Abstract
Description
WO 97/08011 PCT ~ R96 / 01318 -- AUTOMOTIVE CHILD SEAT
The present invention relates to a child car seat.
For safety reasons, young children travel in seats cars which are adapted to their size, and which are themselves fixed on the seat 5 rear of a motor vehicle.
A child car seat co ... plel ~ d gener ~ lçm ~ nt a resting base on the seat of the banqllettç, and a shell, mounted on this base and intended ~ e to receive the child. The car seat is fixed to the seat, either using straps mounted on fixedly on the vehicle, either using one of the rear seat belts of the 1 0 vehicle.
In order to improve the comfort of the child, depending on whether he is sleeping or not, or depending on its size, the shell is mounted on the base with a possibility of inclination ~ icon for allow the child to be either seated or lying down.
To achieve the incline ~ icon of the shell relative to the seat, it is known to 15 mount the shell on the seat by means of two compli slides.
sliding one into the other with the possibility of blocking in di ~ e. ~ An ~ ires positions.
One part of the slide is fixed on the base and the other part of this is fixed on shell. This slide is arranged in the median plane longihl ~ in ~ l of the shell.
Besides the fact that this solution requires the implementation of a plurality of 20 pieces, it has the disadvantage that the shell and the base are only joined at the level of their median plane lengthens ~ l ~ 1in ~ 1 so that there is a couple of lateral b ~ cculrmrnt when efforts are exerted on the hull. In the long run, this lateral tilting torque may result in deterioration of the assembly. In addition, the increase in the number of parts translates into a high cost price, and requires a large workforce 25 to carry out the assembly of di ~ é, ~ es parts.
The object of the invention is to provide a car seat for children, which is either simple design, that is to say in which the number of parts is limited, which is a bet very practical for the parents of the child, not ~ mmrnt allowing adjustments simple and fast, and that is of a low cost price.
For this purpose, the child car seat it concerns, of the type co ""), e, the "l a base cl ~ stin ~ e to be mounted on the seat of a vehicle seat or bench, and a shell mounted on the base with the possibility of adjusting the intrin ~ icon is characterized by what:
- the base on the one hand and the shell on the other hand are made of synthetic material 35 molded by a blowing technique, The base has a central upper surface and the curve which, centered on an axis located above the base and oriented transversely thereto, is - ~ lateral PI ~ lçm ~ nt by two flanges each having a groove or a rib opening in its face opposite the other edge, - The shell has, on its underside, at least two lateral pads of same curvature as the upper surface of the çmh ~ ee, intended ~ s to bear on this 5 surface, each shoe having a rib or a groove on the side of its outer face, Png ~ ée in the groove or in the rib of the rim co-, espolldant of the base, - means are provided for blocking the shell on the Pmh ~ ee, in di ~ élenles positions co ~ eement of the skids of the hull on the upper face of the base.
According to an embodiment:
- the base on the one hand and the shell on the other hand are made of synthetic material molded by a soil technique ~ ffl ~ ge, - the base has a central upper surface and longitu (lin ~ the curve which, centered on an axis located above the base and oriented transversely thereto, is 15 dPlimitée later ~ l ~ m ~ nt by two flanges each having a groove opening into its facing the other ledge, - the hull has, on its underside, two lateral pads of the same curvature that the upper surface of the emhaee, ~ ballast to bear on this surface, each shoe comprising a rib dep ~ ee ~ nt of its outer face, engaged in the 20 groove in the corresponding rim of the base, - Means are provided for blocking the shell on llemhae ~ J in di ~ re..the positions of collliesem ~ nt of the skids of the hull on the upper face of the emh ~ ee.
A first characteristic i ~ .linteresta..Le of this seat is that its p-; ilc; p ~
~ l-om ~ nte cnnetit ~ 1tife: the base and the shell, integrate the mounting means of the shell on the base with adjustment of the incline ~ ieon in the desired position. Another advantage is that the ~ ge surface of the shell on the base is large, and that the bearing surfaces are laterally arranged, which is favorable because crazy - issa-.l at the seat excellent reeiet ~ nce to the side requests.
Av ~ nt ~ gelleemPnt the underside of each groove of a flange of the base is formed by the upper surface of the ~ mh ~ ee, while the lower surface of each rib of a skid of the shell is conctit ~ ed by the underside of the skate. Therefore, the grooves of the edges of the base and the skids of the shell are obtained simply, and their contact surfaces are important, which is a guarantee of improvement in their r ~ Ciet ~ n ~ e According to another characteristic of the invention, the means for blocking the shell on the base are conetituec on the one hand by transverse notches offsetéslongitll ~ lin ~ lement relative to each other and opening into the upper face of WO 97/08011 PCT ~ FR96 / 01318 edges of the ~ mh ~ ce, and on the other hand by two longitu rods ~ 1in ~ them, joined by a handle and arranged in the central space dPlimited by the two skids of the con shell, pollute rhzlclln ~ s ~ lccçssivement a first transverse part fo, ll.a ,. ~ a hinge pin mounted ~ in a bearing co ~ e ~, undulating at the crossing of a skid of the hull, a forward return and 5 a second transverse part fo ~ anl a locking finger, intended to be engaged in a transverse notch of a rim of the ~ n ~ b ~ ce, the rods being ground-put to the action of means ~ cti ~ es tending to make b ~ cc ~ r the handle down.
The obvious ~ m ~ nt mPn ~ P. in the underside of the shell is thus used to house the hull locking means on the ~ mha ~ e, as well as the actio handle ~ ..e ~, l 10 these means. It suffices to adjust the position ~ n ~ ire of the shell vis-à-vis of the base to move the handle up, against the action of the means él ~ ctiq ~ les ~
to release the locking fingers of the transverse notches in which they erlg ~ ges.
The shell can then slide free ", ~" L vis-à-vis the emh ~ cç, until in the new position ~ n ~ ll ~ ire so-lh ~ itélo in which the operator releases the pressure exerted by the handle to 15 perform a new blocking in this position.
According to a simple embodiment of this seat, the means el ~ ctic associated with locking rods are constituted by two IG ~ SOll ~ in the form of cane beaks mounted each between the underside of the shell and a locking rod.
In any case, the invention will be well understood with the aid of the description which follows, in 20 reference to the drawing sçhPm ~ tick appended represent ~ nt by way of example not l;,; l; l,; r, a embodiment of this seat.
Figure 1 is a side view, Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of its lower part along the line Figure II-II, Figure 3 is a pe view, ~ ecLive and on an enlarged scale of the locking device of the shell on the Space.
The child car seat shown in the drawing con "~ nd a base 2 intended to rest on a seat or seat of a motor vehicle and to be fixed on this seat, for example by non re straps, olGse..lées drawing. On the base 2, is mounted 30 a shell 3 comprising, coming from molding by a blowing technique in a single piece a seat 4 and a back 5, the seat and the back having side edges 6 fol ", ~" L of the armrests, and ensuring the holding of the child's bust when installed in the seat. This shell is equipped, in a manner known per se, with a comfort padding for the child, as well as a restraint harness thereof. These elements are not presellLés to 35 drawing since they are a known technique. The shell has openings for fixing the various accessories, these openings can also be used for p ~ cs ~ ge of child seat attachment straps on the seat of a motor vehicle.
WO 97/08011 PCT ~ FR96 / 01318 - According to a characteristic of the invention, the base 2, made of material synthetic and obtained by a souffl ~ ge technique, has an upper surface central and lon ~ ih1 ~ 1in ~ the curve 7, this surface being centered on an axis located above the base and oriented transversely ~ lement thereof. This base includes eg ~ nt two 5 side flanges 8 which form an integral part thereof, and which (limit the upper surface curve 7. In each rim 8 is mPn ~ g ~ e a groove 9 whose underside is constituted by the upper surface 7 of the receptacle For its part, the shell 3 comprises, on its lower face, two lateral pads 12, same curvature as the upper surface 7 of the cnnb ~ c ~, and dectinec to bear on 10 this surface. Each shoe 12 has a rib 13 which is offset from its outer face, engaged in the groove 9 of the corresponding flange 8 of the base. The lower surface 14 of each rib 13 of a shoe 12 is formed by the underside itself of the shoe.
This seat structure therefore makes it possible to produce the component parts of the seat, the base 2 and the shell 3 with integrated means for mounting one on the other.
As shown in the drawing, each flange 8 of the base 2 has notches transverse 15 distributed over its length, and opening into its upper face. For its part, the hull is equipped, at the central space 16 formed between the two pads 12, with a handle 17 mounted on the c ~ ll ~ iLés of two rigid longitudinal rods ~ oriented from the front rearward. These rods 18 have, at their posterior ~ e, a transverse part 20 19 facing outwards, passing through a shoe 12 forming, at this level, a bearing 20 p ~ el ~ the rotation of the transverse part 19. This transverse part 19 is extended by a return 22 towards the front, itself extended by a transverse part 23 facing towards outside, rul-n & nl a locking finger ~ ge intended to be engaged in a notch 15 opening into the upper face of a flange 8.
As shown in the drawing, the rods 18 are sol-mices Gh ~ rllne to the action of a spring 24 in the shape of a cane beak, tending to separate the rod from the bottom of the seat, that is to say at push the rod under consideration. This action of the springs 24 results in the m ~ inti ~ n locking fingers 23 in the eng ~ gée position in notches 15 of the ~ mbace. For make a setting of llinrlin ~ icon of the shell relative to the in-b ~ this ~ it is enough for lllltilic ~ tor to lift the handle 17 against the action of the springs 24, which results in the release of the fingers 23 out of the lS notches. It is then possible to slide the pads 12 of the shell 3 on the upper face of the base to bring the shell into another position an ~ ll ~ ire. When the shell is in the new desired position, the ~ ltilic ~ tellr releases the pressure on the handle 17, allowing the fingers to locking 23 to penetrate into the corresponding notches 15 formed in the flanges 8 of I'lnh ~ ee As is clear from the above, the invention brings a great improvement to the technique ~ ~ ie ~ e mad, - "s ~ alll a car seat for children, of simple structure, whose number of component parts is very limited, while having a practical character for the utility ~ te lr, given the ease of adjusting the in ~ lin ~ i ~ on the hull, and S having excellent stability, taking into account the spacing of the contact surfaces between the shell and the ~ mha ~ e It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the sole embodiment of this children's car seat, described above by way of example, it fits in the colll, ~ ire all variants. This is how nolal, ll, slow that the general structures of the base 10 and the shell could be reversed, the underside of the shell having a surface continuous with flanges provided with grooves and the upper face of the base having a discontinuous surface with side edges provided with ner ~ ures, without leaving it for as much within the scope of the invention.
