Abstract
"TENSIONADOR". A invenção compreende um tensionador de correia mecânico contido em si que produz amortecimento que é uma função da carga do cubo através do efeito de forças friccionais derivadas da ação deslizante das bordas mutuamente opostas. Uma primeira borda ou pistão cónico está contido dentro de um alojamento. O pistão cónico coopera com uma segunda borda ou cónica. Uma superfície da borda cónica desliza sobre a superfície interna do alojamento. A borda cónica é expansível em uma direção normal à superfície interna do alojamento. Uma mola impulsiona a borda cênica para o encaixe com o pistão cónico. Enquanto a polia é carregada, como com uma carga de impulso, o pistão irá mover-se para dentro da borda cónica. Isto, por sua vez, levará a borda cónica expandir-se contra a superfície interna do alojamento. A expansão da borda cónica dentro do alojamento aumentará a força friccional entre a borda cónica e o alojamento. Isto terá o efeito de movimentos de amortecimento do pistão cónico e, por sua vez, da polia. Quanto maior o impulso, então maior a expansão da borda cónica. Isto aumenta a força friccional resultante que resiste ao movimento entre a borda cónica e o alojamento. Enquanto a carga move-se em direção a um mínimo, a força friccional é abatida para um nível baixo permitindo a facilidade de retração do pistão.
