Abstract

<B>"INSERçõES DE CORTE PARA UMA FRESA DE ATUAçãO LATERAL E FRESA DE ATUAçãO LATERAL COMPREENDENDO TAIS INSERçõES DE CORTE"<D>. A presente invenção trata de uma inserção de corte para ferramentas de fresagem, principalmente fresas de atuação lateral e fresas de abertura de fendas, apresentando superfícies superiores e inferiores mutuamente opostas (17, 18), das quais pelo menos a inferior (17) é substancialmente planar, a fim de formar uma superfície de base que pode ser apoiar numa superfície de suporte cooperante sobre a ferramenta de fresagem. Adicionalmente, a inserção de corte compreende primeira e segunda superfícies laterais mutuamente opostas (20) e terceira e quarta superfícies laterais ou de aresta mutuamente opostas (30, 31), em que quaisquer destas formam uma borda de corte principal (23, 25) numa linha de borda longe do ponto de origem da superfície de base (17). A inserção de corte pode ser girada em meia volta, a fim de incluir respectivamente a dita borda e a outra borda de corte principal. Uma das bordas de corte principal (25) está mais distante que a outra borda de corte principal (23), em relação ao eixo central do furo do parafuso, a borda de corte mais distante sendo mais curta que a borda de corte mais próxima (23) e localizada substancialmente de forma simétrica em relação ao meio da dita superfície lateral ou de aresta (30). Desse modo, quando as inserções de corte são montadas em direções alternadas na fresa de atuação lateral, é obtida uma divisão dos cavacos, e, portanto, um aperfeiçoamento do fluxo de cavacos.
