that is arranged between the cabin and its counterweight, two reduction gears and three potentiometers.
The control system is also able to perform additional functions desired in such selector circuits. E.g. Proximity signals for the signal lamps in the floors and in the car are obtained if e.g. the output signals of the comparison circuits 1COM, 2COM and TCOM on the lines 1C, 2C and TC are fed to the selector relays 1K, 2K and TK. Signals indicating the distance of the car from a selected stopping point can be obtained by using a comparator which is similar to the comparator LSECOM for low speed.
Signals that indicate scanned stops in front of the position of the car in the direction of travel are also available. These can be obtained by using comparison devices which are similar to the distance comparison device HXCOM. The output signals in the lines ADL and ADL in FIG. 3 are further signals desired in control systems of this type. The first of them indicates that a stop has been chosen and that the logic circuits have kept that choice. The second signal is an inverted signal of the first.
Further functions, which the control system described is capable, will be apparent to those skilled in the art.
