Description
Pivoting sliding door, especially for vehicles The wings of pivoting sliding doors are generally suspended on a running rail extending horizontally above the upper edge of the wing, which allows the wing to move parallel to its plane.
The second degree of freedom is made available to the wing by a hinge by means of which it is attached to a carriage that can be moved on the running rail. Such a door suspension is kinematically flawless, but has the disadvantage that, due to the restricted space available for the door leaf and the parts connected to it, especially when the door is open,
cannot be produced with the high rigidity that is required for vehicle doors. The invention seeks to remedy this.
Even in the case of the sliding door according to the invention, a mobile carriage on a running rail is provided which carries the door leaf. But .is the usual hinge between: Trolley and door leaf avoided. Instead, the running rail itself is movably supported transversely to the sliding direction of the wing, while the wing is rigidly connected to the carriage and the carriage can be pivoted on the running rail about an axis parallel to the sliding direction.
A pivoting sliding door constructed in this way can be built robustly and stiffly with little effort, even if there is only little space available for the leaves, the leaf suspension and the leaf guide.
A particularly simple and reliable execution can be obtained in that the running rails will see ver at their ends with crank arms, their. Crank pins are rotatable in fixed bearings. These bearings can be easily and securely attached to the vehicle wall without protruding significantly in the lateral direction. The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a schematic representation.
1 shows a perspective view of a pivoting sliding door, FIG. 2 shows an end view, seen in the direction of arrow II in FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows a section along line III-III in FIG. 1.
In Fig. 1 only the elements of the door are drawn, the door opening itself and the door frame: however, omitted. The upper edge 1 of the frame can be seen in FIG. 2 and the door opening 2 with the side door posts 3 can be seen in FIG. The door wing 5, which is provided on its longitudinal edges with sealing strips 4, is - seen in FIG. 3 - from the door opening 2 in the direction of the
Arrow a moved out in the transverse direction and moved longitudinally in the direction of arrow b so that it assumes the position shown in phantom in FIGS. 2 and 3 when the door is open. In general, the wing is guided in such a way that the two movements a and b coincide at least partially in time.
Above the door leaf 5 a running rail 6 designed as a round rod or round tube is arranged, which forms part of a crank with arms or cheeks 7 and pins 8. The pins 8 are rotatable in bearings 9 which are attached to the vehicle wall.
A carriage 11, which can rotate about the axis of the rail 6, can be moved on the running rail 6 with two pairs of rollers 10. This car is firmly connected to the door wing 5 by a wide, stiffened tab 12.
The pivoting bar of the running rail 6 in the bearings 9 and the rotatability of the carriage 11 on the rail 6 give the door leaf the two degrees of freedom indicated by the arrows a and b in FIG. 3 correspond.
So that the door leaf 5 executes its two movements in the correct order and, as is generally the case, partially superimposed, guide rails 13 are provided in which rollers 14 run, in front of which one is attached to an arm 15 and attached to the door leaf 5. the other is rotatably mounted on an arm 16 attached to the carriage 11.
