Steuereini-Ichtung an Zweitakt-Einspritzbrennkraftmaschinen.

Control unit on two-stroke internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a control device for two-stroke injection BrennkraftmascUinen that work in a large speed and load range, z.
B. for vehicle propulsion engines, with welel: Len a directly driven flushing and charging fan and between the working cylinder and the exhaust duct a movable closing element is provided, which is driven by the ma-selleine with the interposition of an adjusting device that enables the closing time to be shifted.
In such two-stroke machines it is known to automatically adjust the closing time of the closing element in the exhaust duct depending on the amount of air conveyed by the fan, in the sense that the closing of the Outlet earlier. This measure makes it possible to charge the machine to a constant boost pressure over the entire speed range and thus to achieve the torque curve required for vehicle operation as a function of the speed.
The adjustment of the closing element in the outlet channel takes place in this known machine design, for example, advantageously as a function of a pressure gradient generated in one of the nozzles that flow through the scavenging air and charge air.
With this type of machine it is also known to automatically adjust the closing time of the closing element in the exhaust duct not only as a function of this one operating variable, that is to say on the speed or, equivalently, on the amount of air taken up by the machine, but also on the other hand, it depends on the amount of fuel injected into the engine, i.e. the engine load, in the sense that the outlet closes earlier with decreasing engine speed or decreasing air volume, while it closes later with decreasing injection amount or decreasing engine load.
With such an arrangement, it is possible in the partial load range to reduce the flushing and loading pressure against which the fan driven by the machine has to work and thus effectively reduce the power requirement of this fan at partial load and the fuel consumption of the machine.
According to the present invention, a significant simplification of the control device required to implement the above regulating processes is achieved in that the adjustment of the closing time of the closing element takes place as a function of a pressure gradient that occurs in at least part of the scavenging and charge air flow through nozzle is generated,
This pressure gradient is influenced by changing at least part of the flow cross-section for the air as a function of the amount of fuel injected into the machine, in the sense that as the fuel amount decreases, the pressure gradient is increased by reducing the flow cross-section.
The pressure gradient generated in the nozzle has an advantageous effect on a spring-loaded piston, which is connected to the adjustment device to be made to shift the closing time of the closing element in the outlet channel, in the sense that with decreasing pressure gradient (decreasing air volume and speed as well as increasing injection volume) the The outlet ended earlier.
The pressure gradient used in the control device can be generated in a nozzle through which the entire <B> scavenging </B> and charge air flows, the narrowest cross-section of which is changed depending on the injection quantity by a displaceable adjusting body (advantageously a streamlined body), in the sense that the lower the injection quantity, the smaller the flow cross-section.
The pressure gradient can, however, also be generated in a nozzle with an unchangeable cross-section through which only part of the <B> flushing </B> and charge air flows, with the remaining part of the <B> flushing </B> and Charge air flows through a bypass duct, the cross section of which is changed by the injection quantity, in the sense that the flow cross section is reduced as the injection quantity decreases.
The nozzle through which at least part of the rinsing and charging nft flows, together with the possible bypass duct, can either be on the sow side or on the soap of the blower driven by the machine.
The pressure drop generated in the nozzle can, in addition to controlling the closing phase of the closing element in the exhaust duct, also regulate the speed of the injection engine.
For this purpose, the pressure drop generated in the nozzle can be brought into action not only on the piston of the closing time adjustment device for the closure organ, but also on a second spring-loaded piston, the one with the narrowing adjustment device Injection pump is connected, in the sense that with increasing pressure gradient after fTberwinduli,
p the spring force acting on the piston reduces the injection quantity. With such an arrangement, the adjusting element (e.g.
B. deni Aeceleratorpedal) directly on the flow cross-section for the <B> scavenging </B> and charge air adjusting Or-an, in the sense that when set to larger - Machine output the flow cross-section is enlarged.
Various exemplary embodiments of the control device according to the invention are shown on the Zeiehn line.
Fi.-. <B> 1 </B> shows a schematic cross-section through a two-stroke internal combustion engine, on the one hand with adjustment of the closing time of the shut-off element in the exhaust duct depending on one of the <B> flushing </B> and the nozzle through which the charge air flows generated a pressure gradient, i.e. the machine speed,
on the other hand, it depends on the amount of fire-fuel injected into the machine, i.e. the machine load.
Fig. 2 shows the course of the pressure gradient used for regulation as a function of the speed at various loads.
FIG. 3 schematically shows a partial cross-section of FIG. 1 of a further embodiment, with a flow cross-section for the <B> divided into an unchangeable nozzle and a changeable bypass channel Purge </B> and charge air.
Fig. 4 shows schematically a partial cross-section according to Fig. 3 of an embodiment, in which, however, the pressure gradient generated in the flow nozzle, in addition to adjusting the closing time of the shut-off element in the exhaust duct, also acts on the quantity adjustment element of the injection pump is used.
In the working cylinder of <B> 1 </B> shown in FIG. 1, the working piston <B> 2 </B> executes it in a known manner via the connecting rod <B> 3 </ B > works on the crankshaft 4, its up and down movement. In the working cylinder <B> 1 </B>, both the inlet slot <B> 5 </B> for the scavenging air and the outlet slot <B> 6 </B> for the exhaust are controlled by the working piston 2. In order to be able to hold back a larger air charge in the cylinder, the shut-off member driven by the machine, for example a rotary flap, is in the exhaust duct <B> 7 </B> connected to the outlet slots <B> 6 </B> > 8, </B> a built.
This rotary valve is driven by the crankshaft 4 via the spur gears <B> 9, 10, </B> the bevel gears <B> 11, </B> 12, the shaft <B> 13, </B> the sleeve 14, the Shaft piece <B> 15 </B> and the bevel gears <B> 16, 17 </B> are driven. The closing time of the closing element <B> 8 </B> is set in such a way that the exhaust duct <B> 7 </B> is shut off before the working piston <B> 2 </B> hits the inlet slits when it goes up after the bottom dead center <B> 5 </B> is heading back.
In this way, the air flowing into the cylinder through the inlet slots 5 under the scavenging and boost pressure PL can be held back there. The <B> flushing </B> and charge air is supplied by the motor-driven blower <B> 18 </B>, which receives it through the nozzle <B> 19 </B> and via the duct 20 the inlet slots <B> 5 </B>.
The streamlined body 21 is mounted coaxially with the nozzle 19 and axially displaceable in it. This streamlined body can be pushed into the nozzle <B> 19 </B> to a greater or lesser extent, so that its cross section can thereby be changed in a certain range.
The displacement of the streamlined earpiece 21 takes place by means of angled lever 25 and rod 24 from the lever 27 on the injection pump 28, with which the injection quantity is changed and which lever in turn is actuated by the accelerator pedal 22 via rod 23. The spring <B> 26 </B> strives to push the filling lever <B> 27 </B> of the fuel injection pump <B> 28 </B> into the idling position <B> 0 </B> and the nozzle cross-section by pushing it in of the streamlined body 21 in the nozzle <B> 19 </B> as small as possible.
The pressure pD generated in the nozzle <B> 19 </B> acts via the connecting line <B> 29 </B> on one side of the spring-loaded flexible skin piston <B provided in the housing <B> 30 </B> > 31, </B> which divides the housing <B> 30 </B> into two chambers. The pressure of the outside atmosphere acts on the opposite side of the piston, re <B> p, </B> The flexible skin piston <B> 31 </B> is thus exposed to the differential pressure P, 7-PD. The movements of this flexible skin piston are transmitted to the sliding sleeve 14 by the rod <B> 32 </B> via the angle lever <B> 33 </B>.
So that the adjustment of the closing time of the rotary flap <B> 8 </B> is on the one hand dependent on the pressure gradient p "7-pi), on the other hand depending on the amount of fuel injected into the mass, Iiine er <B> follows, </B> so that the outlet closes earlier with decreasing engine speed and later with decreasing injection quantity i, the shaft <B> 13 </B> has straight splines, the shaft piece <B> 15 </ B > but provided with a coarse thread. Both shafts are connected by the sliding sleeve 14.
If this sleeve is moved upwards, <B> f </B> the rotary flap <B> 8 </B> closes earlier, if it is moved downwards, the flap <B> 8 </B> closes later.
In Fig. 2, the relationship between the Maseliine speed ii and the pressure drop P "7 - PD resulting in the nozzle 19 is shown, namely for different positions of the streamlined body 21 and thus for different positions at the Injection pump <B> 28 </B> set injection quantities, that is, machine loads M, 1. The quadratic relationship- (P.7-PD) <B> <I> exists between pressure drop (N-PD) and machine speed n = </I> </B> K.
n2 where K is a constant variable which is still dependent on the position of the streamlined body 21 and thus on the injection quantity.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the flow cross section for the scavenging air and charge air is in a nozzle 35 with an unchangeable flow cross section which the pressure gradient Pa = PD is generated, and in a shunt channel, in the example shown also of a nozzle-like shape, in which a nozzle <B> 36 </B> with a throttle valve <B> 37 </B> is built, - divided. The throttle valve <B> 37 </B> is connected via the lever <B> 38 </B> through the rod 24 to the fuel quantity-regulating element <B> 27 </B> of the injection pump.
4 shows an arrangement in which the flow cross-section for the scavenging air and charge air is formed in the same way as in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 3, that is to say it is in a nozzle <B> 35 </B> with an unchangeable flow cross-section, in which the pressure gradient (P., # - PD) is generated, and in a nozzle-like channel <B> 36 </B> with the throttle valve <B> 37 </B> divided. This throttle valve is actuated directly by the accelerator pedal 40 via the Ilebel <B> 38 </B> and the rod <B> 39 </B>.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the pressure PD generated in the nozzle 35 acts, except via the line 29, on one side of the piston of the closing time adjustment device for the closing element via the line 41 to one side of the flexible skin piston 43 located in the housing 42. This side of the piston 43 is also loaded by a spring 44; the pressure p "of the outside air acts on the other side of the flexible skin piston.
In this way, the flexible skin piston is in one direction of movement under the action of the pressure difference Pa-PD, in the other direction of movement - under the action of the restoring force of the pretensioned spring 44. The flexible skin piston 43 is via the rod 45 with the menu adjustment element <B> 27 </B> of the injection pump <B> 28 </B>.
If the force effect resulting from the pressure gradient (P "= PD) is less than the force of the pretensioned spring 44, the flexible skin piston (reo, en an adjustable stop 46 is pressed. The setting of the stop 46 determines the largest injection quantity.
With an increasing number of machine turns, the pressure difference (Pr-PD) for a certain position of the throttle valve <B> 37 </B> increases quadratically. If the force resulting from the pressure difference (P, # --- PD) on the flexible skin piston exceeds the force of the pretensioned spring 44, the flexible skin piston 43 will move to the right and the injection quantity will be <B by pivoting the lever > 27 </B> decrease to the right, <B> so </B> long,
until there is equilibrium between the spring force and the added force of the pressure difference <B> Z, </B> (P, 7--1) D) force exerted on the piston 43. After a certain number of revolutions. which corresponds to the degree of irregularity of the speed control, t '21 the injection quantity will be reduced to the minimum value required by the engine for idling.
Depending on the setting of the throttle valve <B> 37 </B> actuated by the accelerator pedal 40, the regulation will take place at a lower or higher machine speed. The speed of the machine is determined by the position of the accelerator pedal. The pressure drop generated in the nozzle <B> 35 </B> can also be used to control the speed of the machine.
In the examples shown, the nozzle and any shunt duct flowing through at least part of the scavenging air and charge air could be arranged on the pressure side of the fan driven by the machine instead of on the suction side.
