A presente invenção refere-se a uma fibra ótica que inclui uma parte de núcleo central (1), uma parte de núcleo lateral (2) e uma parte blindada (3) em uma ordem a partir de um lado interno, que possui um valor de dispersão de 14 ps/nm/km ou maior e 20 ps/nm/km ou menos em um comprimento de onda de 1550 nm, uma inclinação de dispersão de 0,05 ps/nm^ 2^/km ou maior e 0,08 ps/nm^ 2^/km ou menos a um comprimento de onda de 1550 nm e uma atenuação de transmissão de 0,2 dB/km ou menos a um comprimento de onda de 1550 nm, em que a diferença de índice de refração relativa <30>1 entre a parte de núcleo central (1) e a parte blindada (3) é 0,25% ou maior e 0,50% ou menos, a diferença de índice de refração relativa <30>2 entre a parte de núcleo lateral (2) e a parte blindada (3) é 0,05% ou maior e 0,30% ou menor, uma desigualdade <30>2 < <30>1 é satisfeita, uma razão a/b entre um diâmetro externo a da parte de núcleo central (1) e um diâmetro externo b da parte de núcleo lateral (2) é 0,3 ou maior e 0,7 ou menor, e uma área de núcleo eficaz Aeff a um comprimento de onda de 1550 nm é 90 <109>m^ 2^ ou maior.
