Domínio da invenção
A presente invenção refere-se ao domínio das embalagens formadas por meio de películas plásticas. A presente invenção refere-se mais precisamente a uma embalagem, cujas extremidades são soldadas ponta a ponta.
A invenção refere-se também a um processo de fabricação de 10 uma embalagem feita a partir de uma película termoplástica e cujas extremidades são soldadas ponta a ponta.
Estado da técnica
As embalagens confeccionadas a partir de películas contendo pelo menos uma camada de plástico, formando, por exemplo, sachês, tubos ou ain15 da tijolos são conhecidas no estado da técnica. Essas embalagens são notadamente confeccionadas por soldagem das extremidades da película.
Um primeiro método de soldagem consiste em realizar uma ligação dita revestimento - revestimento, na qual se solda a face inferior da película sobre ela própria. Essa ligação é ilustrada na figura 1.
Um segundo método de soldagem consiste em realizar uma ligação dita revestimento - couro na qual se forma um recobrimento das extremidades da película e solda-se a face inferior sobre a face superior dessa película. Essa ligação é ilustrada na figura 2.
Um terceiro método de ligação dito ponta a ponta consiste em soldar as extremidades da película, sem sobrepô-las. Esse método ilustrado na figura 3 é descrito nas patentes WO2005095105A1 e US5569144 e US4733800.
A título de exemplo, a patente US4733800 descreve a realização de um tubo flexível fabricado a partir de uma película plástica de multicama30 da e tendo propriedades de não retorno elástico; propriedade característica dos tubos flexíveis em alumínio. Essa patente propõe a utilização de uma cinta soldada no interior ou no exterior do tubo e ligando as extremidades
Petição 870180053350, de 21/06/2018, pág. 4/9 soldadas, essa cinta contendo uma folha metálica que oferece as propriedades de não retorno. A patente mencionada precisa que a espessura da folha metálica na cinta seja superior à espessura da folha metálica na película de multicamada. Um inconveniente maior dessa patente é ligado à dificuldade de fechar as extremidades do corpo tubular confeccionado. Para fabricar um tubo para produtos pastosos (dentifrício, por exemplo) é comum soldar uma cabeça de tubo moldada por injeção sobre a extremidade do corpo tubular. A soldagem de uma cabeça de tubo sobre um corpo tubular obtido segundo o ensinamento dessa patente US 4733800 é particularmente difícil de realizar. As extremidades da cinta soldada criam uma descontinuidade da superfície interna do corpo tubular, por conseguinte ocasionam um risco de escapamento. É também sugerido nessa patente soldar essa cinta na extremidade do tubo. Todavia, essa cinta de acentuada espessura contendo uma camada de alumínio prejudica muito a estética da embalagem.
A patente US 5569144 descreve um dispositivo de soldagem ponta a ponta das extremidades da película. O tubo obtido apresenta propriedades estéticas melhoradas, com uma zona de soldadura quase invisível. Todavia, a pouca resistência do tubo ao nível da zona soldada torna a utilização desses tubos no mercado muito arriscada.
O pedido de patente internacional W02005095105 descreve um método para melhorar a soldagem ponta a ponta de uma película de multicamada, comportando uma camada não-soldante. Esse método consiste em utilizar um laminado, comportando películas soldantes no nível das faces inferior e superior; a camada não-soldante presa entre as películas soldantes achando-se em recuo no nível das extremidades da película; de modo que, quando da soldagem ponta a ponta, as camadas soldantes envolvam a camada não-soldante no nível de sua extremidade e permitam uma soldagem da película sobre toda a sua espessura. Esse método permite a melhoria da soldagem ponta a ponta de películas de multicamadas, todavia os tubos de multicamadas realizados segundo o método proposto no pedido W02005095105 apresentam uma resistência no nível da soldadura inferior à resistência da película.
A principal dificuldade da soldagem ponta a ponta é a obtenção de uma zona soldada, cuja resistência é próxima da resistência da película. Procura-se em particular prevenir o modo de ruptura frágil que é observado no nível da soldadura ponta a ponta, quando a soldadura é solicitada em tração.
A invenção permite realizar embalagens soldadas ponta a ponta a partir de uma película de multicamada, comportando pelo menos uma camada não-soldante; as embalagens obtidas, de acordo com a invenção, apresentando uma resistência da zona soldada pelo menos igual à resistência da película, e propriedades estéticas melhoradas.
Exposto geral da invenção
A invenção refere-se à soldagem ponta a ponta de uma película composta de várias camadas das quais pelo menos uma camada funcional e uma camada soldante, essa camada funcional sendo o mais perfeitamente soldada. Acrescenta-se uma cinta que liga as extremidades da película, a fim de compensar a perda de resistência ao nível da zona soldada; a perda de resistência estando ligada ao fato de as extremidades dessa camada funcional sendo o melhor parcialmente soldadas ou de a camada soldante ter propriedades diminuídas ao nível da soldadura.
Os diferentes aspectos da invenção serão melhor compreendidos com o auxílio das seguintes figuras e de sua descrição detalhada:
- as figuras 1 a 4 descrevem os principais métodos descritos na técnica anterior para ligar as extremidades de uma película.
A figura 1 ilustra a soldagem do dito revestimento que consiste em ligar as extremidades 5 dessa película 2 sobre sua face inferior 4, essa face inferior ficando situada no interior da embalagem.
A figura 2 ilustra o modo de soldagem do dito couro - revestimento ou com recobrimento que consiste em soldar as extremidades 5 da película 2; a face superior 3 da película 2 sendo ligada sobre a face inferior 4 da película 2; essas faces inferior e superior ficando situadas respectivamente no interior e no exterior da embalagem.
A figura 3 ilustra o modo de soldagem da dita ponta a ponta das extremidades 5 da película 2.
A figura 4 mostra um tipo de ligação, segundo o estado da técnica.
A figura 5 ilustra um modo preferencial da invenção que consiste em uma ligação 1 das extremidades 5 da película 2; a película 2 sendo formada de pelo menos uma camada soldante 8 e uma camada funcional 7, essas extremidades 5 sendo soldadas ponta a ponta unicamente no nível da camada soldante 8; uma cinta 6 de espessura estreita sendo colada sobre a face superior 3 da película 2 e ligando as extremidades não-soldadas da camada 7.
A figura 6 ilustra a ligação de uma película 2 parcialmente soldada ponta a ponta no nível de suas extremidades 5, uma cinta 6 sendo acrescentada sobre a face superior 3 da ligação formando a superfície externa da embalagem; uma segunda cinta 10 sendo acrescentada sobre a face inferior 4 da embalagem e formando a superfície interna da embalagem; essas cintas 6 e 10 ligando as extremidades 5 parcialmente soldadas.
A figura 7 ilustra o fato de que uma camada de revestimento 11 pode ser acrescentada sobre a superfície externa 3, a fim de cobrir toda a superfície da película 2 e da cinta 6. A camada de revestimento 11 forma a superfície externa da embalagem, a cinta 6 se acha presa na estrutura de multicamada.
A figura 8 ilustra a realização de um corpo tubular, segundo o modo preferencial da invenção.
Exposto detalhado da invenção
Definição dos termos utilizados no exposto da invenção:
- Soldagem: operação que consiste em ligar, fazendo fundir dois materiais de mesma natureza ou miscíveis no estado fundido, essa miscibilidade manifestando-se pela difusão e pela interpenetração das cadeias moleculares; depois fazendo-se resfriar esses materiais, a fim de congelar o estado de interpenetração molecular;
- colagem: operação de ligação de dois materiais que não são de mesma natureza ou imiscível no estado fundido. A colagem pode fazer intervir mecanismos químicos (reação das pontas de cadeia, reticulação), mecanismos físicos (forças de Van des Waals, evaporação). A colagem é uma operação de ligação que pode ser realizada à temperatura ambiente ou aquecendo-se os materiais;
- camada soldante: camada cuja principal característica é de permitir e facilitar a confecção da embalagem por soldagem;
- camada funcional: camada cuja principal característica é o fornecimento de propriedades diferentes da faculdade de se soldar. As camadas funcionais geralmente de fina espessura são utilizadas, por exemplo, para melhorar a aparência da embalagem (camadas impressas, camadas transparentes), para melhorar a resistência da embalagem (camadas biorientadas, camadas técnicas), para fornecer propriedades barreira (oxigênio, aromas) ou para fornecer a funcionalidade (rasgo fácil para abertura da embalagem).
As camadas soidantes são geralmente à base de poliolefinas (polietileno, polipropileno). A soldagem ponta a ponta coloca em contato uma quantidade muito pequena de matéria, o que torna mais difícil a obtenção de uma ligação resistente. Foi observado que uma camada soldante composta de uma mistura de 80% de polietileno de baixa densidade linear e de 20% de polietileno baixa de densidade radicalar permitia obter uma soldadura resistente.
As camadas funcionais são à base de uma grande diversidade de resina, cuja escolha depende das propriedades buscadas (por exemplo: PET, PA, PS, EVOH, PVDC). As principais camadas funcionais utilizadas hoje são as camadas mono ou biorientadas (PP, PET, PA, PS); as películas com propriedades barreira (PET com depósito de um coating SiOx, PVDC, EVOH, PA). Uma camada funcional pode também ser em alumínio ou em papel.
A invenção permite obter embalagens soldadas com uma variação de espessura desprezível no nível da zona soldada e tendo uma resistência da zona soldada equivalente à resistência da película. As embalagens obtidas podem ser impressas sobre toda a sua superfície, sem ruptura da impressão na zona soldada.
A figura 5 ilustra um modo preferencial da invenção. Esse modo preferencial consiste na ligação 1 das extremidades 5 de uma película 2, comportando pelo menos uma camada soldante 8 na superfície inferior 4 e uma camada funcional 7 na superfície superior 3; essa face superior 3 que forma a superfície externa da embalagem e essa superfície inferior 4 formando a superfície interna da embalagem. A soldagem ponta a ponta das extremidades 5 leva a uma ligação parcial das extremidades da película 2, a camada funcional 7 não se soldando ponta a ponta. Uma cinta 6 é colada ou soldada sobre a superfície superior 3 da película, a fim de ligar as extremidades não-soldadas dessa camada e reforçar a ligação. A cinta 6 é freqüentemente colada sobre a camada funcional 3, a soldagem de uma cinta sobre a superfície 3 dessa camada funcional não sendo geralmente possível. Essa cinta 6 pode ser impressa ou transparente, ela pode conter uma camada barreira, a fim de compensar uma eventual descontinuidade da camada de barreiras no nível da zona soldada. A espessura da cinta 6 é pequena diante da espessura da película 2. A espessura da cinta está preferencialmente compreendida entre 10 e 60 mícrons. A cinta pode ser aplicada, antes da soldagem ou após a soldagem ponta a ponta do laminado. A camada soldante 8, que forma a superfície interna 4 da embalagem garante as propriedades higiênicas no interior da embalagem e no nível da ligação.
A embalagem confeccionada, segundo o modo preferencial da invenção ilustrado na figura 5, é particularmente vantajosa e inovadora. Esse modo preferencial da invenção permite confeccionar embalagens por soldagem ponta a ponta de películas, comportando somente duas camadas, uma primeira camada sendo soldante e uma segunda camada sendo funcional. A embalagem confeccionada segundo esse modo pode ser impressa sobre toda a superfície da embalagem sem descontinuidade no nível da zona soldada. A cinta 6 é, de preferência, transparente e de espessura estreita, a fim de não modificar o aspecto da embalagem. A cinta 6 pode também ser impressa.
O modo preferencial, ilustrado na figura 5 é vantajoso para ligar ponta a ponta películas, compreendendo camadas, cuja diferença de temperatura de fusão é superior a 20°C. A ligação dessas películas segundo o modo preferencial consiste em aquecer essas películas a uma temperatura próxima da temperatura de fusão da camada soldante, e em ligar as extremidades dessa película, por intermédio de uma cinta colada ou soldada.
A figura 6 ilustra o caso em que uma primeira cinta 6 é acrescentada sobre a face externa da embalagem e uma segunda cinta 10 é acrescentada sobre a face interna da embalagem. A ligação apresentada na figura 8 é vantajosa, quando a espessura da camada soldante 8 é estreita. A cinta 6 é geralmente colada sobre a face superior 3 da camada funcional 7, enquanto que a cinta 10 é vantajosamente soldada sobre a face inferior 4 da camada 8, formando a superfície interna da embalagem.
Uma variante da invenção ilustrada na figura 7 consiste em depositar uma camada de resina sintética 11 que cobre a superfície externa da película 2; essa camada de resina sintética 11, cobrindo toda a superfície 3 da película 2, assim como a superfície da cinta 6, de modo que a cinta 6 se ache presa no interior da ligação 1. A ligação ilustrada na figura 7 é particularmente vantajosa para confeccionar corpos tubulares, cuja zona de soldadura seja totalmente invisível, e tendo uma grande resistência da zona soldada. A camada de revestimento 16 é preferencialmente extrudada sobre a superfície da película 2 e essa camada é escolhida para aderir sobre a superfície da película 2 e da cinta 6. O revestimento 11 pode conter várias camadas para melhorar a adesão sobre a película 2, para melhorar as propriedades de barreiras ou as propriedades de superfície da embalagem.
A figura 8 ilustra a confecção de um corpo tubular por soldagem ponta a ponta de uma película, segundo o modo preferencial da invenção. Esse corpo tubular é particularmente vantajoso, pois pode ser confeccionado com uma película, comportando somente duas camadas, uma primeira camada sendo soldante e uma segunda camada sendo funcional. Essa película não pode ser utilizada para realizar um corpo tubular, segundo o estado da técnica, pois a soldagem da face superior sobre a face inferior dessa película não é possível. A invenção permite realizar embalagens mais resisten8 tes, mais estéticas, e permite utilizar maior variedade de películas de multicamadas.
A soldagem ponta a ponta de películas, tal como descrita anteriormente é particularmente vantajosa, porque permite confeccionar embalagens tendo propriedades estéticas melhoradas; a melhoria da estética da embalagem estando ligada ao fato de a zona de soldadura ser pouco visível e de a parede da embalagem apresentar uma superespessura desprezível no nível da zona soldada.
A invenção não se limita aos exemplos ilustrados pelas figuras 5 a 8. Corpos tubulares podem ser realizados segundo os métodos apresentados nas figuras 5 a 7. Outros métodos resultantes da combinação dos métodos ilustrados pelas figuras 5 a 7 fazem parte também da invenção, da mesma forma que a utilização de equivalentes.
A invenção permite realizar embalagens econômicas, de espessura estreita e de grande resistência. A invenção pode ser utilizada para a ligação de películas plásticas de multicamadas, mas também para películas compreendendo camadas de alumínio, das camadas de papel ou de papelão.
A espessura da cinta é estreita diante da espessura das películas. Em geral, a espessura da cinta é 5 a 10 vezes menor do que a espessura da película. A espessura dessa cinta está preferencialmente compreendida entre 10 e 60 mícrons. A cinta pode ser impressa ou transparente; ela pode ser colada ou soldada sobre a superfície do laminado; ela pode conter uma camada de barreira, a fim de melhorar as propriedades de barreira da ligação. A cinta pode ser aplicada antes da soldagem ou após soldagem ponta a ponta do laminado. A cinta pode ser uma cinta adesiva, cuja aplicação é feita à temperatura ambiente, a cinta pode ser colada por acréscimo de cola na interface entre a película e essa cinta, a cinta pode ser colada, aquecendo-se essa cinta, a cinta pode ser soldada. A força de adesão da cinta sobre a superfície da película é um fator determinante da resistência da ligação. Uma força de adesão muito pequena leva a riscos de ruptura da ligação, quando a embalagem é solicitada em pressão, em tração, à dobra, em choque, ou em fadiga. Também, é desejado conseguir uma forte adesão entre a cinta e a película, de modo que essa cinta não possa ser separada dessa película.
A cinta pode ser soldada ou colada sobre a superfície da película. Na superfície superior da ligação que forma a superfície externa da embalagem, é freqüentemente favorável colar a cinta sobre a película. Numerosas colas e métodos de colagens podem ser considerados. A título de exemplo, um primeiro método consiste em levar uma cinta sobre a qual a cola foi previamente aplicada. Uma primeira variante desse método é a cinta adesiva aplicável à temperatura ambiente, uma segunda variante é uma cinta adesiva que se cola, aquecendo-se. A utilização de uma cinta adesiva leva a um processo fácil de controlar e facilmente industrializável. Um outro método consiste em aplicar a cola sobre a cinta ou sobre a película no momento da ligação. A utilização de colas reagentes com dois componentes permite obter elevados níveis de adesão. Geralmente, a operação de colagem não necessita de tratamento particular da superfície da zona ligada, todavia, é possível fazer tratamentos de superfície antes da colagem (tratamento corona, por exemplo).
Quando a cinta é colada sobre a superfície da película, é, às vezes, vantajoso interromper a cinta antes da extremidade do corpo tubular. A cinta se estende, portanto, sobre uma parte somente do comprimento do corpo tubular. Quando da ligação da extremidade do corpo tubular e da cabeça de tubo; é freqüentemente preferível que a cinta esteja ausente da zona de ligação.
Em função do modo de aplicação e das propriedades a fornecer, serão encontrados diferentes tipos de cintas:
1. a cinta é soldada: ela comporta uma camada de PET soldante (co-extrudado, amorfo, revestido), OPP co-extrudado, PE, PP ou verniz termo-selante, por exemplo;
2. a cinta é colada e é revestida de cola. Sua única particularidade é ter uma camada de cola na superfície, quer seja um adesivo utilizável a quente ou a frio. O adesivo pode ser depositado em linha ou presente sobre a cinta. A cinta é então estocada sob a forma de bobinas, a cola sendo então protegida por um papel ou película siliconada. O silicone pode eventualmente ser depositado diretamente sobre a superfície externa da cinta e permitir assim evitar a proteção siliconada a eliminar no momento da colocação da cinta.
Qualquer tipo de material é utilizável para essa cinta, e, em particular, os materiais descritos nos pontos 1 e 2, aos quais se pode acrescentar o papel, o alumínio. A definição da cinta será então orientada pelas propriedades que são buscadas em termos de barreira, resistência mecânica, aspecto;
3. a cinta é colada, mas não é ela mesma revestida de cola. A cola pode ser depositada sobre a película 2 ou ser depositada em linha. Os materiais utilizáveis são os mesmos que para o ponto 3 acima.
Para fornecer propriedades de barreiras da cinta pode incluir uma camada de alumínio, uma camada de PET ou OPP barreira (com recortes PVOH, PVDC, SiOx, AlOx, metalização, ou qualquer outra película disponível no mercado), uma camada co-extrudada com barreita tipo EVOH.
De uma forma geral e para assegurar uma continuidade das propriedades do produto, a cinta de reforço pode incluir as mesmas camadas funcionais que as películas 2 utilizadas para a embalagem, isto é, PET, OPP, OPA, PET barreira, PET metalizado, OPP barreira, OPP metalizado, alumínio, papel, PE, PP...
A cinta pode assim ser composta de várias camadas. Ela pode ser, por exemplo, em OPP, PET, papel, PE, PP, OPA, PA, PET/PE, OPP/PE, OPA/PE, papel/PE, PET/alu, OPP/alu, OPA/alu, PET/alu/PE, PET/alu/PP, OPP/alu/PE, OPP/alu/PP, OPA/alu/PE, OPA/alu/PP, Papel/alu/PE, papel/PET, papel/alu,... Citamos aqui apenas o nome genérico dos produtos. Esse nome engloba o conjunto da família do produto. PET pode assim ser um PET biorientado clássico, um PET amorfo, um PET coextrudado, um PET SiOx, um PET Alox, um PET metalizado,... Um PE compreende todas as películas co-extrudadas à base de PE; podem entre outros comportar uma camada de EVOH ou de PA. O mesmo acontece com as ou11 tras referências.
De uma forma mais geral todas as películas do mercado em uma faixa de espessura de 10 a 60 mícrons podem estar presentes sozinhos ou em várias camadas nessas cintas.
A invenção é particularmente vantajosa para confeccionar tubos flexíveis para produtos cosméticos, farmacêuticos ou alimentares. EXEMPLOS
Nos exemplos que se seguem, as estruturas de multicamadas são descritas, a partir da face externa em direção à face interna da embalagem, isto é, a partir da face superior em direção da face inferior da ligação. Para simplificar a compreensão da invenção, as camadas adesivas que ligam as camadas soldantes e funcionais da película 2 não são indicadas. Só a camada de cola que assegura a coesão entre a cinta 6 ou 10 e a película 2 é precisada.

De forma não exaustiva, pode-se recensear um certo número de películas que podem ser utilizadas para a soldadura ponta a ponta:
PE EVOH PE, PE / ALU / PE, PET/ alu / PE, PET / PE, OPP / alu / PE, OPP / PE, kraft / PE, Kraft / alu / PE essas mesmas estruturas podem ser declinadas com um soldante PP ao invés de PE.
Foi citado aqui apenas o nome genérico dos produtos. Esse no13 me engloba o conjunto da família do produto. PET pode assim ser um PET biorientado clássico, um PET amorfo, um PET co-extrudado, um PET SiOx, um PET Alox, um PET metalizado ... um PE compreende todas as películas co-extrudadas à base de PE; eles podem, entre outros, comportar uma ca5 mada de EVOH, de PA.
De uma forma mais geral todas as películas do mercado podendo estar presentes em uma película soldável ponta a ponta contanto que a ligação comporte pelo menos uma película soldante.
Claims (9)
- REIVINDICAÇÕES1. Embalagem feita a partir de uma película termoplástica (2), caracterizada pelo fato de que as extremidades (5) da película são posicionadas ponta a ponta encostando uma na outra, essa película sendo compos5 ta de uma pluralidade de camadas, incluindo pelo menos uma primeira camada soldável (8) e uma segunda camada (7), cuja soldagem ponta a ponta é apenas parcial ou inexistente, as extremidades de cada uma das camadas (7, 8) sendo colocadas em contato direto, e pelo menos uma cinta fina (6) tendo uma espessura que é pequena em comparação com a espessura da10 película (2), essa cinta (6) recobrindo essas extremidades (5) e sendo diretamente fixada a das faces (3) da segunda camada (7), a diferença no ponto de fusão entre a primeira camada (8) e a(s) outra(s) camada(s) sendo superior a 20°C.
- 2. Embalagem, de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizada15 pelo fato de compreender duas cintas (6, 10) solidárias às extremidades (5) da película (2) e colocadas de cada lado da película.
- 3. Embalagem, de acordo com a reivindicação 1 ou 2, caracterizada pelo fato de que a pelo menos uma cinta (6) é colada.
- 4. Embalagem, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações20 precedentes, caracterizada pelo fato de que a segunda camada (7) e a pelo menos uma cinta (6) são recobertas por uma camada de resina sintética (11).
- 5. Processo de realização da embalagem definida na reivindicação 1, o processo consistindo em soldar ponta a ponta as extremidades de25 uma película (2) composta de uma pluralidade de camadas, as extremidades de cada camada sendo colocadas em contato direto, essa película comportando pelo menos uma primeira camada soldável (8) e uma segunda camada (7), cuja soldagem ponta a ponta é apenas parcial ou inexistente;caracterizado pelo fato de as extremidades da película (2) serem30 posicionadas ponta a ponta encostando uma na outra, depois sucessivamente aquecidas e resfriadas, a fim de soldar as extremidades dessa primeira camada e em que pelo menos uma cinta (6) é fixada sobre a segundaPetição 870180015032, de 26/02/2018, pág. 5/11 camada (7), de maneira a recobrir essas extremidades.
- 6. Processo, de acordo com a reivindicação 5, caracterizado pelo fato de a cinta (6) ser fixada à segunda camada (7) previamente a essas operações de aquecimento e resfriamento.
- 7. Processo, de acordo com a reivindicação 5, caracterizado pelo fato de a cinta (6) ser fixada à segunda camada (7) posteriormente a essas operações de aquecimento e resfriamento.
- 8. Processo, de acordo com a reivindicação 5, caracterizado pelo fato de a cinta (6) ser fixada à segunda camada (7) conjuntamente a essas operações de aquecimento e resfriamento.
- 9. Processo, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 5 a 7, caracterizado pelo fato de que se deposita pelo menos uma camada de resina sintética que cobre a superfície de ligação formada a partir da referida película (2) e da referida pelo menos uma cinta (6).Petição 870180015032, de 26/02/2018, pág. 6/111/3
