Electric shaver with two different and opposite cutting heads. Different kinds of electric razors are known having different cutting heads, some of which are. intended to remove the bulk of the beard, and the others to shave closely. To perform these two operations, it is necessary to have either two devices or a single device with interchangeable heads, a single combined head for these two types of operations not being able to give such good results.
The present invention makes it possible to avoid the bulkiness required by the use of two razors or of two separate heads; its object is an electric razor having two different and opposite cutting heads.
The appended drawing, given by way of example, represents, in a schematic manner, an embodiment of the razor which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 7 is a longitudinal section of a razor, this section being taken along the line I-I of FIG. ?.
The fi-. ? shows an exterior view, turned 90 relative to FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 shows a section of the body, this section being made according to the line III-III of FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 is an end view of one of the cutting heads of this razor, the lower half represents the grid and the upper half a branch of the knife mounted on a spring.
The f ig. 5 is a view showing. the moving parts of the other cutting head. The fi; -. 6 is a partial vertical section taken along the line VI-VI of FIG. 7; it shows the wheel of a nail filing device.
The end. 7 is a plan view, partially in section, of the "wire. 6.
The apparatus shown in these figures com carries a body 1 in the form of a cylindrical handle, made for example of synthetic material; in the bore of this body is housed an electric motor comprising a stator 2) in three parts and made of laminated sheets 7; on the shaft 3 are mounted the rotor 1 with its three coils 1 ', 1 "and 4-" thus due the collector 5. The body 7.7 of the stator coils supports, by means of parts 5', carriers brushes 6 and a device? 7 for changing the voltage regime. For mounting the stator, its base is slid inside the group of coils after winding.
In the construction of the motor of the apparatus, it should be noted that the mounting of the laminated lamellae 7 of the stator can. be performed in several different ways, two variants being illustrated by way of example in fig. 3. In the left half of this figure, these lamellae are. mounted one behind the other and embedded, concentrically with the body 1, in a housing 8 by simple pressure and without the aid of rivets. On the other hand, in the right half of fig. 3, said strips are arranged radially and also crimped by clamping and without the use of rivets, one by one. next to the others in a housing 8 'of the body 1.
By means of this construction, a device has been produced with a rotary axis, capable of driving a razor head at each of its ends, one of which, with native alter movement, is used to remove the bulk of the beard and of which the other, with rotary movement, allows. to shave closely.
At the ends of the shaft 3 are arranged two bearings 9 and 9 '. The body 1 (FIG. 2) also has longitudinal ventilation grooves 26. The current is supplied to the motor by a cable 28 to two. conductors.
The cutting head 10 is kind of. that which is the subject. of Swiss patent N 279710. It comprises a grid crimped in a removable casing 12, for example made of synthetic material, under which grid is mounted, on the shaft 3, the spring 14 -supporting the knife 15. In order to ensure the immediate stopping of the cutting organ 14-15 in the event of accidental tearing of the grid of the cap 12 and to eliminate any possibility of accident. by cutting, the shaft 3 of the motor comprises, em clutched at its end, a safety rod 8 which supports the cutting mechanism 14-15.
The inside of the upper part of the body 1, covered by the cap 12, is arranged in the shape of a bowl 13, to collect the cut hairs.
The second cutting head 11 is similar to. that described in Swiss patent N 279986. It comprises a support. 16, the shape of which changes from the cylindrical section of the handle to the rectangular section of the head. This support 16 is crossed by the shaft 3 which transmits the movement of the motor to the cutting head composed of two superimposed blades, one fixed 18 (fig. 5) and the other oscillating 19 and whose mutual support is ensured. by two coil springs 20 and two other leaf springs 21. These latter springs serve, on the one hand, to fix the leaves on the head and, on the other hand, to support the two springs 20.
One of the sides of the support 16 (fig. 1, 6 and, 7) is provided with a rim 24, which comes integrally with it and forming a groove 25 intended, on the one hand, to collect the cut hairs. and, on the other hand, in combination with the flange 24, to. function as tensioner of the. skin The other side of the support 16 (FIG. 1) has been shaped to adapt a device to it. file the nails. One embodiment of this device is shown in detail in FIGS. 6 and 7.
The support. 16 has a cell so that, on the one hand, it is possible to press a finger, so that the nail is presented tangentially to a wheel 22 mounted on the shaft 3 and, on the other hand, the contact of the nail with the carpet through a slit in this support.
On the key end the shaft 3 (see fi, -. 6) above the wheel and immediately below the blades 18 and 19 is fixed an eccentric in the form of a crankpin 23, communicating a movement. back and forth. with the oscillating blade 19.
The elastic attachment of the cutting mechanism allows. remove and replace it at will, for disassembly and cleaning of the cutting head.
The razor described above has the advantage of a simplified construction by bringing together in a single piece two heads satisfying all the grooming needs relating to the epi lation and the care of the nails. Another advantage lies in that most of the constituent parts of the razor are mounted without the aid of screws or rivets.
