Compressed air flap for pneumatic tube systems
In pneumatic tube systems, the task is to connect two travel tubes with each other, in which there are different pressures. For example, a compressed air line opens into a pressureless line when a horizontal line merges into a vertical sloping line in which the bushing is guided downwards by gravity. In addition, a compressed air valve is required to close off a line.

flows out. Devices with slides or flaps are used for this, which are actuated by the pneumatic tube. However, when there are large differences in pressure in the two driving tubes, opening the flaps causes difficulties, since the flap is firmly pressed on by the pressure difference.
In order to enable the flaps to be opened, a valve is therefore provided which is opened when the flap is actuated and at least partially reduces the pressure difference. The flap is connected to a lever which is actuated by the retracting sleeve, so that the flap is already open before it is reached by the sleeve.
However, when the bushing is retracted and the flap is opened, these arrangements generate such strong pop-like noises that they cannot be accommodated in work rooms and usually have to be brought down in special soundproof shafts. The stress on the material of the lever, flap and sleeve is particularly high. The heavy wear and tear requires extensive maintenance of the flaps and frequent replacement of the pneumatic tube carriers.
In addition, the operational reliability is low and very dependent on the weight and condition of the cans. A heavy, well-sealing liner will be able to open the flap in any case, but after the liner has passed through, the suction it generates presses the flap back onto the sealing surfaces so strongly that a subsequent lighter or lower liner retracts the The flap cannot open, which disrupts the system and interrupts operation.
However, if a light or slow moving canister succeeds in opening the flaps, it may happen that the flap does not seal properly after closing. However, since a rifle passing through is to be braked in many cases by the negative pressure it is supposed to generate behind the flap, malfunctions in operation can also result from inadequate braking effect. be called.
The invention also relates to a compressed air folder for pneumatic tube systems, which connects two pipelines with different pressures. By means of an auxiliary device, the pressure difference in these pipelines is to be reduced to such an extent that the opening of the flap is made easier. For this purpose, the flap is provided in a known manner with levers which rest on an end of one of the tubes shaped like a gable roof when the flap is closed.
It should be noted in this connection that gable roof-like support surfaces for the air pressure flaps are also known. These flaps can be actuated in a simple manner by an entering tubular socket, in that the front parts of the socket grip the ends of the flap levers which are near their pivot point and slide along them when the socket moves, thus causing the flap to open . However, it is obvious that a relatively large force is required for this, in particular because there is a perfect pressure difference between the flaps, as a result of which the flap parts are pressed firmly onto the support surface.
The object described is achieved by the invention without the disadvantages of the known flaps mentioned. It consists in the fact that the bearing surfaces for the flaps run out into the pipe axis with curves, and that the flaps are thus extended over the cutting edge resulting from both bearing surfaces of the pipe and thus made elastic.

touch each other sealingly.
The adjacent surfaces of these flaps thus result in a seal between the two flap parts. To control the flaps there are two levers, each of which

one of the flaps lifts off the sealing surface, u. Between each of the levers consists of two parts, one of which with the main part of the flap is the part of the flap that rests on the flat part of the sealing surface - and the other the secondary part - that is the part that rests on the rounded part rests against the sealing surface, moved under the influence of a simple pneumatic tube. The secondary parts of the flaps thus run in the direction of the plane of the pipe axis and seal against each other.
They go continuously into the main part, so that there is undoubtedly a good seal of the outgoing driving tube.
The levers consist of two steel strips lying next to each other, one of which is directed inwards and the other outwards.
The inner steel band is used to actuate the secondary part of the flap and is arranged in such a way that it is actuated first by the incoming pneumatic tube carrier. The outer steel band is moved by the inner steel band after it has moved, so that the main part of the flap is only removed after the secondary parts have been opened. The
Levers are long in relation to the diameter of the pipe, and both parts are conveniently stored in one place.
It must also be ensured that the flaps are arranged in such a way that they are not touched by the pneumatic tube carrier passing through. The
The pneumatic tube sleeve therefore only slides on the
The inside of the inner lifting part and wear of the flaps from the tubular mail box passing through are avoided. Both secondary parts and main parts of the flaps are firmly connected to the corresponding parts of the levers.
The use of a two-part flap ensures that the compressed air valve works properly. Under certain circumstances, however, it is also possible to achieve perfect results with a one-piece flap, but only one

Can open flap. The opening noises are thus also many times less and, since the flap parts also seal well, the bushings passing through behind the flap are sufficiently slowed down.
An embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to the drawing. The housing accommodating the flaps carries the incoming travel tube J and the outgoing travel tube 2.3 is a tube entering the valve device
