Process for the mechanical assembly of rolling bearings, especially radial ball bearings, and device for exercising the process Radial ball bearings, which are produced in very large quantities, are known in various designs, but the majority of these machine elements have two sheet metal cage halves in addition to an inner and outer ring are usually held together by a number of rivets and hold an equal number of balls in their pockets. Ball bearings with insertion grooves on the inner and outer ring for the introduction of the balls are no longer made today, since such bearings are unsuitable for absorbing axial loads.
The filling of the balls is now possible by moving the inner ring into an eccentric position to the outer ring. In this eccentric position of the inner ring, the introduction of the maximum number of balls is possible. After filling half the circumference of the bearing, a small deformation of the outer ring is sufficient to move the inner ring into a concentric position. Then the balls are evenly distributed over the entire circumference of the camp and the sheet metal cage halves are introduced from both sides. The rivets are inserted into the holes of the cage rings with tweezers and individually riveted using a riveting hammer.
A lot of individual and secondary operations require long throughput times and skillful operating personnel, who are difficult to find for such monotonous work today.
The present invention now relates to a process for the mechanical assembly of roller bearings, in particular radial ball bearings, according to which each receiving point has a plurality of receiving points with vertically movable rotary supports and with these at stations of Transfervorrichtun conditions sustaining indexing tables, at successively passing stations, first the outer ring then the inner ring is fed in an eccentric position to the outer ring, whereupon the balls are inserted and distributed,
then the centering of the inner ring and the insertion of the ring half of the cage carrying the rivets from one side and the second ring half from the other side is made, whereupon the simultaneous riveting in a rivet press and finally the control and removal of the finished ball bearing takes place.
The arrangement of the recording points of the switch table can be linear or circular.
In the device according to the invention, a rotatable indexing table is provided with receiving points arranged in a circle and axially displaceable rotary supports assigned to them, the indexing table at each receiving point being assigned organs for executing an assembly operation and partly transfer devices as stations on which assembly operations take place.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the device and axial sections through the receiving points of the indexing table are Darge, namely: Fig. 1 is a partial plan view of the device, Fig. 2 is a section of a receiving point at the first station, Fig. 3 is a section a receiving point at the second station, FIG. 4 a section of a receiving point at the third station, FIG. 5 a section of a receiving point at the fourth station, FIG. 6 a section of a receiving point at the fifth station,
7 shows a section of a pick-up point at the sixth station, and FIG. 8 shows a section of a pick-up point at the seventh station.
The device shown in FIG. 1 has a round indexing table 9 which is rotatable about an axis 10 and which has eight receiving points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 near its circumference, at regular intervals from one another. Each receiving point forms an annular seat arranged over a round opening 11 of the table 9 for receiving the ball bearing. Each receiving point 1-8 is assigned a rotary support 12, the axis 13 of which is rotatably and axially displaceably mounted in a bearing bush 14 of the indexing table 9. The rotary supports 12 are adjustable in two different working positions by 180 degrees and have, on the one hand, an elevated, annular seat 15 and, on the other hand, an elevated sickle-shaped support 16 and a leaf spring 17.
With the rotary supports working together switching elements, not shown in the drawing, wel che the rotary support depending on the operation to be performed in one or the other working position and the necessary to engage or disengage the guide members 15, 16, 17 at the receiving point 1-8 Axial displacement of the rotary support he testify. The indexing table 9 can be adjusted to eight different stations 1, II, 111, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII with each of its eight receiving points 1-8 and is driven step by step for this purpose.
At each station there is a device for executing an assembly operation or a transfer device for supplying or removing the workpiece or parts thereof.
At station I, a device for grasping and transporting away the finished ball bearing and a washing device 18 with washing petrol circulation are provided. The latter is indicated in Fig. 2, while the transfer device is not provided as a known device in the drawing is. The station II consists of a guide device 19 for the outer rings 20 of the ball bearing which opens out exactly above a receiving member 1-8.
At station III there is the feed device 21, which ausmün det eccentrically in the respective receiving point below and serves for the supply of the inner rings 22, which are set in an eccentric position to the outer ring 20 and taken over and held in this position by the leaf spring 17 will. At station IV there is a transfer device 23 for feeding the cage rings 24 provided with rivets. The latter are placed on the raised ring seat 15 of the rotary support 12 by the device mentioned. At station IV there is also the device 25 (Figure 5) for a lead of the balls.
Station V consists of an organ for centering the inner ring while distributing the balls at the same time. This organ consists of a stamp 26 acting as a vibrator (FIG. 6), which is provided with a ring of downwardly directed distributor fingers 26a with pointed ends lying on an inclined plane and also with a double nozzle 27 opening into the ball bearing space automatic movement and valve control as well as an electrical deposit control, not shown. The station I J consists of the feed device for the other cage halves 28, which are introduced from above according to FIG. 7.
This feeding device corresponds to that already described and is not shown in FIG. 1. At station VII there is a rivet press 29, 30, which according to FiQ. e has a press ram 29 and an anvil 30. Station VIII is provided with control devices which are not shown and are known per se. When entering the acceptance points 1-8 in stations V and I, switching elements act on the rotary supports 12, which rotate them by 180 degrees and then move them axially.
A turntable 31 with receiving points 32 is assigned to the transfer device 23. A transfer device 33 transfers cage rings 24 from a magazine 34 into a waiting location 32 of the turntable 31. The turntable 31 stops at six stations during one full revolution. The cage ring 24 received at the second station is loaded with rivets at the station 111, the cage ring being rotated step by step by a planetary switching device and a rivet being placed in each hole in the cage ring.
The planetary switching device and the rivet setting device 35 are known devices and are only partially shown in the drawing. At station IV there is a spot welding machine 36 with a short-term control device and a lower and upper electrode. With the exception of the rivets located under the welding press, the rivets are all loaded by a hold-down device, not shown. At station V there is an opportunity for control by control devices. At station VI be there is a transfer device 37, which passes the cage ring 24 while simultaneously turning an ultrasonic cleaner, not shown, from which it is taken over by the transfer device 23.
After the assembly process that can be carried out with the device described, the respective receiving point 1-8 is cleaned by the washing device 18 at the station I of the indexing table 9 after the finished ball bearing has been removed. At the same time, the rotary support is axially displaced so that the guide element 15 is withdrawn from the receiving point of the indexing table and then rotated 180 degrees according to arrow a. After a switching step of the table 9, the cleaned receiving point arrives in station II, in which it is charged with an outer ring (Fig. 3).
After a white direct switching step of the table 9, the receiving point with the outer ring 20 arrives at the station 11I. Here the inner ring 22 is fed in an eccentric position, FIG. 4, in which it is held in place by the leaf spring 17. After rotating the table by one switching step, the outer and inner ring reach station IV, where the balls are inserted into the sickle-shaped space between the outer and inner ring according to FIG. These lie against the raised sickle-shaped support 16 of the rotary support 12, which was previously axially displaced in a corresponding sense.
At the same time, the ring-shaped seat 15 of the outwardly projecting part of the rotary support 12 is loaded with a cage ring 24 carrying rivets. The indexing table is then turned by one indexing step so that the rings 20, 22 loaded with balls reach station V. When entering this, the support segment 16 is withdrawn from its adjacent position of the balls by appropriate axial displacement of the rotary support and at the same time the punch 26 (Fig. 6) with the distributor fingers 26a is lowered slowly and vibrating, and for a short time the double air nozzle in action set.
The distributor fingers center the inner ring 22 while distributing the balls at the same time. After the plunger 26 retreats, the rotary support is rotated 180 degrees in the direction of arrow b and axially displaced in the direction that the ring seat 15 loaded with the cage 24 passes through the recording is inserted through between the outer and inner ring of the ball bearing. The table now makes another switching step, which brings the workpiece to station VI.
This is where the second half of the cage is fed, which is placed precisely on the first half of the cage by the feed device used for this purpose, so that the rivets penetrate the holes in the second half of the cage. By further turning the table by one switching step, the workpiece arrives at station VII. The riveting press 29, 30 rivets all rivets at the same time. The control takes place at station VIII and the transport of the finished warehouse away at station I by the assigned transfer device.
The rotary support is then disengaged by axial displacement and rotated through 180 degrees in the direction of the arrow a and axially displaced such that the raised crescent-shaped support 16 engages in the receiving point 1. The machine works intermittently so that a finished ball bearing is released with each indexing step of the indexing table.
