Abstract

"GENES CODIFICANDO NOVAS PROTEìNAS COM ATIVIDADE PESTICIDA CONTRA COLEóPTEROS". A invenção provê ácidos nucléicos, variantes e fragmentos dos mesmos, obtidos das cepas de Bacillus thuringiensis codificando endotoxinas delta possuindo atividade pesticida contra pragas da ordem dos Coleópteros. A invenção adicionalmente provê ácidos nucléicos mutagenizados que foram modificados para codificar endotoxinas possuindo atividade pesticida e/ou especificidade de praga alterada. Concretizações adicionais da invenção fornecem ácidos nucléicos isolados codificando proteínas pesticidas, composições pesticidas, cassetes de expressão, microorganismos transformados e plantas compreendendo um ácido nucléico da invenção. Estas composições encontram utilização nos processos para controle das pragas, especialmente pragas de plantas."GENES ENCODING NEW PROTEIN WITH PESTICIDAL ACTIVITY AGAINST COLLEOPTERS". The invention provides nucleic acids, variants and fragments thereof obtained from strains of Bacillus thuringiensis encoding delta endotoxins having pesticidal activity against Coleopteran pests. The invention further provides mutagenized nucleic acids which have been modified to encode endotoxins having pesticidal activity and / or altered pest specificity. Additional embodiments of the invention provide isolated nucleic acids encoding pesticidal proteins, pesticidal compositions, expression cassettes, transformed microorganisms and plants comprising a nucleic acid of the invention. These compositions find use in pest control processes, especially plant pests.
