Drive device for typewriters. The subject matter of the invention is a mechanical drive device for typing calculating machines, which is kept in constant readiness for instantaneous power output to the calculating machine transmission by external power supply.
It has already been proposed to drive typing computing machines, an energy storage device between the masses to be driven and a drive smotox, eg. B. to switch on an electric motor fed from a power line network, with a band spring being used for Aufspei cherung and delivery .der force to the computing machine transmission.
Compared to .diesen known drive devices, the invention aims to solve the task of training the energy storage device to achieve the highest possible force absorption and delivery, to secure it with its gear against any external influence and to connect it to the drive motor in an easily detachable manner - And switching off the engine automatically from the energy storage device he can follow.
To solve this problem, the energy storage device and the associated gearbox are used for supplying and releasing the force and housed in a closed housing in which all the \ files in 01 can run. This tubular housing is extended to accommodate the electric motor, which is pushed into the housing and secured in its position, for example by a bayonet-like lock, and connected to the energy storage mechanism by a simple coupling.
The invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the drawings, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical cross section, FIG. 2 shows the bayonet lock, FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows the switch when the current is interrupted,

When the switch is held in place (FIGS. 4 and 10), the switch strip spring 38 is continuously wound up. To avoid overstressing, the outer spring coil is provided with a rivet head, while the inner circumference of the switch housing 52 has corresponding notches.
In the event of over-tensioning, the outer diameter of the ferrule is reduced by twisting it together, so that the rivet head can jump out of its latching position and cause a tension reduction by snapping into one of the next rims. In this way, the switch drive spring 38 is always kept at a constant tension by the drive.
Any external storm source is connected to the Netzklemnmün 68 and 69 (Fig. 5). The terminal 68 is directly connected to one power supply spring 49a, while a line goes from the terminal 69 to the lower contact spring 48 (FIG. 3) of the rotary switch.
The upper contact spring 48, which is isolated from the stere, is connected by (lio line 57 with the current connection spring 491) (FIG. 5). towards the rotary switch, the steep position is regulated by the drive mechanism 5, opens and closes the power fence automatically as required. The rotary switch 39 here consists of three switch blades 55, which are fastened to the switch shaft 53 by means of insulating washers, and of the two contact springs 48.
The position of the switch blades 55 is regulated by a locking star 54 with three locking teeth that is fixed on the switch shaft 53 and that works together with the spur shaft head protruding from the drive housing. In the present example two such locking shaft heads 40, 43 are provided. The locking shaft end 40 is connected to the elevator part of the drive mechanism, as already described, so it only rotates when the A.ntriebs.motor is in operation.
The other locking shaft head, 43, is connected to the expiring part of the drive mechanism, the] energy store. The catfish 42 of the locking shaft head 43 is stuck on her by the worm wheel 41; which through the worm 24 and the pinion 23 .mit the wheel 22 is in engagement (Fig. 1, 2 and 8) rotated.
As already described, the shaft 53 of the rotary switch receives a torsional tension through the band spring 38, which is limited by the application of the locking teeth 54 as the locking shaft heads. In Figs. 3 and 4, the individual limit positions of the locking star are drawn.
In the. In position FIG. 3, a ratchet tooth rests on the ratchet shaft head 43, while the sound meter 55 is located outside of the contacts 48. The drive motor is switched off.
If the arithmetic unit is used, a rotating locking shaft 42 respectively is generated by the running main drive spring 20. their locking shaft head 48 take place in the direction of the arrow; the ratchet tooth 54 resting on the outside of the ratchet shaft head 43 finally slides into the slot of the ratchet shaft head 43 and moves with the rotating shaft up to the position according to FIG. 3a.
At this moment, the locking shaft head 43 can no longer slide the locking tooth 54 back, and the action of the spring 38 rotates the switch shaft 53 and with it the locking star 54 until the locking tooth 54 rests on the locking shaft head 40 .Stops (Fig. 3b and 4). At the same time, the switch body has closed the circuit between the two contact springs 48 with one of its knives 55 and, when the electric motor is switched on, causes the main drive spring 16, 20 to open.
With this pulling up of the drive mechanism a rotation of the locking shaft 35 takes place at the same time. The locking tooth 5 4 pushes into the slot of the locking head 40 and moves with the rotating locking head 40 to the position of FIG. 3c. The ratchet 54 can now no longer be held by the ratchet head 40, and by the action of the spring 38 - the switch shaft 53 and with her .der ratchet 54 - rotated until the previous ratchet 51 on the lock shaft head 43 hits.
Here, the switch is torn out of the contact springs and the current of the motor 5 is interrupted.
The locking shaft 35 remains when the engine is also in rest position and retains the locking head position; at how the fib. 3 and 3c show while the locking shaft 42 rotates clockwise depending on the use of the arithmetic unit. Since the locking shaft 35 rotates significantly faster than the locking shaft 42, some time will always elapse when the power is switched on.
In any case, the ratchet tooth with the corresponding ratchet head must perform a small turn until it can protrude further.
To prevent the engine from running down completely, the main engine spring is blocked. This blocking is occupied by the active switch if, in the event of an interruption in the external power supply, the switch @ is permanently in the held position (Fig. 4) while the calculator continues to be used.
At the same time, the blocking of the engine is indicated by a signal.
On a shaft 44 (Fig. 2) a locking tooth 46 is attached, which can fall into a groove 56 (Fib. 6, 7) of the main spring housing 21 to shut off the engine. The shut-off is determined by pins 52 = i provided on the switch housing 52, which are on a lever:
47 act, which sits loosely on the - \ Velle 44, is pressed by a spring 44z against one of the pins 52a and is connected to the lever 46 in such a way that by lifting the lever 47 by a pin 52a, the lever 46 of the main spring container use 21 is lifted (Fig. 7), but on the other hand when the lever 47 is released by one of the pins 52,
1 the lever 46 rests against the main spring housing 21 and falls into the NTUt 56 of this housing in order to see the housing rotated accordingly. The device described works in the following way:
It is assumed that in the drive mechanism at the beginning of the use of the Udechenmaschine the band springs 16, 20 as well as the rotary switch spring 38 are tensioned and the rotary switch shows the position of FIG. 3, i.e. the motor connected to any power supply 5 is off.
If the calculating machine draws power through the shaft 31, the gears 30, 29, 27, 26, 23 and 22, the locking shaft 42 is simultaneously generated by the worm 24 connected to the gear 23, the worm wheel 41 and the lock shaft head 43 rotated. The quake this head abutting locking tooth 54 occurs gradually Lich, as previously described, in the slot of the locking shaft head 43 and moves with this until it is released from the locking shaft head 43.
The released rotary switch then rotates under the I ', influss of its spring 38 until the tooth preceding the ratchet tooth mentioned strikes the locking shaft head 40, ie the position Fib. 3b and 4 results. Finally, one of the switch blades 55 has stepped between the switch springs 48, the circuit of the drive motor 5 is closed in the manner described above, and the motor 5 begins to run.
The motor drives the worm 11 through the clutch 10, which is in engagement with the snake gear 12, so that the coil springs are formed by the spur gears 13 and 14 being shaken together. 16 and 20 are stretched. At the same time, the spur gear 14 drives .las gear 32 and the worm 33 verbun with it, which the latter rotates through the worm wheel 34, the locking shaft 35 with the locking head 40 in rotation.
The slotted> locking head 40, like the locking head 43 before, finally lets the locking tooth 54 of the rotary switch that lie against it elieii. so that the rotary switch, under the influence of its spring 38, which is wound up by the gears 36, 37 when the locking shaft 35 rotates, rotates until the tooth 54 preceding the aforementioned Shcrrzalin hits the locking head 43 again. The rotary switch then shows the position of FIGS. 3 and 3a again.
As one of the two band springs connected in series absorbs the force supplied while the second releases it, the entire gear unit gains in simplicity and clarity considerably. Fer ner, the power supply is here fully men automatically regulated by the gearbox of the energy storage device, so that the current, respectively. Power-emitting part of the gear unit interrupts the power supply.
If the motor fails or does not receive any power, then, as mentioned above, a complete running of the spring mechanism is prevented, with the aid of the two levers 46, 47 located on the shaft 44 and connected to one another by the spring 41a Shaft 44 still carries the signal disk 45, which tries to rotate the shaft 44 with its weight so that the lever 46 lies against the circumference of the spring housing 21.
As mentioned, the lever 47 is influenced by the pins 52a on the rotary switch spring housing 52. The rotary switch has three ratchet teeth 54, one of which always strikes against one of the locking bodies 40 or 43 after a six-turn of the rotary switch. The rotary switch housing 52 carries (Füg. 6, 7 and 9) three pins 52a; it follows that for every complete revolution of the rotary switch, the lever 47 has been raised three times by a pin 52a and has assumed a horizontal position three times in between.
The pins 52a are now attached to their spring housing 52 so that the lever 47 is raised. when the engine is switched on (Fig. 7), and falls down when it is switched off (Fig. 6 and 10).
When the motor is switched on, the lever 46, which is connected to the lever 47 in the manner described above, lies against the spring drum 21 from the outside (fug. 10), so that the signal flag 45 sitting with it on the same shaft 44 does not pass through the opening 3 becomes visible.
\ If the external power supply is interrupted in this position of the parts, i.e. with the motor switched on, the drum 21 rotates further as power is drawn from the spring mechanism until its cutout 56 coincides with the lever 46, so that this one snaps and. the Federtroim.mel 21 blocks:
Then it is impossible to take any further power from the spring mechanism; at the same time the signal flag 45 is swung in front of the openings 3 and indicates the fault.
If the external power supply is interrupted when the motor is switched off (FIGS. 3 and 7), but the lever 47 is still raised, the axis 44 is rotated and the lever 46 is held outside the area of the groove 56 of the spring drum 21, then When further power is drawn from the spring mechanism, the locking shaft head 43 is rotated in the manner described above until it allows the locking tooth 54 of the rotary switch to pass through, so that the rotary switch is in the position of FIGS. 3b, 6, 4 and 10.
The lever 46 places itself on the spring drum 21, and this is finally blocked in the manner just described ge with further power extraction.
