Montre.
Watch. The object. of the invention is. a watch in which the hour hand is coupled to the hour wheel by a mechanism allows both a sudden change and a defined angle of the position of this hand relative to this wheel. Such an arrangement can be used in pocket watches as well as in on-board watches or in wristwatches and will find its use when the wearer passes by. from one time zone to another. These time zones are shifted by a whole hour from one to the other. But as this difference can be in one direction or the other, we will preferably provide means for moving the position of the hour hand forward or back by a whole hour.
The appended drawing represents, partially and by way of example, an embodiment of a watch according to the invention. This is a so-called hour hand independent of the minute hand, that is to say turning on a separate hour circle off-center relative to the dial of the watch.
The organs are shown in fi-. 1 in plan and only as far as the understanding of the invention requires. Fig. 2 is a view of a detail.
The hour wheel 1, which receives its movement from a pinion 21, turns idle on an axis 2 still carrying a star wheel 3 and a square toothed wheel 4. It is on the barrel 5 of the star wheel that 'is fixed the hour hand 20 which has been drawn in lines and dots. On the. toothed wheel 1 is pivoted a sau toir 6 whose head is supported by a spring 7 clans one of the twelve entredents of the star wheel which correspond to the various signs of the hour circle.
In the vicinity of the. wheel 1 is pivoted at 8 a lever 9 to which is articulated a double pawl 10 which, in the middle position, that is to say as it is drawn, rests lightly and elastically by its part which is hole between the hooks 11 and 12 against the square den ture of the wheel 4. This pawl 10 is held in this position by a spring mounted on the lever 9, which is. maintained in its middle position by a spring 1.3 taking in a notch 9a.
A pusher 14 shown in FIG. 2 to 900 of the fi-. 1 crosses the caseband of the watch. It is. rotatably movable and is under the action of a spring 15, which keeps it outwardly out of contact with the. rocks, and also maintains the nose 16 of the pusher 14 in a position such as an actuation; accident has no effect on the. rocking.
To act on the latter in one direction or the other, it is therefore first necessary to turn the pusher 9011 to bring the nose 16 either. right, either. to the left of the pivot point 8 of the rocker 9. This rotation having been made, the thrust which follows it acts on one side or the other of this point. of pivoting. 8 to engage either the hook 11 or the hook 12 with the square toothed wheel 4 and advance or retreat the star wheel by one tooth. This movement will correspond to the desired change of the hour hand.
When the pusher is released, it snaps back into place under the action of the springs acting on it. The pawl 10 returns to the position shown and the watch can continue to operate.
