Abstract

"GENES CODIFICANDO NOVAS PROTEìNAS COM ATIVIDADE PESTICIDA CONTRA COLEóPTEROS". A invenção provê ácidos nucléicos, variantes e fragmentos dos mesmos, obtidos das cepas de Bacillus thuringiensis codificando endotoxinas delta possuindo atividade pesticida contra pragas da ordem dos Coleópteros. A invenção adicionalmente provê ácidos nucléicos mutagenizados que foram modificados para codificar endotoxinas possuindo atividade pesticida e/ou especificidade de praga alterada. Concretizações adicionais da invenção fornecem ácidos nucléicos isolados codificando proteínas pesticidas, composições pesticidas, cassetes de expressão, microorganismos transformados e plantas compreendendo um ácido nucléico da invenção. Estas composições encontram utilização nos processos para controle das pragas, especialmente pragas de plantas.
