Appareil pour ouvrir et vider des boîtes métalliques contenant un liquide. La présente invention a pour objet un ap pareil pour ouvrir et vider des boîtes métal liques contenant un liquide. Cet appareil est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une enve loppe dans laquelle on introduit la boîte mé tallique à ouvrir et vider et un outil aigu figé à la paroi de cette enveloppe et destiné à perforer la boîte, lorsqu'on exerce sur elle une pression la poussant à l'encontre -de cet outil. afin que le contenu de la boîte s'écoule dans l'enveloppe.
De préférence, l'appareil comporte en ou tre un dispositif servant à exercer la pression mentionnée sur la boite, et un outil destiné à perforer la boîte dans le haut pour que l'air puisse y pénétrer lors de l'écoulement du li quide.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'appa reil faisant l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation de cet appareil dont la fig. 2 est une vue en coupe axiale, à plus grande échelle. 1 désigne le tube d'écoulement d'une par tie en forme d'entonnoir 2, dont les parois sont prolongées vers le haut sous la forme d'une enveloppe cylindrique 3. Un outil aigu constitué par une lame 4 figée à l'intérieur de la paroi de l'enveloppe 3, est destiné à perforer le fond 16 d'une boîte métallique 5 contenant un liquide 6 et pouvant pénétrer dans l'enveloppe.
Dans le haut est fixé, à la paroi de l'en veloppe sur sa face extérieure, un bâti 8, dans lequel tourne un arbre portant une roue den tée 9 solidaire d'un bras 17, et dans lequel peut coulisser et tourner une tige cylindri- que 10, dans laquelle .sont taillées des gorges 11, de façon à former une crémaillère dont les dents sont annulaires, et engrenant avec celles de la roue 9.
Une pièce 12, fixée à ,l'extrémité supé rieure de la tige 10 s'étend transversalement à l'axe de cette tige, de manière à pouvoir être amenée par rotation en travers -du fond supérieur de la boîte 5 introduite dans l'en veloppe et cette pièce porte un outil aigu 14 destiné à perforer ce fond supérieur 15 de la boîte, ,lequel fond est ordinairement un peu en retrait du bord 13 de la boîte. Le bâti 8 présente un prolongement 18 destiné à fournir un point d'appui lors de l'actionne- ment du bras 17 vers le haut.
Le fonctionnement de l'appareil décrit est le suivant: le contenu 6 de la boîte à ou vrir et vider étant, par exemple, une huile de graissage pour voiture automobile. Le tube 1 est introduit dans l'ouverture de la boîte de graissage de .la voiture. L'enveloppe est supposée vide, la tige 10 est maintenue dans ra position supérieure par le poids du bras 17.
On introduit la boîte 5 après avoir écarté de son passage la pièce 12 que l'on ramène au- dessus d'elle; le fond 16 de la boîte repose alors sur la pointe de l'outil 4. On fait tour ner le bras 17 vers le haut, ce qui amène d'a bord la pointe -de l'outil 14 sur le fond 15. puis on exerce une force plus grande sur ce bras 17, ce qui fait que les deux outils eom- menoent à pénétrer dans les fonds 15 et 16.
Le dessous de la pièce 12 rencontre le bord 13 lorsque l'outil 14 s'est enfoncé et presse sur la boîte de manière qu'elle pénètre plus profondément dans l'enveloppe et que l'outil 4 agrandisse l'ouverture commencée au fond 16. Une veine 7 de liquide s'écoule alors di rectement par la partie en forme d'entonnoir dans l'ouverture de la boîte de graissage et de l'air pénètre par l'ouverture du fond 15.
Le tube 1 pourrait être muni d'un robi net; il pourrait aussi être conformé de ma nière qu'on puisse le prolonger par un tuyau de caoutchouc.
L'appareil pourrait ne pas comporter de moyens mécaniques pour presser sur la boîte, celle-ci pouvant être poussée à la main et per forée dans le haut par un moyen quelconque. L'enveloppe pourrait, par exemple, présenter un collet ou des oreilles servant d'appui à la main pour la pression sur la boîte.

Fig. 1 is an elevational view of this device, FIG. 2 is an axial sectional view, on a larger scale. 1 designates the flow tube of a funnel-shaped part 2, the walls of which are extended upwards in the form of a cylindrical casing 3. A sharp tool consisting of a blade 4 fixed inside of the wall of the casing 3, is intended to perforate the bottom 16 of a metal box 5 containing a liquid 6 and able to penetrate into the casing.
At the top is fixed, to the wall of the casing on its outer face, a frame 8, in which rotates a shaft carrying a toothed wheel 9 integral with an arm 17, and in which can slide and rotate a rod cylindrical 10, in which grooves 11 are cut, so as to form a rack whose teeth are annular, and mesh with those of wheel 9.
A part 12, fixed to the upper end of the rod 10 extends transversely to the axis of this rod, so as to be able to be brought by rotation across the upper bottom of the box 5 introduced into the veloppe and this piece carries a sharp tool 14 intended to perforate this upper bottom 15 of the box, which bottom is usually a little behind the edge 13 of the box. The frame 8 has an extension 18 intended to provide a fulcrum when the arm 17 is actuated upwards.
The operation of the device described is as follows: the contents 6 of the screw-and-empty box being, for example, a lubricating oil for a motor vehicle. The tube 1 is introduced into the opening of the lubrication box of the car. The envelope is assumed to be empty, the rod 10 is held in the upper position by the weight of the arm 17.
The box 5 is introduced after having removed from its passage the part 12 which is brought back above it; the bottom 16 of the box then rests on the tip of the tool 4. The arm 17 is rotated upwards, which brings the tip of the tool 14 on board on the bottom 15. then we exerts a greater force on this arm 17, which causes the two tools to begin to penetrate into the bases 15 and 16.
The underside of part 12 meets edge 13 when tool 14 has entered and presses on the box so that it penetrates deeper into the casing and tool 4 enlarges the opening started at the bottom 16 A stream 7 of liquid then flows directly through the funnel-shaped part into the opening of the grease box and air enters through the opening in the bottom 15.
Tube 1 could be provided with a net valve; it could also be shaped so that it could be extended by a rubber hose.
The apparatus could not include mechanical means for pressing on the box, the latter being able to be pushed by hand and per drilled in the top by any means whatsoever. The envelope could, for example, have a collar or ears serving as a support for the hand for the pressure on the box.
