bleehanischer Bremsregler fiir Seilbahneu.
Fig. 1 zeigt einen Schnitt durch den
Bremsregler ;
Fig. 2 zeigt eine Ansicht von oben.
Bleehanischer brake controller for cable cars new.
The invention relates to a mechanical one
Brake regulator for cable cars and consists in the fact that at least one flywheel under the end of the centrifugal force on a
Spring presses, which acts on a brake shoe.
Overweight operated aerial cableways are usually equipped with a brake that is operated by hand, with the regulation of the speed corresponding to the
Brake operator is free. The fate of the entire system therefore depends on the reliability of the brakeman.
In order to remedy this drawback, so-called hydraulic brake regulators are often used, which limit the speed of the trolley of the aerial cableway for all loads. In contrast to this, the limitation of the speed is achieved in this scheme by the Erfiodung in a mechanical way.
The mechanical brake controller can also be used in aerial ropeways operated by motors, for example heat engines, that lead over mountains and valleys, and on funicular railways that are operated with overweight.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a section through the
Brake regulator;
Fig. 2 shows a view from above.
Arm b, which serves as a guide for Schwongk¯rper c, is firmly connected to shaft a, which is inclined at an angle a to the vertical. The springs d and g act on the brake shoe e, which generates friction on the brake rim f. h is a friction in body c, which is pressed against arm b by a spring. P is the weight of the flywheel c, Z the zirii arm b parallel component of the same and R the frictional resistance caused by the weight of the flywheel. 0 means the upper position of the flywheel c, U the lower.
The pulley of the train, not shown in the figure, can be fastened directly to the shaft a, or it can drive the shaft a via a transmission.
The mode of operation of the mechanical brake controller is as follows: When the shaft a rotates, the flywheel e is pressed by the centrifugal force against the spring d; this acts on the brake shoe e, which generates friction on the stationary brake rim. As the speed increases, the flywheel moves from its innermost position towards the outermost one, compressing the spring d accordingly, which increases the pressure of the brake shoe on the brake rim.
Because the radius of the center of gravity of the flywheel is not zero in the innermost position, a centrifugal force remains at the corresponding speed, which would exert pressure on the brake shoe; the spring g counteracts this pressure. It is dimensioned so strong that it generates an equally large counterpressure so that the braking pressure for the innermost position of the flywheel becomes zero.
If the shaft of the brake controller were perpendicular, the flywheel only starts moving when the rotational speed changes if the increase or decrease in the centrifugal force of the flywheel is greater than its frictional resistance R.
If the brake regulator shaft is inclined, a force Z occurs which pushes the flywheel inwards in position 0 and outwards in position U. The flywheel now moves inwards as a result of the decrease in speed; its own friction counteracts this movement, i.e. always outwards, but component Z changes its direction in relation to the axis of the brake controller. In the U position it adds to the friction of the flywheel and increases its resistance to movement to the amount B Zj. In the 0 position it counteracts the friction, which reduces the resistance to movement on B-Z.
As a result of an increase in speed, the flywheel moves outwards; its own friction now acts inwards, and it results analogously in the position U as movement resistance R-Z, in the position 0 on the other hand R + Z. For inward movement of the flywheel, its resistance to movement is reduced by the component Z in position 0, for outward movement in position U. The sensitivity of the control has become greater in these two positions.
The component Z increases with the angle a; In particular, if a equals the friction angle of the flywheel and thus R = Z, then in position 0 there is no resistance to the inward movement of the flywheel, in position U there is no resistance to the outward movement. The insensitivity of the control becomes zero and the flywheel is influenced by the smallest change in speed.
This state of perfect sensitivity lasts only for an infinitely short time; before and after the movement is opposed by a resistance which rises sinusoidally from zero to the maximum B + Z in order to decrease again to the zero value; permanent oscillations of the flywheel around its state of equilibrium are prevented.
If a is greater than the angle of friction of the swing body, then Z becomes greater than R; As a result of this excess force, the flywheel will experience an impulse in position 0 which pushes it inwards, in position U an impulse directed outwards. Under their influence, it will carry out vibrations that can lead to resonance phenomena and make the control unusable. In addition, as a result of the changing tension of the spring d, the brake pressure no longer remains constant, but fluctuates around an average value with each rotation, which can generate vibrations in the brake cable.
The friction element h in the flywheel serves to eliminate these disturbances. The additional friction it generates is expediently so great that the total frictional resistance of the flywheel is equal to component Z; the degree of insensitivity of the regulation then becomes zero.
The pressure of the spring 6! can be transmitted to the brake shoe by means of a transmission gear in order to generate greater brake pressures. The brake crane / 'can be equipped with water circulation for greater braking performance, which dissipates the heat.
In the case of brake controllers with several flyweights, the flywheels do not need to be connected to one another in any position of the brake axis; this enables the following advantages: a) a substantial simplification of the construction; b) The failure of one braking element does not prevent the others from working; the greatest possible security is therefore achieved.
If the brake controller shaft is inclined, the degree of insensitivity of the control is reduced according to the inclined position.
The brake controller and the pulley attached to it can then control the inclination of the
Take the rope, avoiding pulleys for the rope.
