Abstract

a presente invenção revela um sistema para detectar halitose que compreende um sensor de gás (116) para gerar um sinal de sensor que sinaliza a detecção de compostos indicativos de halitose exalados através de uma cavidade bucal; um sensor de imagem (114) para capturar uma imagem (500, 510) de uma condição dental e/ou condição da língua na dita cavidade bucal; e um processador (110) acoplado de modo comunicativo ao sensor de gás e ao sensor de imagem, e adaptado para processar o sinal do sensor e a imagem de modo a determinar se, no caso do sinal de sensor sinalizar a presença de um composto indicativo de halitose, a dita halitose tem origem na dita cavidade bucal pela determinação da condição dental e/ou condição da língua na dita imagem. um método para detectar halitose e um produto de programa de computador que implementa o método também são revelados.
