Elektrisches Schlagwerk.

Electric hammer mechanism. The invention relates to an electric percussion mechanism, which, for example, for hammers, percussion tools for drilling, cutting, chiselling, riveting, devices for other processing of metal, stone, concrete and the like, to tamping railway sleepers, for tamping earth and other substances etc. can serve.
This electric hammer mechanism is based on the fact that a field winding is arranged at a distance from a reciprocating core of the hammer mechanism, so that there is a channel in between for a coolant to be fed to the hammer mechanism.
A portable control box can be assigned to the hammer mechanism, which can be switched on between an electrical power system and the hammer mechanism.
Furthermore, an electrically driven pump can be provided for: the coolant, the drive electric motor of which is either controlled by a .Switch, which only causes the pump to work when the hammer mechanism is functioning, or by a switch through which the continuous drive of the pump is effected.
Furthermore, a control unit or a switch box can be provided, in which an electrical valve arrangement and an air pump with drive motor are housed, and on which one element of an electrical and air line coupling is mounted, which forms one end of an air hose to which Schlagwerk leading lines are assigned.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention .des; Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the electric hammer mechanism;

In the drawing, 1 denotes a tubular guide part made of metal, for example brass or bronze or light metal alloy, for example an aluminum alloy. On the outside of part 1 there are lamella groups 2, 3 and 4 distributed around the circumference and resting against the outside surface of part 1, which are preferably made of silicon steel and have parts extending axially and radially.
The latter lie down towards the inner wall of the outer housing 5 or extend as far as: close to this inner wall. The outer housing 5 consists of magnetizable material and is essentially closed off from the external atmosphere.
The axially extending parts ider lamellas be sitting pole tips 6, 7, 8 and 9, which protrude through openings ides part 1. These pole tips are preferably hardened by any suitable method, for example case hardening, a distance of 2.4 mm (3½ ") back from the inside edges.
At the inner edges they are preferably ground flush with the inner surface of the guide part 1, which is preferably ground at the same time with Iden Kauten ge, so tlass a precisely elaborated bearing for the reciprocating core part 10 is made of magnetizable material. At the ends of this core, the parts 11 are attached to non-magnetic shock-resistant material, for example stellite or the like, by welding or other fastening.
The hardened pole tips form a hard wearing surface, which increases the service life of the motor or hammer up to three times; The extremely precise elaboration of the bearing for the core 10 also increases the useful power of the hammer considerably, usually up to 30%.
The tightening wedges 12, which are held on idem guide part 1 by screws 13, place their inclined edges against the inclined edges of the axially adjacent lamella groups, and brace them with the guide part 1. Around the lamellae and theirs The current coils or motor windings 14 and 15 run around tension parts.
The ring nuts are on the outer ends of the guide part 1. 1-6 are screwed, the slightly beveled ends of which lie against the outer lamella groups. The lamellae, the windings 14 and 15 and the Füh tion part 1 form a structural unit which can be assembled as such before the introduction into the housing 5.
The housings 17 and 18, which form the rear end or handle part 17 and the front end part 18, are pulled together by bolts 19 (FIGS. 2 and 5) and thereby the housing 5 and the magnetic field lie against the outer ends of the housing 5 clamp the unit between you.
During its forward stroke, the core 10 strikes the end or the shaft 20 of a tool 21, which is only partially shown. The shaft 20 sits in a sleeve 22, which with a shoulder lies against the left end of the guide part 1 (FIG. 1) and through the hub 23 of the tail part 18 is centered, which puts a shoulder against the courage ter 16.
The bushing 24 projects into the other end of the guide part 1, the flange 25 of which rests against the ends of the guide part 1 and the nut 16. In the sleeve 24, the baffle part 26 is arranged, the spring 27 and the spring plates 27a counteract the side Emden of the bolts 19 on the return stroke of the core. The spring 27 sits in the chamber 28 provided with air holes 28a.
The closure part 17 is provided with a transversely extending tubular Ilaud handle part 29, next to which the switch lever 30 which controls the switching elements 31 and can be actuated by the fingers is seated. The part 17 has the inclined hollow part 32, to the free end of which a flexible air hose 33 is connected. The various power lines which are connected to the switch 31 and the windings 14, 15 go through this.
Air is fed through the hose 33 into the interior of the part 32 of the annular collection chamber 34 of the part 17. From the chamber 34, the air passes through the spaces 35 between the lamella groups 2 (Fig. 2), through the channels 36 between the winding 14 and the housing 5, i.e. through the spaces between the outer ends of the lamella groups 4,
through the channels 37 between tween the winding 15 and the housing 5 and through the spaces between the outer ends of the lamella groups 3 in the ring-shaped chamber 38 of the end part 18 and from there through the openings 39 to the outer atmosphere. From the spaces 35 (Fig. 2) between the lamella groups 2, air also flows through the channels 36a (Fig. 4 and 3) between the winding 14 and the guide part 1, through the spaces between the lamella groups 4,
through the channels 36a corresponding channels between the Wick development 15 and the guide part 1 and the spaces between the groups of lamellae 3 in the chamber 38 and from üa to the outer atmosphere.
So there are air ducts and air flows both outside and inside the windings 14 and 15, and there is no cooling air in or through the drum or the tubular part 1, in which lubricant material for the core part 10 can be seen easily, which is on the hardened Point pole and, the guide part 1 rests.
The guide part 1 can be closed over its entire length Sam circumference, although eddy current losses then arise in it. These can be reduced by using a material with a high specific resistance for part 1. The guide part 1 preferably has between the pole tips 6 and 7 and between the pole tips 8 and 9 in the circumferential direction spaced longitudinal slots 40 (FIG. 6) in order to reduce the eddy current losses.
These slots would allow cooling air to enter the guide part 1. To prevent this, the guide part 1 is outside and in the circumferential direction with cords or strings 41, wrapped with tape, fabric or the like, which isolate the interior of the guide part 1 from the cooling air ducts and via the slits 40 la-i- the escape of lubricating material from the guide part, as well as the entry of dust and the like contained in the cooling air in the guide part prevent.
According to FIG. 7, the slots 40 can also be filled with a non-conducting material 42, preferably a material which: is not influenced by the lubricant in the guide part 1. In FIG. 8 the conductors 43 and 44 symbolize any suitable source of alternating current of suitable frequency, for example from the frequencies 25 to 60 per second of the usual lighting and work circuits.
In the illustrated embodiment, the power source is an alternating current generator G, which has a field-exciting generator and is driven by a motor E, for example an internal combustion engine, an electric motor or the like, and together with it forms a portable power unit.
The generator G. is, for example, a seven-phase generator, the brushes of which are connected to the lines 43 and 44. One. A system similar to this system can also be operated by connecting lines 43 and 47 or another phase to brushes 45 and 48.
V and V 'denote electrical valves which, in the embodiment shown, are thermionic and each have an anode a and a thread or a cathode f'.
A 1Vie.dersvoltage transformer T is connected with its primary winding to the lines 43 and 44, its secondary windings are in the circuit of the cathodes f, which are caused by the current flowing through them. Glow who brought the.
The line 43 is connected to the cathode f of the tube V and to the anode a (of the tube PI. The line 44 is connected to the contact or terminal 49 of the air and electrical connection sleeve A, which is also connected to the contacts 50 , 51 and 52. The anode a of the tube V is connected to the Odem contact 50 and the cathode f of the tube V 'is connected to the contact 51. The line 43 is connected to one terminal of the electric motor H, which an armature b and a field winding c has.
The other terminal of the motor is connected to the switch d, which in the position according to FIG. 8 connects the motor to the contact 52 and in the other position directly to the line 44 via the contact e. A plug B of the hose 33 can be attached to the socket A by means of a bayonet lock connection in a certain position relative to the socket.
It carries the contacts 49a, 50a, 51a, 52a, which interact with the contacts 49, 50, 51 and 52 of the sleeve. At the other end of the hose 33 sits a plug B1, which by means of a bayonet lock can be brought into engagement with the sleeve A 'of the housing or handle part 17 of the striking mechanism.
The: plug contacts 49a, 50a, 51a and 52a are through the. Lines 49e, 50e, 51c and 62e running through the tube 33 are connected to the contacts 49b, 50b, 51b and 52h of the plug B1. In the sleeve A 'sit the contacts 49d, 50d, 51.d and 52d, which engage with the contacts 49b, 50b, 51b and 52b. The contact 49d is connected to one end of the switch 31, the contact 50d to one end of the hammer winding 14, and the contact 51d to one end of the hammer winding 15.
The other ends of the windings 14 and 15 are connected to the other end of the barren switch 31 and to the contact 52d.
When the finger switch 31 is closed and the line 43 is positive, the current flows from this line to the anode a, and to the cathode f of the tube V 'and from there via the contacts 51, 51a, the line 51c, the contacts 51b, 51d, the winding 15, the switch 31, the contacts 49d, 49b, the line 49e, the contacts 49a and 49 to the line 44, whereby the coil 15 is excited and a forward stroke of the core 10 is caused so that, this strikes against the tool shaft 20.
If the switch 31 is closed and the line 44 is positive, the current flows via the contact 49, the intermediate contacts and intermediate lines through the switch 31 and the winding 14 to the contact 50d and from cla to the contact 50 and via the anode a and the contacts f of the tube V to the line 43, so that: the winding 14 is excited and a return stroke of the core 10 is caused.
The windings 14 and 15 are alternately excited and cause a rapid sequence of strokes of the core 10 as long as the switch 31 remains closed.
The motor i11 drives the air pump P, which drives the air through the socket A, the plug B, the hose 33, the plug B1, the socket A 'and the air ducts of the electric hammer mechanism.
When the switch d is in the position shown, the motor is: EI controlled by the finger switch 31 .des Schlagwer kes; At the same time, the "switch 31" controls the output of current through the electrical valves to the windings 14 and 15. If the switch d is switched to the contact e, the motor ill and the pump P run continuously and independently of the switch 31.
The pump P can be of any suitable type, but is preferably a rotating or centrifugal pump. It can compress atmospheric air and push it through the hose and the air ducts of the hammer mechanism, or the sleeve .4 can be connected to the suction end, the pump, in which case air is drawn in from the outside atmosphere through the openings 39 and through the Air ducts of the hammer mechanism, the hose and the socket A into the inlet of the pump P (is conveyed.
As indicated in Fig. 8, the hammer mechanism, preferably with an air and electrical connection sleeve A1 see ver, which is able to take the air and electrical connection plug B 'of the hose. According to FIG. 1, however, the hose can be fastened directly to the pipe or line 32 and the electrical lines passing through it can be connected directly to the. Housing or the handle part 17 housed connection terminals 7nen are connected.
The hose 33 can be of any suitable type, but is preferably an armored hose. It can, for example, consist of inner and outer layers of a rubber-like material, between which metallic armoring or reinforcement can be arranged.
The lines 49c-52c can be embedded in the wall of the hose 33 or protrude freely through the hose bore. In any case, these lines are longer than, the hose or the hose bore, so that they are not placed under significant 'tension' when the hose is twisted, bent or 'wound', and especially when it stretches or increases in length, which is usually the case after a certain period of use.
The valves V, V1, the motor M, the pump P and the transformer T can be stored anywhere, but they are preferably combined into a portable unit within a switch box 53, which is provided with a handle 55, as shown in FIGS removable cover 54 has.
On the one side wall of the box 53, a sleeve 56 is attached, into which a plug can be inserted, with which the operating lines 43 and 44 are connected. A plate 58 made of insulating material is attached to the pin 57, on which the fuse 59 'is mounted, through which the current is fed to the transformer T, the valves V, V' and the motor M. On the bottom of the box 53 'the transformer T' and the sleeves 60 or valves V and V- are attached.
The sleeve A is mounted on a side wall of the box and runs partly inside, partly outside the box.
The outlet channel 61 of the pump P is connected to the socket A. At a suitable point 62 a hole is provided which allows part of the pumped air to exit into: the interior of the box for the purpose of cooling. In a side wall of the box next to the inlet of the pump P, openings 63 are provided for the entry of air to the pump. The air flows through a cleaning or cleaning device not shown in the drawing.
In another side wall openings 64 are provided which allow the exit of the cooling air entering from the opening 62 in the box. The motor M is supported by the Bader pump P on the bathing side of the box 53; its armature shaft is directly coupled to the paddle wheel of the P pump.
According to FIG. 11, the hammer mechanism 66 has a trotable power plant which has an alternating current generator 67, a small exciter generator 68 for exciting the field winding 69 of the generator 67, a fan 70, one of the main components shown for simplicity as a combustion engine. engine 71 and a control box 72.
The electrical energy of the generator 67 and the air flow (of the fan 70 are fed to the control or switch box 72, which has a device for controlling the hammer mechanism 66.
The electrical energy and the air flow are sent to the striking mechanism. 66 forwarded through a line device, for example through a cable 73, which is provided with a plug connection 74, which enables the convenient connection to the box 72.
In the box 72 (as illustrated in Fig. 12 in the diagram) two lines 75, 76 going out from the generator 67, a transformer 77, two electrical valves V, V 'of the type already described and a' switch 78 are provided.
The 3ch'lagwerk has the two field or work windings 79 and 80, which are alternately controlled by the valves V and V 'in order to initiate the synchronous reciprocating movement of the core 81 and to cause it periodically hits against a tool 82 which is unsuitable in terms of its nature and execution of the work to be done.
The striking mechanism 66 is provided with a handle 83 and a finger switch 84, which controls the current output to the winding 79 and 80. The transformer 7 7 supplies power for heating the threads f of the valves V and V ', which are provided with the anodes a. Closing the switch 84 causes the electromagnetic switch 78 in the switch box 72 to close and the anode of the valve V and the thread of the valve V1 to be connected to the line 76.
Since one end of each winding 79 and 80 is connected to the line 75, the windings are alternately excited by their control valves.
The fan 70 sends an air stream through the windings 79 and 80 of the threshing device 66 and around the windings. This flow of air prevents excessively high temperatures from developing. The air can be given through the bore 82a of the tool 82 from the hammer mechanism @ 66, namely at a point adjacent to the tool tip, so that it serves to remove the material cut off or removed by the tool.
According to FIG. 13, four electrical lines 85, 86, 87 and 88 are provided inside the flexible rubber hose 73, which connect the windings and the holder of the hammer mechanism 66 to the control apparatus in the box 72. The air flow is passed on by the fan 70 via the central hose bore 89. The hose 73 can be provided with an outer spiral wound armor or reinforcement 73a made of wire or strip-shaped mate rial.
According to FIG. 14, the air-electric coupling has the connecting piece 74, which is provided with a plurality of contact tips 90 to which the various lines 85-88 are connected. The end of the hose sits in an opening of the plug 74 and is held firmly on the plug 74 by a clamping sleeve and an adjusting screw 92. A short, stiff tube 93 made of metal or mica sits partly in the end of the hose 73 and is firmly clamped to it by the sleeve 91 and the screw 92.
A sleeve 94 for receiving the plug 74 has a foot 95 which is fastened by bolts 96 on the outside of a wall of the box 72. Several contact springs 97 are seated on the foot 95, against which the contact pins 90 rest. These contact springs 97 are insulated from each other and ruled out to the appropriate points of the circuit within the box 72. Directly behind the contact springs, a bearing 98 is arranged in the box 72, which is able to accommodate the tube 93 and to establish a tight connection for forwarding the air supplied to the hose 73 by the fan 70.
The part 98 be seated a pipe 99 which runs from the fan 70 to the box 72, a ring or disc 100 made of flexible material and a housing 101 which encloses the ring and carries it. A guide 102 forms part of the housing 101 and guides the tube 93 so that it lies against the resilient ring 100. The Ge of the housing 101 and the ring 100 shown is seated directly behind the contact springs 97 on brackets 103 which are fastened by the bolts 96.
In an impact mechanism ider in Fig. 1 is the type provided, the air cooling is of extraordinary advantage as the ratio of the weight of the impact mechanism to its power or the work done on the tool 21 is reduced to less than 50% while the temperature rises tion is limited to 50 C or less. This improved weight to force ratio is practically that of compressed air powered reciprocating motors or hammers.
Air with a relatively low pressure can be used. The air supplied through the vent channel 32 of the hammer mechanism can be on the order of one pound per square inch and is generally on the order of? #Q pounds per square inch or less.
The cross-section and the length of the coolant channels within the striking mechanism are of the kind that with: these pressures. One cubic foot of atmospheric pressure per minute is needed for 30 to 35 watts each, which are lost in the winding and in the field of the motor through conversion into 'V # @ heat.
If the tool driven by the Sehlabwerk is a drill and you want to remove material from the hole by the cooling air emitted from the hammer mechanism, for example in the case of an arrangement according to the type of FIGS. 11 and 15, the pressure of the dem Depending on the depth of the hole or the type of material to be removed, the air supplied to the hammer mechanism can be on the order of 400 grams to 1.2 kg per cm '(5-15 pounds per square inch).
