Calendar timepiece The present invention relates to a calendar timepiece, in which the date indications are carried by an internally toothed crown.
This timepiece is characterized in that the said crown is controlled, once every twenty-four hours, by a solid finger of a barrel pivoted on the frame of the movement; a spiral-shaped cam, against which rests a jumper, is fixed on this barrel while a driving wheel, making one revolution in twenty-four hours, is mounted madly on it and drives it by means of 'a coupling comprising an ankle carried by one of the two elements - wheel and cam entering an arched opening of the other element.
The whole is arranged so that, said cam making one revolution in twenty-four hours, progressively lifts the jumper which, when it reaches the end of the co-limaçon, then acts on a ramp which the cam presents to produce a jump. of the latter during which the control finger drives the date crown and produces the instantaneous advance of the latter.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a timepiece in which only the components necessary for understanding the invention have been shown and, FIG. 2 is a section taken along the line 11-11 of FIG. 1, on a larger scale.
The watch shown comprises an hour wheel 1 on the barrel 1a of which is fixed an additional wheel 2 driving a wheel 3 at the rate of one revolution per twenty-four hours. This wheel 3 is mounted idle around a barrel 4 itself rotating on a fixed journal 5 belonging to the frame of the movement and on which it is held in place by a screw 6.
This barrel is integral with a finger 4a actuating once per revolution the internal teeth 7 of a crown 8 bearing the indications -9 of quan tths. In fig. 1, only the numbers 30 and 31 of the dates have been shown, but crown 8 bears the numbers 1 to 31.
The barrel 4 is secured to a cam 1 0 if killed under the wheel 3, in the form of a spiral, which carries a drive pin 11 through an opening in the form of an arc 12 of the wheel 3. Thanks to this arrangement, the cam 10 is driven, at a rate of one revolution in twenty-four hours, by the wheel 3. A jumper 13, articulated at 14 on the frame of the movement, is kept applied against the cam 10 by a spring 15.
During the rotation of the cam 10, in the direction of the arrow 16 (fig. 1), the spring 15 is slowly loaded by the cam 10, until the point 13a of the jumper reaches the end. mite 17 of the spiral staircase. The jumper then slides on a ramp 18 presented by the cam 10 and thus produces an abrupt advance of this cam in the direction of the arrow 16, during which the pin 11 moves freely in the opening 12 of the wheel. 3.
At this time, the finger 4a drives the teeth 7 of the crown 8 and thus produces a sudden jump of this crown. The advance of dates is therefore instantaneous. A jumper 19 is secured in the toothing 7 to prevent the crown 8 from inadvertently moving.
It should be noted that the ramp 18 of the cam 10 is in an arc of a circle so that, when this cam rotates in the opposite direction to the normal direction of travel, during the manual reset, the jumper 13 is simply raised by the ramp 18 without any damage to the mechanism occurring.
