Abstract
"REFRIGERADOR ADSORVENTE BALANCEADO". Um aparelho de trasnferência de calor (2) que usa um material adsorvente para gerar um efeito de resfriamento. O aparelho de transferência de calor (2) inclui um primeiro recipiente (4) contendo material adsorvente (10) e um recipiente (6) interconectado ao primeiro (4). Uma substância de trabalho está contida dentro de dois recipientes interconectados (4,6). O material adsorvente (10) e a substância de trabalho (26,28) são dimensionados tal que a substância de trabalho é completamente adsorvida em ambos os estados líquido e sólido (26,28) pelo material adsorvente (10) a partir do segundo recipiente (6) dentro do primeiro (4), esfriando o segundo recipiente (6) e aquecendo o primeiro (4). A adsorção completa inclui adsorção da substância de trabalho por vaporização quando a substância de trabalho está em fase líquida (26) e adsorção por sublimação quando a substância de trabalho está em uma fase sólida (28). O segundo recipiente (6) contém uma espuma compressivel que acomoda a expansão da substância de trabalho quando muda a fase de um líquido para um sólido e impede o segundo recipiente (6) de quebrar.
