Abstract

"RETRATOR DE CINTO DE SEGURANçA". Um retrator de cinto de segurança (50) possui um carretel (56) em torno do qual um cinto de segurança está enrolado. Um mecanismo de travamento (60) trava pelo menos inicialmente o carretel contra o movimento de rotação. Um mecanismo primário de limitação de força, tal como uma barra de torção (58) permite ao carretel girar em um modo controlado em seguida ao travamento do carretel. Um mecanismo secundário de limitação de força está localizado dentro de um recesso (100) no carretel e compreende partes do carretel e uma parte adjacente do mecanismo de travamento para aumentar a força de restrição sobre o cinto de segurança antes do mecanismo primário de limitação de força (58) se tornar efetivo.
