(fig.
La plaquette 29 est destinée à être en castrée dans la traverse inférieure 4 (fig. 12) du bâti encadrant les battants. Un évidement 36, pratiqué dans la partie inférieure du bat tant 7, permet d'y loger une lame flexible 37, fixée par des vis 38 au fond de l'évidement;
Locking device for two-leaf door. The object of the present invention is a locking device for a two-leaf door, characterized in that it comprises a movable member mounted on a part integral with the door frame, a member of which a part cooperates with one of the leaves. and the other part of which cooperates with the other leaf in such a way that one of the leaves immobilizes said member when the other is closed.
Figs. 1 to 14 of the accompanying drawing show; by way of example, three embodiments of the object of the invention; Figs. 1 to 5 show the different parts of the first embodiment, FIGS. 6 to 10 of the second embodiment, and FIGS. 11 to 14 of the third embodiment.
In the first embodiment, FIGS. 1 to 4 show a view and a sectional elevation of the central part of the locking device, which comprises a sleeve 1, terminated at its upper part by a glue 2, pierced with holes d allowing '' place screws there to fix it on the lower cross member 4 of the frame surrounding the leaves 7 and 8 ?, fig. 5, and against which come juxta pose the lower edges of said leaves.
The leaf 8 is provided with an ordinary lock and not with a cremone bolt, the bolt of which takes its fulcrum on the keeper fixed on the leaf 7.
The sleeve 1 is intended to be embedded in the cross member 4, so that the upper part of the collar comes to the level of the surface of said cross member.
In the recess of the sleeve 1 is placed a locking member 9 having a circular head and a rod, this member being able to tilt on a pivot 10, bearing on the circular wall of the sleeve 1. A coil spring 11 is placed. between said member and the circular wall so as to keep it constantly in the direction of the axis of the sleeve.
Metal parts 12 and 13 (fig.? And 3) are embedded respectively on the longitudinal sides of the leaves 7 and 8, and each has a recess 12 'and 13', which are shaped so as to roughly match the shape of the head of the locking member 9 (fig. 5).
The part 12 has a rounded part 14 intended to strike the head of the member 9. when the leaf 7 is closed, in order to d k, - place said member against the spring 11. Returning to its original position, the head of the locking member 9 engages in the recess 12 'and thus immobilizes the leaf 7, locked, to a certain extent, then necessary, to open the leaf, pull it towards itself with a certain force to move the organ 9 against its spring.
The leaf 7 being closed, the leaf 8 can also be closed; the head of the member 9 is then locked in the recesses 12 ', 13' (fig. 5), and it is possible to lock the leaf 8, of which the lock gene takes its fulcrum on the strike of the bat tant 7; the latter is at this time strongly immobilized by the locking member 9, which is prevented from moving against its spring 11, by the part 13.
To facilitate the introduction of the circular head of the member 9 into the recess 12 ', this head can be mounted freely on its rod so as to be able to rotate when the part 12 comes into contact with it.
The sleeve 1 offers the advantage of being able to be placed either at the top or at the bottom of the frame surrounding the doors; it suffices to orient it so that the member 9 is located on the side of the part 12.
In the second embodiment (fig. 6 to 10), the locking member comprises a frame 15, consisting of a sheet folded in the shape of an iron to U, which is covered with a plate 16 pierced with two holes 17, allowing the passage of locking members 18 and 19 which comprises a tilting part 20, bottom revolving around a pivot 21, fixed on the frame.
The locking finger 19 is constantly pushed back above the plate by a coil spring 22 (fig. 7), which rests under the part 20 and, on the other hand, on a support 23, provided with claws penetrating indif ferently into holes 24 of the frame or holes 25. This support is thus movable so that it can be placed at will on one side or the other of the pivot 21, so as to protrude constantly either the locking finger 18 or the finger 19 above the plate 16.
This peculiarity allows the locking device to be used interchangeably to place it above or below the doors and it can therefore operate on the right or on the left.
In an alternative embodiment (fig. 10), the spring 22 is a flexible blade which can be fixed by one end either in support grooves 28, 23 ', provided on each side of the frame 15.
The frame 15 is intended to be embedded in the cross member 4 of the frame flanking the door (fig. 10), on which the lower edges of the closed leaves 7 and 8 of a cabinet door are juxtaposed. A recess 24 is made in the lower edge of the leaf 7 to receive the locking finger 18. This recess is covered by a metal plate 25, pierced with a slot allowing said finger to pass, and is fixed by screws 26 to the leaf.
A plate 27 is fixed by screws 28 to the lower edge of the leaf 8, to strike and lower the finger 19 when the leaf 8 is closed.
The operation of this lock is as follows (fig. 10): @ the leaves being open, the finger 18 is located under the plate 16 by the effect of the spring 22; the leaf 7 can therefore be closed. By also closing the leaf 8 provided with a lock, the plate 27 lowers the finger 19, switches the arm 20 and engages the finger 18 in the recess 24 of the bat tant 7, immobilizing the latter on the gate 4. The gene for the lock of the leaf 8 can then take a point of support on the strike of the leaf 7.
By opening the leaf 8. the finger 18 is lowered and makes it possible to open the leaf 7. This second embodiment allows the two leaves to be closed at the same time; in this case, the tilting part 20 is lowered, so as to leave the pivot 21, and the two locking fingers 18 and 19 are found to be at the level of the plate 16 when the part 20 is in the horizontal position.
In the third embodiment. (Fig. 11 to 1.4), a plate 29 is pierced with two slots, intended to allow a portion of the locking fingers 31 and 32 to pass; these latter, roughly semi-circular in shape, are offset with respect to each other by 90, on the ends of a pivot 33, with which they are integral, this pivot being fixed under the plate 29 A coil spring 35, connected to the plate 29 and, on the other hand, to the finger 32, tends to hold. constantly the part 32 'of the finger 32 at the level of the plate 29, while the part 31' of the finger 31 is located above the level of the plate 29 '.
The plate 29 is intended to be castrated in the lower cross member 4 (FIG. 12) of the frame framing the leaves. A recess 36, made in the lower part of the bat tant 7, allows to accommodate a flexible blade 37, fixed by screws 38 to the bottom of the recess;
this blade is provided at its free end with a stop finger 39, having an inclined plane, intended for. strike and rise along part 31 'of finger 31, so as to lift spring 37 and come to be placed behind part 31' (fig. 11 and 12), which keeps leaf 7 closed in a certain way; to open this leaf, all you have to do is pull it towards yourself so that the finger 39 makes the part 31 'tilt against the res sort 17.
Under the lower edge of the leaf 8 is fixed a plate 40, by screws 41, this plate being intended to keep the part 32 'of the finger 32 lowered when the leaf 8 is closed.
The operation is as follows (fig. 12): The leaf 7 being closed and immobilized by the part 31 'of the finger 31, it suffices to close the leaf 8, the plate 40 of which is juxtaposed with the part 32' of the finger 32 , which has the effect of immobilizing the fingers 31 and 32. The gene for the lock of the leaf 8 can thus be supported on the keeper of the immobilized leaf 7.
When opening leaf 8, finger 3? is made free, so that the leaf 7 can also be opened.
It may happen that the two leaves are closed at the same time; in this case, the finger 39 can rise by its inclined plane on the rounded part 31 'of the finger 31.
