Inhalationsapparat.
Fig. 2 denselben im Querschnitt veranschaulicht.
Inhaler.
The present invention deals with an inhaler according to the baffle system described in the main patent.
According to the additional invention, the baffle wall is arranged eccentrically on a spring-loaded axis of rotation at one end, such that the baffle wall can be pivoted without opening the apparatus in and outside the area of the air flow atomizing the inhalation material to produce an extremely dry or allow wet inhalation.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment, namely:
1 shows the inhalation apparatus in longitudinal section, partly in view, while
Fig. 2 illustrates the same in cross section.
1 is the container for the heating medium, provided with the outlet nozzle 2. A container 3 protrudes into this container 1 with a receptacle 4 for the inhalation liquid which can be lifted out of it. A housing hood 6 provided with a mouthpiece 5 is hinged above the container 1 by means of a hinge 7 on the former so that it can be tilted open. The atomizer system 8, 9 is fastened to the hood 6 by means of an angle piece 10.
The baffle wall 11 is attached eccentrically to an axis of rotation 12, the path of which is limited by a stop pin 13 on the bearing 14. The bearing 14 penetrates the hood 6. The free, outwardly protruding end of the axis of rotation has a rotary knob 15, between which and the bearing 14 there is a helical spring 16 which prevents the axis of rotation and thus the baffle 11 from rotating inadvertently. The axis of rotation 12 can be rotated in such a way that the baffle wall 11 can be pivoted out of the area of the air flow atomizing the inhalation material without opening the apparatus, thus creating an extremely dry or allows wet inhalation. According to FIG. 1, the baffle wall 11 is pivoted up into the operative position.
The inhalation material sucked in by the air stream like an injector is atomized and blown against the baffle wall 11, whereby the finely atomized parts of the inhalation liquid rise like smoke and escape through the mouthpiece 5, while larger droplets that are entrained stick to the baffle wall 11 and gradually enter the container 1 respectively. Drain into vessel 4. In the position indicated by dash-dotted lines, that is, pivoted downwards, the baffle wall 11 has no effect.
In the illustrated embodiment, the axis of rotation 12 is arranged directly below the mouthpiece 5, but can of course also be provided on the left or right side thereof.
