Device on explosion engines to regulate the fuel content of the fuel-air mixture. The invention relates to an introduction to explosion engines for regulating the fuel content of the fuel-air mixture with the aid of a mixture regulator which is connected to the cylinder via a connecting line in a predetermined phase of the compression stroke.
The device according to the invention is. characterized in that the connection between the regulator and the cylinder is established by a shut-off device which opens in a predetermined phase of the compression stroke and is actuated as a function of the piston movement, and is again interrupted by the piston itself by this die.-Mouth the connecting line shuts off in a later phase of the compression stroke.
In that the connection between the regulator and the cylinder through a dependent. be actuated by the piston movement shut-off device, z. B. a slide or a valve, made and interrupted by the piston itself again, it is possible to change the crank angle, while wel chem the connection between the cylinder and the mixture regulator is made to ver, which is not possible if both the opening as well as the closing is effected by the same organ, because z. B. with a valve or slide with the opening moment Publ, and the closing moment ver is provided. On the other hand, it is impossible to achieve that a channel which is controlled solely by the piston is open only during the compression stroke in a predetermined phase.
With reference to the accompanying drawings, for example, embodiments of the invention are explained in application to two-stroke engines. 1 shows a schematic view of a motor with part of the device, FIG. 2 shows a schematic view of a mixer controller, FIG. 3 shows a control diagram for the motor shown in FIG. 1, FIGS. 4 to 7 show schematic views their engines each with.
a part of the device, FIG. 8 the floor plan of a mixture regulator, FIG. 9 a section along the line 7.7-17 of FIG. 8 in the direction of the arrows, FIG. 10 a section along the line 18-18 of FIG. 9 seen in the direction of the arrows and FIG. 11 is a detail in elevation in the direction of the arrows 19-19 of FIG.
The explosion engine 1 according to Figure 1 has a cylinder la, in which a piston 4, an exhaust duct 5, an air supply duct 8, a fuel supply line 9 and a spark plug 1b are arranged in a known manner.
There is a channel 6 in the cylinder wall. a rotary valve 7 is provided, which channel opens into the cylinder directly above the air inlet channel 8. The slide 7 is operated via means not shown by moving engine parts, for example from the crankshaft 1e, depending on the piston movement. Fig. 3 shows a crank diagram of the engine shown in Fig. 1, based on a complete reciprocating movement of the piston.
TC means the top dead center or the compression end position of the piston 4, PO the moment when the opening of the opening of the channel 6 by the piston, E0 the release of the exhaust channel 5, and 10 the release of the air inlet - channel 8, IC the closing of the channel 8, VO the opening moment of the slide 7, EC the closing of the exhaust port 5,
PC the obstruction of the mouth of the channel 6 by the piston and VC the closure of the screen 7. Even if the slide 7 is open between the times <I> VO </I> and VC, the channel 6 connects only during of the hatched time intervals between the points <I> VO </I> and <I> PC </I> the cylinder la via the line 3 with the mixture regulator 2 (Fig. 2).
An embodiment of the mixture regulator shown schematically in FIG. 2 show FIGS. 8 to 11 in detail.
The amount of fuel supplied to the engine is given by the angular position of a shaft 19 which acts, for example, on a fuel pump. This shaft 19 can be adjusted in a known manner.
In the housing of the controller there are two air intake ducts 10, which lead ziun motor in a manner not signed ge and in which about axes 12 Drosselklap pen 11 for setting the effective cross o the suction ducts 10 are provided. Either the shaft 19 or then the throttle valves 17 are adjusted by the machine operator.
To achieve that with minimal burning; Substance supply, the air supply is severely throttled and the effective cross-section of the channels 10 is also large at maximum fuel supply, the shaft 19, with the throttle valve 11, is connected by a linkage <B> 2 </B> 3-18-17-11-13 the joints 23a, 22, 21 and 20 connected. The lever 17 is pivotable in the bearing 16. For a fixed bearing 16, there is a clear relationship between the angular positions of the throttle valves 11 and the shaft 19.
However, the height of the bearing 16 is changeable. With the shaft 19 held, that is, with the fuel supply unchanged, a lowering of the bearing 1.6 causes the throttle valve 17 to pivot in the sense of a reduction in the air supply and lifting the bearing 16 causes the throttle valve 1.1 to pivot in the sense of an increase in the air supply. When the throttle valve 1.1 is held in place, however, a vertical displacement of the bearing 16 causes the shaft 19 to rotate.
The adjustment of the bearing 16 is achieved with the aid of a spindle 27 which is fastened to a membrane 28 and the lower end of which is connected by a joint 39 to one arm 37 of an angle lever pivoted about the axis 38. Between tween the other arm 36 of this lever and the free end 35 of an arm 31 also sitting on the shaft 19, a screw benfeder 32 is inserted. The membrane 28 is held along its circumference by the cover 42 pressed onto the housing by the screw bolts 43. The membrane divides the control chamber into an upper part 31, which is permanently under atmospheric pressure, and a lower part 29, which is connected to the line 3.
The central part of the membrane 28 lies between two disks 44, the lower of which rests on a flange 45 of the spindle 27, while a nut 46 presses against the upper disk with a washer 47 in between.
Since the chamber part 29 of the mixture regulator 2 located under the diaphragm is connected to the cylinder 1a by the connecting line 3, the lower diaphragm side is exposed to a pressure during operation that is equal to that in the cylinder at the beginning of the Compression ruling approximately corresponds to pressure. A change in the prevailing part in the lower chamber. Pressure causes a shift; the membrane 28 and thus the spindle 27.
On the other hand, an adjustment of the shaft 19 causes a direct adjustment of the throttle 1 via the said Ge linkage or an adjustment of the spindle 27, since the arm 34 acts on the lever arm 36 via the spring 32, but this a flow by appropriate choice the spring characteristic is appropriately kept smaller than the influence of the pressure change.
In the controller, only the mean value of the pressure over a plurality of work cycles comes into effect. Because the air volume decreases as the operating temperature rises, but the volume and pressure remain unchanged, a temperature-dependent control element is provided in the device. This consists of a bimetallic strip 41, which is fastened to the relay housing at one end and at the other end carries a slide 40 which can be moved up and down in the arm 36 and serves as an abutment for the spring 32.
In this way, the effective length of the lever arm 36 is changed as a function of the operating temperature, so that the influence of adjustment movements of the shaft 19 on the displacement of the spin del 27 changes accordingly. The controller characteristics are thereby also adapted to the mean value of the engine operating temperature over a large number of work cycles. An upward movement of the spindle 27, for.
B. caused by increasing the pressure acting on the mem brane 28 from below. the throttle valve closes because the spindle 27 engages the lever 17 via a double lever 24 which is mounted on the cover 42 in bearings 25 and which is connected to the spindle 27 by means of the joint 26 and whose free end forms the bearing pin 16.
The regulator is designed in such a way that in the event of 1) jerks or temperature changes in the cylinder 29, either the air supply to the cylinder or the amount of fuel supplied to the cylinder is changed, depending on which of the two regulating organs is held from the outside.
Such a controller can now not only be used in connection with a motor type according to Fig.l, but also for other motor types, as shown in Figs. 4 to 7 as further examples.
The engine of Fig. 4 has plate valve 50 for controlling the exhaust ports 51. Belwelle depending on the rotation of the cure. The channel 6 opens into the upper cylinder 1 a and is controlled under the action of the slide 7 and the piston 4 in the same manner as has been described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 3.
The engine of FIG. 5 has longitudinal flushing and is seen ver with opposing pistons. The cylinder bores are dimensioned differently. The cylinder 1 is provided with the intake ports 52 and the exhaust ports 53. In this construction, the connecting channel is. 6 is provided with a rotary slide valve 7 and arranged in a manner analogous to the embodiment according to FIG. 1.
The engine according to FIG. 6 has a <B> 'U- </B> -shaped cylinder, which has the inlet 61 and the exhaust 62 and a duct 6 with a rotary valve 7, the duct 6 again in connection with the mixture regulator stands. The cylinder bores are dimensioned differently.
The engine according to FIG. 7 has a cylinder into which, in addition to the connecting channel 6, a loading channel 56, a scavenging channel 57 and an exhaust channel 58 opens. Instead of the rotary valve 7, a poppet valve 70 is provided in the channel 6, which is opened to establish the connec tion between the cylinder and the Ge mixer in a manner not shown in dependence on the piston movement.
