Abstract

Process for the elimination of mercury and possibly arsenic in hydrocarbon charges containing mercury and sulfur, characterized in that said charge is passed under hydrogen into contact with an arsenic capture mass with properties catalysts containing at least one metal from the group formed by nickel cobalt iron palladium platinum, at least one metal from the group formed by chromium molybdenum tungsten uranium and an active phase support, said mass being followed on the path of the charge of, or mixed with , a mercury capture mass containing a sulphide of at least one metal from the copper iron silver group or sulfur and an active phase support.
