um método para prever o rendimento de um campo de milho é apresentado. o método possui as etapas de posicionar uma câmera digital a uma distância definida acima de um plano médio de espigas de um campo de milho, capturando uma imagem digital de uma seção do campo de milho, determinando a área da seção de campo de milho capturada, determinando a área total das espigas na imagem digital em comparação com a área total da imagem digital, e determinar o rendimento do campo a partir da área total das espigas na imagem digital em comparação com a área total da imagem digital, com a área determinada da seção de campo de milho capturada, com o peso médio de grãos de uma espiga, com uma área de campo total e com um fator de calibração.
