EMI0002.0022
En outre, il faut avoir
EMI0002.0023
D,; = m" X N,; et D2=m5XN, et - D,; = % X N,;
et Dl =mu X N.1 d'où m5 (N., - N2) = mu (No - N.4) c'est-à-dire
EMI0002.0036
Gearbox We are brought in. certain rotary machines, and in particular in spinners, decanters, etc., to use concentric shafts, rotating at high speeds, the difference between these speeds being however relatively small compared to the speed of each of them.
The object of the present invention is to provide a gearbox making it possible to obtain these results and which, while having the qualities of robustness required by the mechanism to which it is applied, however, has only a reduced bulk and can then be integrated, thanks to its compact form; in the equipment it drives.
The gearbox which is the subject of the invention must also allow the adaptation of any torque limiting safety device, from the pin to the clutch, mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, centrifugal devices, etc. ., which may prove to be essential, in. applications, especially in. the case of centrifugal wringers where the bowl, on the one hand, and the scrapers, on the other hand, carried by the shafts which rotate at speeds not very different from each other, sometimes risk becoming blocked under the action of the substances to wring out.
The gearbox in accordance with the present invention comprises two pairs of cylindrical gears, it is characterized in that the intermediate gears are constituted by toothed rings internally enveloping the toothed wheels forming one unit with the two transmission shafts.
The assembly thus formed can be accommodated in. a cylindrical box whose diameter slightly exceeds that of the largest crown; the result is that said box has minimum bulk and can be accommodated easily, for example in the case of a centrifugal wringer, inside the bowl itself.
In addition, and in particular to improve the aesthetics of the assembly in a particular embodiment of the box, the outer casing is centered not on the axis of the crowns, but on the axis of the shafts. which, at the cost of a slight increase in diameter, will give an improved aspect of symmetry.
Finally, due to the very fact of the assembly, it is possible to ensure a long guiding of the output shafts, which obviously ensures better stability, - as well as better resistance to vibrations.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, a particular embodiment of the gearbox which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an explanatory diagram of the operation, and FIG. 2 shows, in longitudinal section, said embodiment of the gearbox corresponding to this diagram.
In fig. 1, 1 designates the axis of rotation of one of the shafts, for example the control shaft on which the control pinion is wedged 2. 3 designates the second hollow control shaft, rotating coaxially around the first , and which is driven by pinion 4.
5 and 6 denote toothed rings integral with one another, and carried by hollow journals rotating freely around the same axis 7, indicated in mixed dotted lines and parallel to the axis of shafts 1 and 3, in , bearings 8 and 9 mounted inside a box 10. In this box 10 are, by their own, journaled at 11 and 12 the shafts 1 and 3.
Crowns. 5 and 6 mesh internally: respectively the crown 5 with the toothed wheel 2, and the crown 6 with the toothed wheel 4. The system 2, 4, 6, 5 has, consequently, the effect of ensuring the dragging of the shaft 3 by the shaft 1 or vice versa, with a reduction which does not depend on the diameter or the number of teeth of these gears.
Here is how they will be chosen. characteristics of these pairs with internal external teeth. The pitch diameters will be designated hereafter by D, by N the number of teeth and by M the moduli, of the various gears in play.
Thus, D2, N2, m ., will denote the characteristics in question of the pinion, 2, D4, N4, m4, those of pinion 4, D5, N5, m5 those of crown 5, and D6, No and mG those, of crown 6.
The kinematic set is then governed by the formula
EMI0002.0022
In addition, one must have
EMI0002.0023
D ,; = m "X N ,; and D2 = m5XN, and - D ,; =% X N ,;
and Dl = mu X N.1 hence m5 (N., - N2) = mu (No - N.4) that is to say
EMI0002.0036
The speed of the annular shaft will then be
EMI0002.0038
Fig. 2 is an embodiment of a gearbox based on the system which has just been described. This gearbox is intended in particular for a centrifugal wringer with a vertical axis and where, consequently, the various shafts are vertical.
This box comprises the actual casing 10, intended to be mounted by means of a plate 13 on a base, not shown. Inside this box can rotate freely, thanks to ball bearings 14 and 15, a sleeve 16, carrying the internally toothed rings 5 and 6.
This sleeve is offset axially with respect to the axis of the box 10, so that the shafts 1 and 3 can be centered on the axis of the casing 10, which externally gives the whole an appearance of symmetry around this axis. Furthermore, in the box 10 is axially disposed the primary shaft 1, intended to be driven at its lower part by a belt pulley 17, itself controlled in a manner known per se by any suitable motor.
On this shaft is keyed a sleeve 18 which serves, on the one hand, to journal .l'shaft 1 in the box 10 by means of a ball bearing 19 and which carries, on the other hand, the gear pinion primary 2 which meshes with crown 5.
At its upper part, the shaft 1 is freely surrounded by a long sleeve 20, in fact constituting the output shaft 3, the upper end of which has a shape suitable for receiving the basket of the wringer for example, and which can rotate in the box 10 thanks to the bearings 21 and 22. This long sleeve carries, at its lower part, the pinion 4 meshing with the crown 6. A ball bearing 23 is interposed between the sleeve 20, forming one body with the shaft 3 and shaft 1.
This ensures the freedom of the various movements, as well as the drive of the two shafts by means of the kinematic chain described.
It is easy to see that the gearbox described can have a reduced diameter which allows it to be housed in the body of the device and that the various shafts have a very long guide.
It can also be seen that any torque limiting device can be easily mounted on the device between the two rotating shafts, this torque limiting device being able to be reduced to simple pins, such as that indicated for example. in 24.
