P206 an nähernd 1 Mol.
Process for the production of a fertilizer. In Swiss patent no. 120815 a process for the production of a phosphorus fertilizer is described in wel chem mineral phosphorites in a mixture with a potassium salt in the presence of lime, silica and water vapor at least 900 annealed.
The quantitative proportions are calculated in such a way that in the mixture to be glowed there are approximately 1 mol of potassium oxide and at least 1 mol of silicic acid for 1 mol of P206 and for 1 mol of silicic acid such amounts of Ca0 are present that potassium calcium phosphate and calcium orthosilicate are present form.
It has now been found that potassium chloride is particularly suitable as a potassium carrier for carrying out the process and that the latter is therefore significantly more economical and technically useful. In addition, potassium chloride is a relatively cheap product, and its use in the present process is very advantageous.
In the latter case, the phosphates are treated with potassium chloride under the conditions specified in Swiss patent no. <B> 120815 </B>, i.e. the phosphorites are mixed with potassium chloride in the presence of lime, silica and water vapor at at least <B > 900 '</B> annealed, - where the proportions are measured in such a way that
that in the mixture to be glowed there are approximately 1 mole of potassium oxide and at least 1 mole of silica per mole of P206 and such amounts of Ca0 to 1 mole of silicic acid that potassium calcium phosphate and calcium orthosilicate are formed, with the amounts contained in the phosphorites of aluminum and iron oxide,
which act in the same way as the silica are taken into account.
As in the process of the above-mentioned patent, hydrogen-containing fuels are used to heat the mixture, which form larger amounts of water vapor when they are burned, so that a special addition of water vapor is generally not necessary.
