EMI0001.0004

where R is a benzene nucleus which carries a cyclohexyl radical at least in the o-position to the = 0 bridge and can optionally be further substituted, and X is hydrogen, alkyl, halogen or nitro,
with l.-Aeylamino-8-oxynaphthalin-mono- or disulfonic acids.
The abovementioned aromatic amines can be obtained by reacting o-nitrochlorobenzene or its substitution products such as 2,4-dichloronitrobenzene, 2-nitro-3-ehlortoluene, 2,4-dichloro-5-nitrotoluene, 4-chloro-3-nitrotoluene , 2-nitro-1,4-dichlorobenzene, 3-nitro-7,2-diehlorbenzene with the alkali salts of cyclohexylphenols in the melt at he elevated temperatures, e.g.
B. 120-160, and subsequent reduction of the nitro group. The cyclohexyl phenols used, such as o-cyclohexylphenol, 2,4-dicyclohexylphenol or mixtures thereof, are easily accessible compounds that are obtained on an industrial scale by reacting phenol with chlorocyclohexane. The diazotization of the aminodiaryl ethers with 2-cyclohexyl radicals is expediently carried out in solvents such as formic acid, formamide or alcohol.
The N-acyl derivatives of 1-amino-8-oxynaphthalene mono- and disulfonic acids, eg. B. 1-Amino-8-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid, 1-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-4 , 6-disulfonic acid.
The aromatic series are used as alkyl radicals, such as benzoyl and substituted benzoyl radicals, benzenesulfoyl and substituted benzosulfoyl radicals, naphthalene sulfoyl radicals, but aliphatic acyl radicals can also give valuable results, such as the acetyl radical,
the trichloroacrylic acid residue as well as higher fatty acid residues and acetic acid residues with further substituents.
The dyes obtained according to the invention dye animal fibers and those fibers which show similar behavior in terms of dyeing in clear, red to blue-red shades with very good wet fastness properties and good general fastness properties; In addition, some of them have excellent drawability from a neutral bath.
In the following examples, parts by weight are due. Divide by volume in the ratio of grams to cubic centimeters. Example 2 7.8 parts by weight of 2-amino-2'-cyclohexyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether are boiled with 7.0 parts by volume of 30% hydrochloric acid and 25 parts by volume of water and stirred well the hydrochloride of this aminodiphenyl ether brought into fine distribution.
Then enough ice is added that the temperature falls to 0-5 and a 20% solution of 2.2 parts by weight of sodium nitrite is added dropwise. After everything has dissolved, stirring is continued for some time and the excess of nitrous acid is destroyed with amidosulfonic acid.
The solution of the diazo compound is added dropwise to a solution of 13.5 parts by weight of 1-benzoylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid in 100 parts by volume of 15% sodium carbonate solution and 200 parts by volume of ice water and added for a few hours Stirred at room temperature. The coupling mixture is then heated to 70-80, the dye deposited by adding sodium chloride, filtered and dried.
A red powder is obtained which dissolves in water with a clear blue-red color and dyes wool from a neutral or formic acid bath in clear blue-tinged red shades of good fastness properties. If the coupling component is 1- (2 ', 5'-dichlorobenzoylamino) -8-oxynaphthalene-4, 6-disulfonic acid, 7 .- (2', 4'-dichlorobenzoylamino) -8-oxynaphthalene-4, 6-disulfonic acid, 1 -Benzoylamino-8-oxynapthalene-4,6-disulfonic acid, 1- (diphenylmethane-a-carboylamino)
-8-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid or 1- (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenoxyacetylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-3, 6-disulfonic acid, then one obtains dyes, the wool in less bluish bluish clear shades of red If 1-benzoylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid is used as the coupling component, a dye is obtained which dyes wool in clear bordeaux shades in a neutral bath.

can be obtained in the following way: 200 g of o-nitrochlorobenzene are introduced into a melt of 280 g of o-cyclohexylphenol and a concentrated aqueous solution of 90 g of caustic alkali and stirred for 8 hours at 135-140.
The melt is stirred with water and, after the water has been decanted off, distilled in vacuo: b.p. 190 to 211 / 0.4 mm. Yield 80-8511 / o d. Th. The 2-nitro-2'-cyclohexyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether thus obtained is hydrogenated in an alcoholic solution with a Raney catalyst and the amine is distilled: bp 168-188 / 0.2 mm. Almost quantitative yield.
The nitrodiphenyl ether can be hydrogenated with the same result without prior cleaning.
- Example 2 7.8 parts by weight of 2-amino-2'-cyclohexyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether are diazotized as in Example 1 and the diazo solution obtained is converted into a solution of 16.5 parts by weight of 1- ( 2 ', 5'-dimethyl- 4'-chlorobenzenesulfoylamino) - 8 - oxynaphthalene-3,
6-disulfonic acid in 100 parts by volume of 15% soda solution and 200 parts by volume of ice water was added dropwise. After several hours of stirring, the mixture is heated to 70-80, the dye is salted out with sodium chloride, filtered and dried. A red powder is obtained which dyes wool from a neutral or weakly acidic bath in clear bluish red shades with good fastness properties.
Dyes with similar properties are obtained when 1- (4'-methylbenzolsulfovjamino) -8-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid is used as the coupling component.
Example 3 8.8 parts by weight of 2-amino-5-chloro-2'-cyclohexyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether are dissolved in 70 parts by volume of formamide with 10 parts by volume of 30% hydrochloric acid and at 0-5 a 20% aqueous solution of 2.2 parts by weight sodium nitrite was added dropwise,
after half an hour of stirring, excess nitrous acid is destroyed with sulfamic acid and the solution of the diazo compound to a solution of 16.0 parts by weight of 1- (2 ', 5'-dichlorobenzoylamino) -8-oxynaphthalene-4,6-disulfonic acid in 100 parts by volume of 15 o / o strength soda solution and 300 parts by volume of ice water a drop.
After several hours of stirring, the mixture is heated to 70-80, the dye is deposited by adding sodium chloride, filtered and dried. A red powder is obtained which dyes wool from a neutral or weakly acidic bath in clear, red shades of good fastness properties. If you use 1- (2 ', 5'-dimethyl-4'-chlorobenzene - sulfoylamino) - 8 - oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid as coupling component, a dye is obtained that dyes wool in clear bluish red tones .

can be obtained by reacting 2,4-dichloronitrobenzene with a melt of molar amounts of caustic alkali in o-cyclohexylphenol at 120 and catalytic reduction of the nitro group, bp 205-210 / 0.6 mm.
Example 4 10.1 parts by weight of 2-amino-2 ', 4'-dicyclohexyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether are dissolved in 20 parts by weight of formic acid under heating and after cooling to 0-5 2.0 parts by weight of monohydrate were added dropwise and then a solution of 2.2 parts by weight of sodium nitrite in 4 parts by weight of water.
After half an hour of stirring, the excess nitrous acid is destroyed by introducing some solid sulfamic acid, the mixture is diluted with 50 parts by volume of formamide and this solution is converted into a solution of 13.5 parts by weight of 1-benzoylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-3,6- disulfonic acid in 50 parts by volume. 25 o / o ammonia solution,
200 parts by volume of ice water and 200 parts by volume of methanol were added dropwise. When coupling is complete, the temperature is raised to 60-70 and the dye is separated out by adding saturated sodium chloride solution, filtered and dried. It forms a red powder that dyes wool from a neutral or weakly acidic bath in clear blue-tinged red shades with very good wet fastness properties and good general fastness properties.
In particular, the dye has very good drawability from a neutral bath, i.e. H. the dyeings that can be obtained from neutral and formic acid baths have exactly the same depth of color and the bath that is exhausted under neutral conditions hardly tints wool under acidic conditions, more! on.
Dyes with similar properties are obtained when using 1-benzoylamino-8-oxynapli- thalin-4,6-disulfonic acid or 1- (4'-methylbenzenesulfoylamino) -8-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid as the coupling component or a mixture of 2-amino-2 ', 4'-dicyclohexyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether and 2-amino-2'-cyclo- j, hex- # r1-1,1-diphenyl ether as Diazotierkompo annoyed.

can be obtained in the following way: From the technical distillation residues of the monocyclohexylphenols, a fraction of boiling point 190-200 j0.2 mm is obtained as a viscous colorless oil by distillation in about 30-40 quantities, which is almost pure 2.4- Represents dicyclohexylphenol.
150 g of dicyclohexylphenol are melted homogeneously with 35 g of caustic alkali, 105 g of o-nitrochlorobenzene are added and the mixture is stirred at 150-160 for 8 hours. To remove potassium chloride, the melt is stirred with water, separated from the aqueous phase and hydrogenated using a Raney catalyst.
Distillation gives a product with a b.p. 204-208 0.1 mm in a 60-70% yield, a pale yellowish, viscous oil. However, you can also use a starting product with a larger boiling range and accordingly higher content of monocyclohexylphenol and get a bosom mixture with a larger boiling range, but which allows the production of dyes with very similar properties.
