Container fitted with a device for delivering its contents in successive distinct doses. The present invention relates to a container provided with a device for delivering its contents in successive distinct doses; it is characterized in that said device comprises a circular chamber limited, on the one hand, by a solid cylindrical wall of the container and, on the other hand, by two flanges connected to one another, perpendicular to its axis and respectively pierced windows which are between the center and the edge, which are angularly distant from each other and which respectively give access to the container in said chamber and from this chamber to the outside,
in that this chamber is divided into compartments by at least two integral partitions extending from its center to its periphery, and in that the sets of said flanges and said partitions, of which at least one is provided with a gold maneuver gane, ceuvre, are movable one in relation to.
the other around the axis of the circular chamber, with the aim that, when the container is in a position such that the metering device is at the bottom, a relative angular movement of the two aforesaid assemblies, covering and uncovering a compartment on either side, gives rise to the filling of the uncovered compartment inside the receptacle and to the evacuation of the uncovered compartment on the outside.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view, FIG. 2, a view from below, FIG. 3, a section along III-III of FIG. 1, and fig. 4, a section along IV-IV of FIG. 3.
A container 1, of quadrangular section, has, near its bottom, a groove 2 by which it is mounted in a slide 3 of a support 4, so that it cannot rotate in this support.
A cover 5 is mounted on the neck of the container 1, the internal lugs 6 of which correspond to helical projections of the neck of the container, according to a known assembly device. The cover has a cylindrical part 7 which is smaller than that which adapts to the container, and to which it is connected by a flat part intended to be applied against the end of the neck of the container by means of a cork washer 17 .
The cylindrical part 7 of the cover limits the periphery of a circular chamber 25 which, on the other hand, delimit two flanges 10 and 11. These flanges are respectively pierced with windows 23 and 24, between the center and the edge and angularly distant from each other; these windows respectively give access to the container into said chamber and from this chamber to the outside. The chamber 25 is divided into four compartments by radial partitions formed by the wings 15 of a spider 14 integral with the cover 5.
The two flanges 10 and 11 are connected to each other by a shaft 8, of square section, which passes through them by square central holes in which it cannot rotate. This shaft is journaled in the hub of the spider 14 and has an extension inside the container. Part 9 of the shaft which rotates in the spider has rounded corners and carries, at its end, a washer 26 which is retained by a screw 12. The internal extension of the shaft ends with a screw 15 which tightens against a washer 14 a ring integral with a pallet 16.
Between the washer 14 and the flange 10 is disposed a compression spring 13 which has the effect of applying the two flanges against the edges of the wall 7 and of the partitions 15. A moderate friction is thus created, leaving the assembly of the flanges and of the shaft sufficient mobility.
The flange 11 has lugs 21 on the outside of the wall 7 on which a funnel 18 is fixed by means of the screws 20. These lugs serve at the same time as operating members.
The operation of the organs described is as follows. When the container contains, for example, a powdered material such as coffee, semolina, etc., or in small particles, such as tea, and is in a pot otherwise as in FIG. 1, where the dispensing device is at the bottom, the contents of the container can flow through the window 23 into the compartment of the chamber 25 which this window uncovers. By rotating the flanges 10 and 11 as well as the shaft 8 by a quarter of a turn, the compartment which was last filled by the window 23 is covered and another is discovered which fills up to his turn.
During the next quarter turn, carried out in the same direction for example, the window 24 is located below the compartment which was filled in the first place and delivers a first dose of material, the quantity of which is determined by the volume of the compartment. . It can be seen that by continuing to rotate the flanges relative to the cross member, each quarter turn, on the one hand, the filling of a compartment and, on the other hand, the evacuation of the compartment. diametrically opposed. The aim of the pallet 16 is to facilitate filling by pushing the contents of the container in front of it.
A spring 22 is mounted on the cover 7 so that the ends of the screws 20 lift it up and drop it at each quarter turn to signal each rotation of a quarter turn by the sound of the spring 22 striking the part 7. L The funnel 18 is intended to direct the discharged material towards the center.
The shaft 8 could pass through the container from one end to the other and exit through a hole in its upper base, and present, outside this base, an appropriate operating member.
It will be noted that only the relative movement of the flanges and of the spider being operative, the spider could be mobile and carry the operating member, while the flanges ques would be integral with the cover.
The spring 8 having the effect of applying the two flanges against the edges of the wall 7, a suitable lapping of the surfaces in contact would allow the container to contain liquids.
If there are only two compartments, a dose is delivered at each half-turn If there are 6, 7, 8 ..., a dose is delivered at each half-turn '/ ,, 1/7, 1/8 ....
The part of the cover which unites the parts 6 and 7 is preferably in the form of a funnel.
