Electric razor in the shape of a handle with two different and opposite cutting heads.
We know different kinds of electric razors with various cutting heads, some of which are intended to remove the bulk of the beard, and others, to shave closely. To carry out these two operations, it is necessary to have either two devices, or a single device with Interchangeable heads, a single head combined for these two types of operations which cannot give as good results.
In order to avoid the bulkiness required by the use of two razors or of two separate heads and to achieve a simplification in the manufacture, the present invention has for ob- 3 and an electric razor in the form of a handle with two cutting heads. different and opposite, mounted at the ends of the motor shaft.

the curvature of the knives constitutes their cutting edge which is tangent to the convex part of the grid, so that during the rotation and thanks to the centrifugal force, the knives are applied against the inner face of the grid, which produces a certain braking during operation of the razor, so as to establish a balance between the speed of rotation and said braking. the second cutting head 11 is of the reciprocating or oscillating movement type. Bile has a support 16 whose outer shape passes from the cylindrical section of the handle to the rectangular section of the end of the head 11.
The support is crossed by the shaft j which transmits the movement of the motor to the cutting head 11, composed of two superimposed blades, one fixed 18 either the comb, and the other oscillating 19, or the knife, of which the Mutual support is provided by the combination of two spiral springs 20 and two other, flat, leaf springs 21. The last springs are used on the one hand to fix the blades on the cutting head and on the other hand to support the two spiral springs.
The left side of the support 16 (fig. 1, 6 and 7), with respect to the axis of symmetry of the blades 18 and 19, is provided with a flange 24, which comes in one piece with the support and forming, between the end of the latter and the wall of the head, a groove 25, intended on the one hand to collect the cut hairs and on the other hand, in combination with the flange 24, to function as a tensioner. the skin.

On the end of the shaft 3, above the wheel and immediately below the blades 18 and 19 as well as the springs zo and 21, is fixed an eccentric in the form of a crankpin 23, transforming the rotation of the motor in a reciprocating motion that it communicates to the movable blade 19,
The cutting mechanism is composed of this fixed blade 18 as well as of an elastic fastening in the form of a clip 30, comprising two branches of flat springs 21, which are fixed on said blade 18 and two coil springs 20, interposed on each side between the movable blade 19 and the springs 21. This special elastic fixing makes it possible to remove and put back at will all the cutting mechanism, for the disassembly and cleaning of the cutting head.
The razor described above has the advantage of a simplified construction, reducing in a single device two razor heads, satisfying all the needs of the toilet relating to hair removal and nail care. Another advantage is that all the constituent parts of the razor are manufactured without the aid of via or rivets.
An improved electric razor with two cutting heads is shown in Figs. 8 to 17. According to this second embodiment, the casing 31, forming at the same time a cylindrical handle, differs slightly, in its external form, from the casing 1 of the first embodiment. The casing also contains an electric motor 32, the stator 33 of which, in the form of a U, has the particularity that the induction cage of the rotor, generally

wmum u-tun i4A first execution, the electric motor actuates at the extracts of its shaft 40 the two cutting tbt $ 34 and 35 of the razor.
The cutting head 34, of the rotary motion type, has been improved from a constructive point of view, in that the edge of the grid 36 is incorporated into the cap 34 during the molding of the latter, which makes it possible to increase the effective cutting surface of the grid. the new construction also allows greater precision in the radius of curvature of the grid.
Another improvement brought to the cutting head 34 lies in the addition of a mount for the knives, comprising an internal support 37, consisting of a domed washer, for example of synthetic material, in the radial slots of the blade. which are housed the knives 38 and 39, its construction provides it with effective protection against injuries which could be caused by the knives in the event of an accidental tear of the grid. Casting rounded washer protects on the other hand the la.-The 3S and 39 as well as their mount, in the form of springs 40 and 41 respectively, against any deformation that may arise either during handling of the cutting head, or in progress of cleaning.
Moreover, the interior support j7 is easily interchangeable during a repair, 11 is electrically insulated, thus protecting the metal parts of the knives. fixed blade 44 are mounted on a fixing bridge 45, removable and retained to the cutting head 35 by means of two pin 46, elastic fixing by spiral springs 47, Interposed between the support 35 of the head and the bridge of fixing 45.
The reciprocating movement of the movable blade 43 is obtained by means of a finger 48, fixed to the thumbwheel 49, with nails, mounted at the end 51 of the shaft 3 'of the motor.
A circular space 5j is made in the head 35 to receive the cut bristles.
To obtain perfect insulation between the shaft 3 of the motor and the wheel 49, the latter is mounted on the end of the shaft 51 by means of an insulating washer 54. the tooth of the wheel is cut. on the edge of the upper face thereof, only side accessible by the nail 55, as shown in FIG. 12.
Instead of being metallic, mounted on an insulating core, the wheel 49 could also be constructed of synthetic material in one piece with the core. In this case, the toothing on the upper face of the wheel would be replaced by an application to said place, pandaat the hot molding of the part, of glass powder, to obtain a rough crown serving as a file.
