Device for the protection of insulation points from forks influenced by high voltage In the main patent No. 153303 it was proposed to surround insulation points on electrical cables with a protective sleeve made of insulating pressed material and an example was described in which a flange is provided to transfer the mechanical tensile stresses to the sleeve body near each insertion point both with the cable armor,
as well as with the relevant lead jacket section is firmly a related party and is supported on an abutment in the sleeve. The abutment against which the flange is supported with tensile strength connected to the cable is arranged in this construction within the sleeve and is therefore only accessible when the sleeve is open. Furthermore, this type of support has the disadvantage that it takes up a relatively large amount of space, so that not only the diameter of the sleeve, but also the length of the sleeve are relatively large.
In many cases, especially in the case of underground cables, where the longest possible creepage distance between the lead sheath sections is desired, a large length of the insulating sleeve is advantageous, but there are numerous cases, for example in the case of cables laid in protected rooms, where one short insulating sleeve would fully serve its purpose.
According to the invention, the disadvantages mentioned in the main patent enclosed insulating sleeve are avoided, and it is a simple and cheap construction.
the insulating sleeve created by using conical metal end pieces to connect the insulating sleeve to the cable, the tapered ends of which are connected to the cable and the widened ends of which are connected to the insulating sleeve by means of cap nuts made of insulating material.
This achieves that the abutments for supporting the conical end pieces serving as support bodies are arranged outside the insulating sleeve body, so that the sleeve is significantly shorter than in the construction described in the main patent.
The end faces of the sleeve are expediently used as abutments for supporting the conical end pieces, so that any additional structural measures for forming the abutment are not required. The union nuts consist of insulating material have the advantage; that even with a relatively short design of the sleeve, a long creepage distance is guaranteed between the metal end pieces.
The insulating sleeve itself is expediently not made in two parts, but in one part. The one-piece design of the insulating sleeve is particularly advantageous for indoor cables, since with these cables there is usually the possibility of pushing the insulating sleeve from the cable ends to the installation point without cutting the cable cores.
The conical end pieces are expediently dimensioned so that the tapered end tightly encloses the cable sheath, possibly also the armouring, and can be connected to the cable with a solder bead or other means with tensile strength and at the same time airtight and watertight.
An advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention has the following features: The widened end of the conically formed end pieces is bent outwards so that a fastening edge is created with the aid of which the end pieces can be connected to the insulating sleeve.
To seal the insulating sleeve at the end faces, between the end face and the fastening edge of the flange, a dihingling ring, for example made of rubber, is placed, whose inner diameter expediently corresponds or at least approximately corresponds to the diameter of the lead jacket. to store the cable centrally, and also to seal the cable duct.
1 and 2, an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely FIG. 1 shows the insulating sleeve in a view and FIG. 2 shows the same in section.
The lead sheath of the cable 11 is interrupted at point 1.2. The interruption point is insulated by tape windings 1ä made of insulating materials. 14 is the protective sleeve made of pressed insulating material, 15 are the union nuts, also made of pressed insulating material, which are screwed onto the ends of the insulating sleeve 14 by means of threads 16.
17 are the conical end pieces made of metal, the tapered end of which is connected to the lead jacket by a soldering bead 1 $ with tensile strength, as well as airtight and watertight, and the extended end is bent outwards in such a way that a support edge 19 is created
which engages between the end face of the insulating sleeve and the pressure surface of the union nut and can thus be firmly screwed by screwing the union nut 15 onto the face of the insulating sleeve. Between the end face of the insulating sleeve and the fastening edge of a conical end piece, a support plate 20 and a rubber ring 21 is arranged in the drawn Ausführungsbei play.
The interior of the sleeve can be filled with an insulating compound in order to prevent moisture from penetrating and to ensure that the cable ends are firmly supported within the insulating sleeve.
