Fensterrahmen.
Window frames. The present invention relates to a window frame consisting of a support and a cover profile, for example for a shop window, with slot ventilation invisible from the outside, in which the cover profile is brought into operative connection with the support profile via sliding pieces.
In a known window frame of this type, the sliding pieces on the support profile can be determined by means of screws and practice when screwing through Formverän change on the .Schiebestücke a clamping effect on the cover profile to fix the location of the latter -aus. This change in shape comes about because a conical part of the screw pushes into an extension of the sliding piece web and thereby causes the sliding piece flange to bend.
The subject matter of the invention differs from this known embodiment in that the sliding piece has two expanding legs which, for the purpose of insertion, can be pressed against one another during assembly in two opposing grooves of the cover profile and then spread apart and clamp into the cover profile.
The drawing shows an embodiment: an example of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through a window frame; Fig. 2 and 3 show the support profile in cross section BEZW. in plan view; 4 and 5 show two different profiles of the cover rail in cross section as detailed variants.
The support profile of the frame is designated with 1, Idas cover profile with 2. The support profile 1 is useful from a profile piece in the in F'ig. 2 and 3 shown shape and has ventilation slots 3, between which webs 4 remain.
The cover profile 2 is placed on edge in the frame plane and has no longer, horizontally lying webs, so that it can be easily bent if it is to be used for the production of curved shop window frames. This cover profile can also have a cross-sectional shape according to FIG. 4 or 5 or have any other cross-section, not shown.
The cover profile is equipped with two superimposed and mutually facing longitudinal grooves 5 and 6 for the acceptance of sliding pieces, as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 4 and 5.
The sliding pieces have the cross section shown in FIG. 1. They have a horizontal part 7: one longitudinal edge of which is slotted, so da.ss two spreading legs striving apart are present, each of which has a flange 8 and 8 respectively. 9 wears. The other longitudinal edge of each Sehiebestüek- steg has a cam 10, the purpose of which is described below. To assemble the frame, the sliding pieces are first pushed into the cover profiles.
For this purpose, a known device is required, by means of which the two flanges 8 and 9 are pressed against each other, whereupon the one can be pushed into the cover profile. If each sliding piece is in the desired location, the said clamping device is removed and the two expanding legs move apart and clamp the sliding piece to the cover profile. In -den between the vent slots 3 remaining webs 4 spaced holes with screw threads for receiving a screw 12 are provided.
The spacing of the sliding pieces from one another after the latter has been introduced into the cover profile is selected such that it: corresponds approximately to the spacing of the screws 12 from one another. If the sliding pieces are now inserted into the longitudinal groove 11 of the support profile, then you only need to tighten the screws 12 to .das. To attach the cover profile to the support profile. When the screw 12 is tightened, it grips the cam 10 of the sliding piece and pulls the latter into the groove 11 of the support profile.
The glass pane 13 is inserted between the cover and the support profile in a manner known per se and secured by means of putty or another suitable means.
The sliding pieces are, as shown in Fig. 3 shows, not in the area of the ventilation slots 3, so that the latter can fully reach the whirlpool and air. and let condensation water through. The air flow in particular takes the end indicated by arrows in Fig. 1. Path.
The penetration of the air to the ventilation slots 3 and further through them is made possible in the case of the lower horizontal window: framing parts by the fact that the lower web of the cover profile is milled at intervals to form slots 1.4 or completely milled. as indicated in FIG. 1.
In the case of the known embodiment mentioned in the introduction, the slide are fitted into such a position within the support profiles that they come to rest over the ventilation slots. This is. in itself a necessity, because the screws ben for these sliding pieces through the vent slots themselves inserted through who must. This requires that the screws are attached and screwed in during the assembly of the shop window frame. have to be, which in practice has proven to be cumbersome and time-consuming.
On the other hand, the window frame according to the present invention has the advantage that the viewing hoods 12 can be inserted into the holes of the support profile before the frame is installed and only need to be tightened after the sliding pieces have been pushed into the support profile In itself it is irrelevant at which point the screws never grasp sliding pieces, because the latter do not have any screw holes, the result is faster and cheaper 3lontage, since there is no need to search for the threaded holes. This fact has proven to be a significant relief when inserting proven by shop windows.
Another advantage of the sliding pieces described is that after they have been inserted into the cover profile and set within it, they can no longer shift due to the clamping action, so that they no longer slide down when sharing the vertical frame, but in place remain, while they always slid down in the known frame design when the frame in question parts were placed vertically.
