Device to facilitate the movement of pedestrians in the dark. The present invention relates to a positive device for facilitating the circulation of pedestals in the dark which is characterized in that it consists of a cane whose lower end is connected to at least one wheel intended to roll on the wheel. ground, in front of the user holding the cane in his hand, so that he can perceive, by means of the castor (s) and the cane, the acci dents of the ground and the obstacles in his way .
Figs. 1 and 2 of the appended drawing represent, by way of example, two embodiments of the device forming the subject of the invention.
In the following example fig. 1, the device comprises a cane 1, having at its lower end a wheel 2 intended to roll on the ground, in front of the user holding the cane in his hand. Thus the user perceives, by means of the roulette wheel and the cane, accidents of terrain and obstacles in his way, when he is traveling in the dark, in particular during a period of darkness.
The second embodiment also comprises a rod 1, provided at its lower part with a roller 2. This second positive device further comprises a bar 3 fixed to a pivot at 4, in the lower region of the rod and carrying a second roulette 5, arranged parallel to the first at a distance from the latter substantially equal to the width of the human body. In the position of use, the spacer 3 extends perpendicularly to the rod, as shown in FIG. 2, and is thus maintained thanks to two articulated levers 6.
After use, the spacer 3, as well as the levers 6 ,, are folded down so as to be erased along the rod, as is the wheel. This second embodiment allows the user to to detect obstacles which are found, for example, in front of the left half of his body and which would then escape, if the device according to fig. 1, holding it by the right hand.
In the case of the second embodiment, a dry cell 7 is provided, connected by a circuit 8 to a bulb 9 placed on the part 3. The circuit 8 is controlled at the upper part of the rod by means of a switch not shown, so as to allow the lighting of the ground by means of the bulb 9. The bulb 9 can naturally be provided in blue color, for example, so as to allow it to be used in times of darkness.
