Abstract

"MéTODO PARA TRATAR POLìMEROS DE POLIURETANO, POLIURETANO/URéIA E POLIURéIA MOLDADOS POR INJEçãO DE REAçãO". Um método para tratar polímeros de poliuretano, poliuretano/uréia e poliuréia moldados por injeção de reação compreendendo expor um polímero de poliuretano, poliuretano/uréia e poliuréia a uma quantidade de energia infravermelha suficiente para aumentar a temperatura do polímero a pelo menos 180°C, e então manter a temperatura do polímero em ou acima daquela temperatura, por um período de tempo suficiente para aumentar a propriedade de impacto Gardner, como medida usando ASTM-D-3029, quando comparada ao mesmo polímero que foi aquecido à mesma temperatura e mantido nela pelo mesmo tempo em um forno de convecção. A invenção produz notadas melhorias em propriedades de impacto, temperatura de curvatura de aquecimento e de distorção por calor, e portanto é particularmente adequada para rápida preparação de partes usando um transportador de produção em massa e é particularmente bem adequada para preparação de partes que devam ser submetidas a processos de alta-temperatura posteriores, tais como o processo de "E-coat" (revestimento E).
