Description

Timepiece. The object of the present invention is a timepiece, the dial of which is provided with a minute turn surrounding an annular window in which an indicator member rotates as well as a window where the hour digits appear. This timepiece is characterized in that said indicating member, which is located above the member carrying the hour digits, is at least partly transparent, so that it can pass in front of the aforementioned window. without hiding the number there.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.

The, fi ... 1 is a front elevational view; the. fig. 2 is a similar view, part in section; the thread-. 3 is a section through III-III of FIG. 1 and fig. 4 shows a detail on a larger scale.

The timepiece shown com carries a frame which comprises a frame 1, of rectangular shape, and a support 2. The frame 1 is fixed, by screws 1a, a plate 3 carrying a dust cover 4 which contains the movement 5.6 is the glass, which is held in the frame 1 by a second frame, 7 , carried by the plate 3. A layer of opaque paint 8, is applied against the inner face of the glass, and leaves transparent, on the one hand, a window 9, annular and concentric with the movement to make visible a minute hand 10, and, on the other hand, a window 11 where the hour digits appear.

The turn of minutes, 12, concentric with window 9, is siné on the glass. The hour digits are carried by a disc 13 which can rotate on an extension of the roadway. This disc is actuated by a mechanism which comprises a star wheel 14, of twelve teeth, carried by the disc, a jumper spring 15, and a small triangular-shaped plate 17, carried by the timer wheel 16.

The angles of this plate 17 cooperate with the toothing of there. wheel 14 to actuate the latter by a tooth every hour. The minute hand 10 moving between the glass and the disc 13 is made of a transparent material, for example celluloid, so that it can pass before the window 11 without hiding the hour number. that is there. The end of this needle which moves behind the window 9 is also covered with opaque paint.

The hour numerals should preferably be luminous, and the layer of opaque paint, forming the dial, dark in color; the inner face of the plate 3 which appears through the window 9 will, on the contrary, be of a light tone, for example white, to facilitate reading of the time.
