Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO DE CATALISADORES, MéTODO PARA A SUA PREPARAçãO, E MéTODO PARA PURIFICAR O áCIDO TEREFTáLICO". A presente invenção de refere a composições de catalisador para purificar o ácido tereftálico a partir de p-carbóxi benzaldeído, com base nos metais do grupo VIII que compreendem cristalitos de paládio cataliticamente ativo ou paládio e pelo menos um metal do grupo VIII da Tabela Periódica dos Elementos aplicados à superfície de um material de carbono, sendo que um material do tipo grafite mesoporoso com um tamanho médio de mesoporo na faixa de 40 a 400 <134>, a proporção dos mesoporos no volume total de poros de pelo menos 0,5, e o grau de similaridade de grafite de pelo menos 20% é utilizado como o material de carbono, onde os cristalitos de metal são distribuídos no volume dos grânulos do material de carbono de uma maneira tal que os valores máximos de distribuição desses cristalitos devem estar a uma distância da superfície exterior do grânulo que corresponde a 1-30% de seu raio; a presente invenção também se refere a um método para a preparação de composições de catalisador, e a um método de purificação de ácido tereftálico apropriado para a síntese subseq³ente dos polímeros e dos copolímeros de poliéster utilizados na fabricação de fibras têxteis.
