BELE REVERSIBLE.

BELE REVERSIBLE.
The object of the present invention is a bele whose complementary members are shaped in such a way that the bele is reversible and can be used indifferently in two positions, after turning 1800 around its longitudinal axis while allowing to '' on the one hand the easy installation of a new bele, without damaging the roof of the mine workings diantre, on the one hand the release and the fall of the last bele during the excavation of the roof
For this purpose the male end of the bele according to the invention has the shape of a trilobed head connected to the body of the bele by a narrower neck coaxial with it, while the female end is pierced with two transverse openings elongated,
one of which receives a pivot on which the neck of the male end is placed and the other serves for the placement of a wedge which presses on the central lobe of the head.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing where g
Figo 1 shows in perspective view the unassembled ends and the assembly parts of two beleso Figo 2 is an elevational view partially in section showing the two assembled ends,
In the drawing, we denote by 1 the body of the bele whose male end has the general shape of a head 2 with three lobes 3, 4, 5, connected to the body 1 by a narrower neck 6 located in the longitudinal axis of the bell.
The female end comprises the two cheeks 7 pierced with two elongated transverse openings 8, 9 intended to receive respectively the pivot 10 and the wedge 11. @
The pivot 10 is freely mounted in the opening 8 and rests at the bottom of the latter whatever the position of the bèleo It can advantageously be provided!) At its ends, with protrusions 12 for retaining of a new bele (the one on the right in Fig. 2), it suffices to "

place the neck 6 thereof on the pivot 10, holding it obliquely, then press it against the roof. It is then fixed in place in a cantilever manner by inserting the wedge 11 between the nose or central lobe 4 and the upper end of the opening 9.
The nose 4 or the end faces of the opening 9 are advantageously bevelled along the obliqueness of the corner in order to extend the contact surfaces as much as possible. Depending on the degree of sinking of wedge 11, the fanx door bell may take an inclination of up to 15 compared to the previous bell to follow the unevenness of the roof.
For caving in or, in general, removing the blast to be removed (the one on the left on Fig. 2) we only have to clear the corner to free the blast.
The dimensions of the head 2 and of the neck are established in such a way that when the head is pivoted for its installation, none of the latter's lobes can come into contact with the roof.
Due to the symmetrical shape of the head 2 and its neck, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bowel, and the possibility of sliding of the pivot 10 in the opening 9, the bowel can be turned around 1800 around this axis and used indifferently in either position.
It is understood that modifications can be made to the shape of the bowl described by way of example and that, in particular, the body of the bowl, shown in cast steel, can be made of rolled parts, the male and female ends. being then, for example, welded to them.
CLAIMS.
1.- Reversible bowel, characterized in that its male end has the shape of a trilobed head connected to the body of the bowel by a narrower neck coaxial with it, while its female end is pierced with two elongated transverse openings , one of which receives a pivot on which the self of the male end is placed and the other is used for the placement of a wedge which presses on the nose or central lobe of the head.
