Device with a compressed air valve on pneumatic tube lines, for connecting two pipes with different air pressures
The task of pneumatic tube systems is to connect two travel tubes with each other in which different pressures prevail. For this purpose, devices with slides or flaps are used, which are actuated by a pneumatic tube sleeve moving from one tube to the other. With large pressure differences in the two tubes, however, the opening of the flaps causes difficulties when z. B. the flap is firmly pressed against the end part of a pipe due to the pressure difference. In order to enable the flaps to be opened, a valve is therefore provided which is opened when the flap is actuated and at least partially reduces the pressure difference.
The flap is connected to a lever which is actuated by the retracting sleeve so that the flap is already open before it is reached by the sleeve.
However, when the bushing is retracted and the flap is opened, these arrangements generate such strong pop-like noises that they cannot be accommodated in work rooms and usually have to be installed in special soundproof shafts. The stress on the material of the lever, flap and sleeve is particularly high. The heavy wear and tear requires extensive maintenance of the flaps and frequent replacement of the pneumatic tube carriers. In addition, the operational reliability is low and highly dependent on the weight and nature of the cans.
A heavy liner that seals well in the tube will be able to open the flap in any case, but after the liner has passed through the suction generated by the latter, the flap is pressed so strongly onto the sealing surface of the pipe end associated with the flap that a subsequent one A light or low-speed rifle is unable to open the flap, which disrupts the system and interrupts operation.
However, if a light or slow moving canister succeeds in opening the flap, it can happen that the flap does not seal sufficiently after closing. However, since a rifle passing through is to be braked in many cases by the negative pressure that it generates behind the flap, faults in operation can also be caused by poor braking.
The invention now aims to counter these disadvantages. It relates to a device with a compressed air valve on pneumatic tube systems for connecting two pipelines with different air pressures while reducing the pressure difference in the two pipelines. This device has levers for opening the two parts of the two-part flap, which rest on a gable-roof-shaped end of the connecting pipe associated with the flap when the flap is closed, and the invention is characterized in that the bearing surfaces at the end of the pipe for the flap parts with curves in a die The plane containing the pipe axis expire and that the valve parts in the closed position are extended beyond the cutting edge resulting from the two bearing surfaces at the end of the pipe and are designed to be elastic,
that the insides of these extensions touch each other in a sealing manner.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained below with reference to the same. The two-part Druclduftklappe of the device for connecting two pneumatic tube lines with different air pressures, while reducing the pressure difference, receiving housing is denoted by 1, the incoming tube with 2a and the outgoing tube with 2b. 3 is a pneumatic tube which enters the flap device from the tube 2a for its transfer into the tube 2b.
The end of the outgoing tube 2b, which protrudes into the housing 1 and which is assigned to the flap, is cut off in the shape of a gable roof and the bearing surfaces for the flap parts thus formed run into the plane of the tube axis with curves, so that they form a hollow ground cutting edge. When the flap is closed, the main components 4a and 4a are on the flat parts of these cut surfaces.
4b of the flap parts, while their secondary components 5a and 5b are in contact with the curves of the cut surfaces and with elastic extensions protruding beyond the mentioned cutting edge touch sealingly on the inside in the plane of the pipe axis. The main parts 4a and 4b are each attached to a lever part 6a and 6b made of steel strip. The lever parts 7a and 6b lie on the lever parts 6a and 6b.
7b, which act on one of the extensions 5a and 5b of the flap parts and also consist of steel band. The bands 6a and 7a on the one hand and 6b and 7b on the other hand are rotatably fastened in the bearings 8a and 8b, respectively.
When a pneumatic tube carrier 3 enters the flap housing 1 through the incoming pipe 2a, the lever parts 7a and 7b are first moved outward. These move the secondary flap parts 5a and 5b. from each other, so that the pressure difference in the two driving tubes can be equalized through the opening formed thereby between the parts 5a and 5b. As the sleeve 3 continues to move in the direction of the flap, the lever parts 6a and 6b, on which the main components 4a and 4b are located, are now also pivoted outwards via the lever parts 7a and 7b. Since the pressure difference between the two tubes is greatly weakened at this point in time, there is no difficulty in removing the main components 4a and 4b of the flap parts from the support surfaces.
After the bush 3 has penetrated the outgoing pipe 2b, the initial state is restored by the restoring force of the resilient levers 6a, 6b and 7a, 7b, the pressure difference in the pipes closed off from one another by the flap rises again and the higher pressure in pipe 2a and Housing 1 presses the flap components 4a, 4b and 5a, Sb so tightly onto the bearing surfaces of the pipe or onto one another that they seal well.
As a result of the leverage and the secondary flap components resting against curves and pressing against each other, only a small amount of force is required to separate the flap parts and thus initiate the pressure equalization in the two pipelines. After the pressure equalization has been initiated, the main flap components can also be easily removed. It is thus ensured that even light and slow moving rifles can open the flap. The opening noises are thus also many times lower, and since the flap components seal well when the flap is closed, the. the bushes passing through behind the flap are sufficiently braked.
