Patente de Invenção: <B>"MéTODO DE DECODIFICAçãO DE PREDIçãO DE IMAGEM, APARELHO DE DECODIFICAçãO DE PREDIçãO DE IMAGEM, MéTODO DE CODIFICAçãO DE PREDIçãO DE IMAGEM, APARELHO DE CODIFICAçãO DE PREDIçãO DE IMAGEM E MEIO DE ARMAZENAMENTO DE DADOS"<D>. é revelado um método de decodificação de predição de imagem no qual são informados os dados obtidos por compressivamente codificar uma imagem de tamanho variável usando um método prescrito, uma imagem de predição é gerada usando, como uma imagem de referência, pelo menos uma imagem reproduzida que tenha sido reproduzida antes de uma imagem sendo um objeto da decodificação, e a imagem objeto é sujeita a decodificação de predição. Neste método, a imagem de predição é gerada usando-se, como uma imagem de referência, pelo menos uma imagem reproduzida e que inclua dados de imagem significantes a serem referidos. Portanto, quando vários objetos constituindo uma imagem são sujeitos a codificação compreensiva e transmitidos objeto por objeto para aumentar a eficiência da compressão, é impedido que uma imagem de comprimento variável que já tenha desaparecido seja usada como a imagem de referência para a decodificação de predição. Como resultado, os dados codificados obtidos pela codificação compressiva eficiente que suprimem a quantidade de código podem ser apropriadamente decodificados.
