Fig. 2) in Verbindung.
Method and device for controlling the straight course of strips or material webs guided over at least one tensioning roller
The invention relates to a method for controlling the straight course of belts or webs of material, e.g. B. belts guided endlessly over tensioning rollers or webs of material running up on or off supply rolls. In the case of such strips or tracks made of steel or other materials, it is essential that they always run in the middle of the rollers in order to prevent them from tilting.
The present invention aims to make this straight course of the belts or the webs z. B. to be controlled automatically via guide rollers or tension rollers through the belt or the web itself.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that a constant pressure generated by a gaseous or liquid medium acts on each of the two bearings of a tensioning roller adjustable in the axial direction and in the belt or web direction to tension the belt or the web and that the constant pressure a pressure controlled by the latter is counteracted automatically according to the respective position of the belt or the web, so that if the belt or the web is not straight, the axial direction of the tensioning roller is changed so that the web or the belt is always returned to the center of the tension pulley.
According to the invention, a suitable device for carrying out the method is characterized in that pistons which are in force-locking connection with both tensioning roller bearings divide two cylinders assigned to them into two spaces each, of which the cylinder spaces facing the tensioning roller are connected to a pressure bottle delivering constant pressure, while the two other cylinder spaces with the narrowest cross-section are connected to a nozzle connected to the circuit of a flowing medium, the flow rate in the nozzle of each cylinder being regulated by a hydraulic control device directly influenced by the belt or the web.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention for carrying out an exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is shown in a simplified schematic embodiment in FIGS. 1 and 2. Here, 1 denotes the tensioning roller of the belt 2 rotating via tensioning rollers, the two bearings of which are in a force-locking connection via piston rods 3, 4 with pistons 5, 6. This tensioning roller 1 is adjustable both on its axis and with the axis in the direction of the belt. The pistons slide in cylinders 7, 8 and, viewed from the center position shown, divide them into a front cylinder space 9 or 10 facing the tensioning roller and a cylinder space 11 or 12 facing away from the tensioning roller.
The spaces 9, 10 are connected via the pressure lines 13, 14 and the collecting line 15 to a pressure bottle 16 which has an air cushion over a hydraulic pressure medium. This pressure bottle maintains a constant liquid pressure on the piston sides facing the tensioning roller for tensioning the belt. The cylinder spaces 11 and 12 are connected via the short lines 17, 18 to the narrowest cross section of nozzles 19, 20 (see FIG. 2). These nozzles 19, 20 are connected to the circuit of a liquid which is kept in circulation by a motor pump 21. The liquid reaches the throttle devices via lines 22 and 23a, flows through them and then enters control apparatus 26 at two separate points at 24 and 25.
This control apparatus consists of a cylinder equipped with a double piston 27, the control edges 28 of the double piston being bevelled. These control edges cover the inlet openings into the cylinder at 24 and 25 to a greater or lesser extent depending on the position of the double piston. To regulate the cover, this control piston can be rotated in the cylinder so that it can be rotated with its inclined control edges in different positions relative to the control edges of the openings 24 and 25 of the cylinder.
For this purpose, the piston rod 29a passing through the cylinder end wall at one end is held by means of a wedge 35 in a sleeve 36 which is inserted rotatably in a recess in the cylinder end wall and can be rotated by means of a handle 37. The double piston is connected to a fork-like sensor 31 via the piston rod 29 protruding from the other cylinder end wall and a coupling 30, which grips down on both sides over the circumferential belt 2 so that, if the belt 2 does not run straight off or on, it is is shifted to one side or the other of the belt on the tensioning roller. Depending on the degree of displacement, the control openings 24 and 25 are then more or less covered by the double piston, so that the flow velocity in the lines 23 or 23a to the control cylinder is different.
In the line with the greater flow rate, such as B. 23a, a negative pressure is then generated in the nozzle 19 at the narrowest cross-section connected to the cylinder space 11, so that the pressure in space 11 is lower than in space 9, while in line 23 the flow velocity is practically zero and thus the full pressure in the space 12 on the piston 6 becomes effective.
The counterpressure difference in the spaces 11 and 12 then results in a slight adjustment of the tensioning roller with respect to its axial direction, which continues until the web 2 runs again in the center of the tensioning roller, i. H. has a straight course, and the sensor 31 has brought the double control piston 27 as a result in the central position. The liquid entering the control apparatus is passed on through line 32 into a storage container 33. Furthermore, a connection 34 is provided between the two chambers of the control cylinder between the control piston and the cylinder end walls, so that any liquid that has leaked can be compensated for in these cylinder chambers. Instead of being used for pressure fluids, the tensioning and straight guide elements could also be designed for a gaseous pressure medium.
