      Dispositif    permettant le retour immédiat par l'action du volant  de l'organe de commande de l'indicateur de direction d'un véhicule     automobile       Ce dispositif est prévu pour les anciennes voi  tures ne possédant pas le retour automatique. Ce  pendant, il peut aussi être utile à celles plus mo  dernes pourvues de l'indicateur automatique vers  le volant. En effet, il agit immédiatement après la       manoeuvre,    même si, au cours d'un dépassement, le  déplacement est insignifiant: par exemple, par  l'encombrement d'une bicyclette circulant à droite.

    D'autre part, après l'annonce d'une     manoeuvre,     l'automobiliste peut devoir s'arrêter longuement à  un stop, à un carrefour ou à un croisement régle  menté par un agent; dans ce cas, l'indicateur con  servera sa position tout le temps nécessaire.        Le    dispositif, selon l'invention, est caractérisé en  ce qu'il comporte une manette à deux branches  s'étendant de part et d'autre du volant et montée  librement autour de l'axe de celui-ci, l'une des  branches de la manette étant solidaire de l'organe  de commande de l'indicateur de direction, une  plaque montée basculante à l'extrémité de l'une  des branches de la manette et liée par deux ressorts  au tube de l'axe du volant ; une butée fixée au  volant de façon à pouvoir glisser sur la plaque bas  culante dans un sens de rotation du volant et à  accrocher cette plaque dans l'autre sens pour rame  ner l'organe de commande en position neutre.  



  Le dessin annexé     (fig.    1) représente à titre  d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in  vention. Ce dispositif comporte une manette (1) qui  se déplace autour du tube enveloppe soutenant le    volant; elle se compose de deux branches, l'une       reliée    à l'indicateur original (g). La manette (1)  est partagée verticalement en deux parties, de façon  à pouvoir les réunir facilement autour du tube par  le moyen de deux petites plaques. Le diamètre de  l'évidement ménagé dans la manette lui     permet    de  tourner     librement    autour du tube du volant. Ledit  diamètre pourra varier suivant les marques d'auto  mobiles.  



       (Fig.    2, coupe). Dans la branche de la manette  (1) du côté de     l'indicateur    original (g) sont percés  2 trous destinés au passage de deux vis. La première  vis (2) en partant du centre     relie    la manette (1) à  l'indicateur original et maintient une butée réglant  la position d'une plaque basculante (4) ; dans le  deuxième trou passe une vis (3) servant d'axe à la  plaque basculante (4). Cette plaque basculante  pivotée à l'extrémité de l'une des branches de la  manette est maintenue par deux ressorts (5 et 6)  fixés à la plaque basculante et à un collier (7) en  tourant le tube du volant, ledit     collier    sert de guide  à la     manette    et est serré     par    une bague.

   Une butée  (8) servant de poussoir est liée par deux bagues à  une     partie    du volant.    <I>Fonctionnement</I>    Si     l'automobiliste    tire la branche gauche de la  manette (1) à lui, la plaque basculante (4) pivote  à droite par suite de la tension du ressort (5), tan  dis que le     ressort    (6) se détend ; dans cette position  la butée (8) peut     paser    par-dessus la plaque bas  culante au moment de la     manoeuvre    pour se diriger  à gauche.

   Lors du rétablissement du volant en fin  de     manoeuvre,    la butée (8)     qui    se déplace en sens  contraire vient accrocher une échancrure de la      plaque basculante et ramène l'indicateur à sa posi  tion de repos. Si     l'automobiliste    veut aller à droite,  le fonctionnement est inversé. This device comprises a handle (1) which moves around the envelope tube supporting the steering wheel; it consists of two branches, one connected to the original indicator (g). The handle (1) is divided vertically into two parts, so that they can be easily assembled around the tube by means of two small plates. The diameter of the recess in the handle allows it to rotate freely around the steering wheel tube. Said diameter may vary depending on the brands of automobile.
