Process for producing a frame profile intended in particular for windows and doors There are known processes for producing a frame profile intended for windows or doors, consisting of two parallel, mutually spaced apart metal profile rods which are held together by means of a heat-insulating intermediate layer, which with the rods by at least one engaging, z.
B. dovetail-like groove of one part and a correspondingly shaped and protruding bar of the other part that engages in this are firmly connected to one another.
The known methods of this type are based on two or more profile rods which are connected to one or more thermal insulation intermediate layers, with all of the named components having to be specially manufactured. Therefore, special tool sets, machines and storage locations for spare parts are required for each unit. The assembly of the various parts to the finished frame profile is also associated with particular effort and usually has to be carried out in several work steps.
The present invention overcomes these disadvantages and relates to a method for producing a frame profile of the type mentioned, which is characterized in that the upwardly open channel of one of the two in the said mutual Ab was located metal profiles and one of these rigid on the lower side connecting bridging bridging bridge existing basic profile is filled with a powdery to liquid material that can be hardened to form a heat-insulating intermediate layer and, after the material has hardened, the bridging bridge
Will get removed.
The method according to the invention has the advantage that only one basic profile is required which already has the two metal profile tubes at a predetermined distance and in a predetermined position and the heat-insulating intermediate layer can be used in the simplest way without any adaptation of the mentioned distance and position. To carry out the method, three steps are sufficient, namely: production of the basic profile, expediently by extrusion, filling and subsequent curing of the material for the heat-insulating intermediate layer and removal of the bridging web of the basic profile.
The hardening of the filled thermal insulation material can, depending on the nature of this material, in the usual manner, for. B. by solidification, by adding a hardener, by polymerization or con densation of a monomeric synthetic resin, if necessary under heat irradiation.
The bridging bar can be removed in a simple manner by mechanical separation without damaging the intermediate layer.
The method according to the invention is explained in more detail below, for example with reference to the drawing, which has two embodiments of the frame profile.
1 and 2 show the basic profile of he most embodiment in cross section before or after filling the intermediate layer.
Fig. 3 shows the same representation of the finished frame profile after insertion in a window.
Fig. 4 shows the basic profile of the second embodiment in cross section. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, a basic profile 1 is provided, which consists of a one-piece metal profile. It has a web 4 and two angled profiles 2 and 3 branching off from it, the legs of which open into the web 4 and run transversely to the latter laterally delimit a channel 7, the bottom of which is formed by the web 4.
The other two, facing, ver running legs are each provided with an anchoring strip 8 projecting in the direction of the web 4 at the free end. Opposite these strips, an anchoring strip 8 projecting into the channel 7 is also provided on the web 4. The web part located between the two strips 8 located on the web 4 is denoted by 6. On the leg of the angle profile 3 seated on the web 4 there is also a flange 5 which runs transversely to the web 4.
To produce the frame profile, the channel 7, which is open at the top between the two anchoring strips 8 in question, is now filled with a powdery to liquid substance 10 (FIG. 2). This is hardenable and heat-insulating in the hardened state.
After curing, the part 6 of the web 4 is removed mechanically, whereby the basic profile 1 is divided into two parallel metal profile bars un, which are held together by means of the heat-insulating intermediate layer 10. This inter mediate position engages, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, seamlessly in the grooves engaging behind which are formed by the anchoring strips 8 and the legs of the angle profiles 2 and 3 together with the relevant parts of the web 4.
The embodiment according to FIG. 4 differs from the previous one in principle only in that, instead of the two angle profiles 2 and 3, two legs 2 'and 3' branching off at right angles from the web 4 are provided, which on the mutually facing sides with each a cross-section dovetail-shaped longitudinal bar 9 are seen ver. These therefore protrude into the channel and anchor the intermediate layer 10.
