Abstract
"MéTODO E ARRANJO DE GERAR PROPRIEDADES DE LINHA DE UMA LINHA DE SINAL". O comprimento e atenuação de uma linha de sinal entre um transmissor e um equipamento de instalação de cliente são para serem estimados. Uma impedância de entrada de linha dependente de freqüência (Z~ entrada~(<sym>)), como vista do transmissor, é medida e um valor de impedância absoluta (<sym>Z~ entrada~(<sym>)<sym>) é gerado. O último é mostrado como uma curva (A1) no diagrama com a freqüência (,sym>) na abscissa e a impedância (<sym>Z~ entrada~(<sym>)<sym>) na ordenada. Valores extremos (Max1, Max2, Max3; Min1, Min2, Min3) são denotados e uma distância de freqüência (FD1 - FD4) entre dois consecutivos dos valores extremos é gerada. O comprimento de linha (L) é gerado como L=1/2.vop/FD1, em que vop é a velocidade de propagação de um sinal na linha. A atenuação é estimada multiplicando o comprimento de linha com um valor de atenuação médio para o tipo de linha atual. As vantagens são que o comprimento de linha pode ser estimado com boa precisão de uma maneira simples para linhas curtas e que a atenuação de linha é estimada de uma maneira simples.
